This is probably your best instructional style video so far. Thise are some long perch the skinny part of the tail almost looks like its an inch longer than it should be
Myself and a friend of mine started fishing with just a bit of line and hook with a worm on the canal in Kilaloe. Like that along the wall. The amount of perch we would get with just giggling the worm. That's where it all started for us 30 years ago.
@@senanstanleyfishing Ah fair enough fair enough yes it’s all I about do considering I live next to the Moy. Be starting hopefully in a week or two till majority of kelts have left the river by then
I'm big in fishing back home in nw Ontario lake of the woods. Live Ireland now full time. Brought all my musky lures to try for pike in lough ree or derg. Do you eat those pike you catch?
@ianlougheed1216 good stuff man! No we release all of our pike here in Ireland, it’s all sport fishing for pike, killing them to eat is a big no in our fishing community 🫡
I have definitelynseen a school of 50 or so. Was about 1m of water and I was on a oier above them, couldnt believe it, never seen such a thing. To be fsir they were only small ones.

Thanks dude! Ya they were quite long, very colourful ones too!
Very well explained as usual good angling well done.
Wonderfully colorized perches. It looked like you had a good day - even if the weather-conditions were challenging.
Thank you for watching !! It was worth getting wet for !

Great video senan, I’ve been to that spot before but never fished it. Is there any regulations or fees that you need to pay?

Do you eat them here? I live here now brought all my fishing stuff from home with me. We eat them in Canada.
Hi we mainly release them in Ireland, although I know people do eat them, I just prefer to release them. A 35-40cm perch could be 10-15 years old

They can get into massive shoals at times 👏
Best way to get worms ??
You can dig them up from the ground for free or buy them at any tackle shop 🫡 .. I bought them this time, cost me around €5 for 20 worms
@@senanstanleyfishing thanks very much 🫡
