Hey 😀 brother. I like what you're saying but it's impractical. As soon as you move your hand (or hands) down to stop me from going into the mount, you'd get about 5 or 6 elbow shots to the head. I like your theories though. If it's college or Olympic competition it would do well, because we'er not trying to kill each other. Whether one is in the guard, or in the mount (in real life,) one must protect the brain pan. One small random/lucky punch, elbow, or head butt is all it takes to let someone else end your life. Like they say in boxing "keep your hands up ! ". Stay safe brother.
I'm not highly talented in martial arts but my opinion is that this escape is more useful from a pure grappling standpoint. But also when you think about it in the context of MMA, this escape from mount is meant to be explosive and very quick, before the position is consolidated, as Marcelo demonstrates. It is also worth noting, for the opponent to step over into mount they'd need to have at least one hand on the ground, unless they want to compromise their base and so you are less at risk from punches. And even if all else fails, you're worse off trying to cover up and weather a barrage of punches from mount which will eventually get to you than you are trying to actively and explosively escape before the position is established. Again, this is my opinion. Stay Safe! ☺
O cara fica tentando ajudar, só atrapalha
Se você acha que a explicação é difícil de compreender, então você não é muito inteligente :(
It says something like" He's just trying to help, so don't be disturbed" or there about's. Haven't spoken Portuguese in for 45 years.
