Bonus points for giving us detailed instructions on removing the radiator fan. It would be easy to say it's a just matter of taking out two screws, a hose, and a wire harness, but that harness can be tricky.
Watched about six videos on replacing the Corolla starter, and this video was the best. Best explanations, but even more than that, the filming showed everything very clearly. Thank you! Did it this morning, and the car started!
Thank you so much for this video. I was able to change the starter in my car today. This was the best video I found and the one that looked the easiest.
I am extremely grateful for this video there is other videos that tell you that you have to remove the intake manifold and that's a lot of work for nothing. It is a piece of cake to remove the fan assembly like You show in this video. After I remove the two big bolts the starter was stock and I started to panic. So I grabbed a short piece of 2 X4 and with a rock and I got it out with 2 hits, I didn't have a mallet at hand 🤣. Thank you so much for this excellent video 👌👍.
Just did this job on my '07 Vibe, yup remove cooling fan assy, make sure to disconnect battery, fly at 'er!, one plug, a 13mm on your pos. starter feed, two 14mm bolts (one on the lower left, other upper right under your harness, no need for an extensions, just move it up, undo the top to almost done, take the lower one out, undo the rest of top bolt and leave it in the hole :) ) Good vid man! I have a bunch of physical issues with arthritis etc. and it still took me just over an hour. IMHO Matrix and Vibes are very good cars for what they are, foolish that their production run was ended.
Great video. I am currently working on my first car (used Pontiac G3 2010) and it's having a delayed start so I am thinking about changing the alternator and/or starter. I already changed the spark plugs but to no effect. Still a novice to car fixing and it was previously owned by a nice old lady who had no use for it. I think this will help.
One sure way to see if it's the starter is to have someone try and start the car while you rack on the starter with a hammer or tire iron. If the tries to start or does start while doing this when it otherwise wasn't starting, then it's the starter.
Thank you for your video. Nobody showed, that is better to remove the plastic cooler, only you.

Thank you make this video amigo,a mechanic wanted to charge me $250.00 to replace it. You are the man 🙏🏽
Thanks. After watching this video twice. Was able to change out the starter in 30 mins. Very clear/steady video and great instructions!

How did you know it was the starter

This video made my starter replacement a slam dunk! Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezey. Thank you! 🙏
Glad to hear you got it done!
Its not the original starter.....original starter has 13mm not 12mm nut for battery cable.
Or a Toyota Celica 2000-2005
Also a Pontiac vibe I think
this is not the right way to do it
What is the right way?
