Dave , I’ve been restoring a 1965 MGB Roadster, so my time , focus , and funds have been going there the last year , but with winter coming the slots will be back in focus, keep on doing the BEST slots news out there 👌👍❤️

I drove an MGBGT with electric overdrive in the seventies at 127 mph to overtake a porch. I was actually sweating the car was bouncing. But I overtook that porch. I loved that car. Congrats on your rebuild of an MG. They are a special car that has a historical British time stamp on. And are beautiful to drive. But not at 127 mhp

Thanx Dave. I wouldn’t mind the cardboard packaging at all. 🇨🇦

Absolut madness when there is more pladtic in the package than the product.
Seem to remember the vogue for crystal boxes started about 1972 with the Scalextric Super Formula range.
These large crystal boxes look good in store on the shelf and kerp the cars dust free at home.
I would quite happily go back to the late 60s/early 70s style of packaging that policar use .
About 40 years ago i went to a large collectors fair here in the UK, a guy had come over from Belgium, he had wuite a stock of new warehouse find Hong kong Scalextric, he had the TR4, ford Gt and Offies, both front and rear engined, they were in cardboard transit boxes as they had come from HK all those years ago, i guess Scalextric repacked them at the uk factory .

Thanks Dave, for collecting the plastic is better. I really like seeing all of the new cars every week. Thanks! I was thinking just now it would be nice to see what you have collected for yourself over the years. Some slot car host reveal their own liveries. Wish I had a generator.

The changes on the Policar F1s are not that small. 😉 It’s an entirely new body compared to the first range. These are the 2022- onwards ground effect cars.

I like the way RevoSlot does their packaging with the cardboard boxes, they are still well protected and you can stack them. But I agree, cardboard packaging makes much better sense than the plastic. It would certainly save more room in my tiny place lol. The advantage of the plastic is that it is more protective, and you can see the cars much better if you collect for display. That Fly Transit van looks great! I wouldn't mind seeing more trucks and vans in the hobby.

I hope Carrera doesn't package Evolution, and it's Digital cars in cardboard !!! My cars all are immaculately clean and brand new looking thanks to the Carrera jewel case they come in, plus they're stackable, and thus self display able in a dust free environment. I'm glad the plastic display cases last along time, because, I never throw them away.

Really cool channel and super informative!!! You make me jealous of the 1/32 stuff. I've been enjoying my carerra go track. I've expanded it, added variable power supply and better controller. Also copper taped the rails so I can run HO on it.

Dave more great news , a lot of really nice cars coming out & yes hats of to the Slot It / Policar crew for the cardboard packaging of there slot car's much more easier to recycle & hopefully they actually use recycled cardboard for there packaging not only for there slot car's by slot car tracks as well & even if Slot It slot car's came in cardboard boxes I am 100% sure that people would still buy there slot car's because they are just so good 👍👏

Thank you. For the track, this is exactly the approach that we have taken. The packaging is all made in recycled cardboard.

You guys should offer an option of cardboard or plastic display boxes , I don't buy cars without plastic display boxes , it's how I store them staxk.them and display them. All the Ferraris I've purchased came in a plastic display box , and I have all that you make in every color and livery , it's fine for the "toy" racers , but collectors want plastic display boxes . Even if a person doesn't display their cars the plastic display boxes are great for keeping spare parts in , they.can be stacked upside down so everything inside is visible at a glance , motors in one , guide flags in another , body parts in another , tires in one wheels in another , you can.even.put little bottles of model paint in them for those touch ups , they're great storage boxes .

Agree with 100% on cardboard boxes. Plastic ones are so wasteful. Policar basic car initiative is really good. Easy to tune if you want to, but provides an equal playing field unmodified.

    • @rjkoeller4444
      @rjkoeller4444 19 дней назад

The plastic display boxes are only a awful if you don't use them to display your cars , when you have close to 500 cars on display the plastic display boxes are the only way to go .

If your collecting cars cardboard would be a pain in the butt…
You can’t display a beautiful car in that. It would not do justice to the car.

I love the Fly vans , it's about time someone made something that can be modified into an ambulance , try and find a decent 1/32 scale.ambulance , they don't exist , now if only they could make a mid 60's American pickup or tow truck , again they don't exist in 1/32 scale. There's a few that claim to be 1/32 but they're way too small. Miralac showed some very cool but also very expensive Ford C-900 race car transports , one for the Ford GT40's the other for the Bud Moore 1970 Trans-Am series Mustangs , and another for the AMC Javelins , I've only seen photos so I don't know if they ever made it into production , I've fried to email them with no success at all., I want them all and don't care if they're $600 each , they also made the rally team Chevy , VW and Fiat vans and trailers with the appropriate cars , I have 4 of those sets but I want the Ford C-900's too ! There are some very nice 1/34 scale tow trucks and ambulances from First Gear but they are a tad small and are not slot cars . If I invest in expensive scenery vehicles for my miniature Raceway I what them to run ! The Fly vans are a great idea , I only.wish they could have been 1972 Econoline vans just to keep my track period correct . Anyone know if Maralic is still in business ?

Vans? The United States has created some of the greatest and most diverse racecars in the world. These continue to be ignored while vans are being tooled! Come on.

That 'blue' Policar Maserati screems 'Democrat' in every sense or meaning of the word. Equality and inclusion has always been a strong element with Policar's philosophy and yes, this is necessary for the future of this hobby whilst at entry level and I bet, and as with all these things American, it drives on the left hand side? Otherwise, and with a nod to inclusion then yes, I belive the thing is available in red too. The big take for me is that Policar can now run podded and non podded versions as options with the same body. Other manufacturers please take note.

It took almost FOUR MINUTES to get the car out of those "wondeful" environment saving boxes! The difficulty Dave has illustrates the absurdity of listening to these wacko environmentalists.
