Interesting to see the finished product and the type of cars you will run on it I like how your honest about making mistakes and showing them Marty 😎😎👍 Just remember for future builds, measure twice cut once😊 Look forward to part 2 🍻Mal
This oval will allow you to build both 1/32 & 1/24 oval cars if you so decide. Even the womp chassis provide a good starting platform for some of the dirt cars. Name it what you wish. I would suggest something bold, such as Thunderhead Speedway.
Hi brother Marty, that’s cool you’re making your own track!Wow! Cool, got a name for it- Alpha and Omega ( cars start at the beginning and finish in the end) you know what I mean.🙌😁👍🥁🎸🏎️🇺🇸
Great way to start the weekend with Two Lines Coffee Time. 😁 It look really nice Marty, great start and very well done! Thank you for taking us with you on your journey.
I tried to match my dirt track with our local speedway, it’s a dark brown. I got it as close as I could. Looks like dirt to me. 😂 Lookn’ good Marty. Your gonna have fun!
Very cool dude! We just finished up our first track build a few weeks ago. Learned a lot and also definitely had a blast. Can't wait to see you guys running on it! 🏁
I can't wait to see how this turns out. I think I told you in an email that all I have is a very small oval made of Carrera track, because I don't have room for anything larger or more complex. Royce
Cool! I remember when I made my wood track in the early 2000's! I don't know if anyone else ever did it the way I did I always see them doing it the way you did it. I made my MDF table I think is was 7x 16ft and how I routed mine was I first used a pencil and made the outside lane drew the track I likes by hand curves and all without anything at all like a big drawing. next I set up the router to follow that drawing of my track design by putting a flexible plastic down around the shape of the track I drew a certain measurement away from the track I drew so when the router rode up against the plastic wall I made following the pencil drawing the router followed it and cut the one lane out. Now for the other lanes I just put a flexible plastic that pushed into the first slot I routed and then I set the router for lane width and followed up against the plastic wall in the first slot and then got a copy for the second lane and then I did this for the rest and it worked great and I had turns and curved straights that were not just like half circles it was cool because it was a track drawing you could make any curve or crooked straight by hand and have it in your track. Sorry for the book just wanted to share how I did it.
I might have missed it if you mentioned it, but you're gonna need to brace those legs. If a caster decides not to roll smoothly when you pull or push it, it's gonna be a bad time.
Happy Saturday fellow slotterheads and Marty., oh, Gipetto, it's coming alive, and it has legs!, enough support for legs. . TWINES SPEEDWAY. CHILLO LANES!...the ring of tyre..
@@twolinesslotcarsthought possibly u were going to hinge the legs so they are foldable le to the bottom for transport.. maybe a cradle once sideways on rollers.

A great test track project there Marty. 😍🤩 How about "Transportation Research Centre"? TRC made with TLC 😁 How wide are your routed slots and how deep?
I need to talk to Jorge about getting a wood track - RTS vs home built like his Hanger 1 track or yours. What thickness MDF do you recommend (and how deep a slot did you put in?)?
I like your channel, Marty. You decide you want something, and you make it happen! You're the man!!
Thanks! It’s been a fun project.
Thank you!

New adventure, good luck Marty.
Always a new adventure lol

Thanks Chris!
Just watched your video on your wooden track. Pretty good can't wait to see it gets done. I know that it's alot of work.
it has been a great learning project!
Gday Marty , Fingers crossed mate it works out for you , awesome effort well done
Thanks, mate! I hope so too.
Great video as always Marty my name for you Oval is Chillawack Speedway.
I like it! Thanks Doug!!
Chilliwack is where I live. Doug’s name choice is close enough. The track is going to be too far away for me to visit but I approve of the name. 👍
Marty for track colors look into Cabot stains and Solids from Cabot !
I found a great asphalt color!

Tadd, your track was the one that had me thinking about it.. I just could not find the right color.. and paint is expensive.. lol
@ Yes it is. 🏁
Very cool dude! We just finished up our first track build a few weeks ago. Learned a lot and also definitely had a blast. Can't wait to see you guys running on it! 🏁
I have already learned a lot.. made some mistakes.. it should be a fun oval..

I am fortunate that I have the room!
Marty- We all make mistakes! You took care of it- and you move on. GREAT video- look forward to the next buddy!
Thanks Clint!
awesome !!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing! If I were doing a road course, I would follow your direction!

I did mention that I would add some braces..

@ I actually thought about that too.. tilt into cradle.. fold legs.. could still be done.. phase 2 lol

Looking good, What cars are you thinking about running?
I would love to grab some of the Parma Sprint Cars..
How wide and how long is the new endeavor. Getting ready to start my new one, what perfect timing.
12’x6’ or 3.65 x 1.82 meters…
Are you using braid or foil ? Looks awesome!
I am starting with copper tape.. then down the road might go to braid..
A great test track project there Marty. 😍🤩 How about "Transportation Research Centre"? TRC made with TLC 😁 How wide are your routed slots and how deep?
Darren, my lane spacing is 4.5”. The a lot depth is 8mm.. and I am using a 1/8” router bit for slots.. thanks!
At last! The journey has begun! 😁👍
@@twolinesslotcars Good to know 😀

I need to talk to Jorge about getting a wood track - RTS vs home built like his Hanger 1 track or yours. What thickness MDF do you recommend (and how deep a slot did you put in?)?
1/2" MDF and the slot depth is 8mm.
Will you be running 1/24 scales on it?
Yes!
Marty- how thick of MDF you using?
1/2” MDF
Ohi O-Ring

cool Marty, how about a brand name from your area, that hometown feel.
Thanks Chris! Good thought..
Don't care ,just show us in time lap how its made
