The reason they’re missing teeth because at some point CEC had some locations test out toothless Chuck costumes to see which would be a best fit and ofc toothless Chuck lost
25:20 really saddened me. Virginia being my home town, CEC being part of my childhood, and the animatronics removed on my birthday of all days. F for chuck, and good video Nathan!
Special thanks to Cyberstar Entertainment for providing some photos, videos, and information!!! I forgot to mention them in the credits EDIT: I accidentally misspelled Kamani’s name in the credits. I do apologize about that it was not intentional I blame autocorrect
I had worked the Chesapeake location for 2 years between 2016-2018 before going off on my current career. It was a great job to have as a 16 year old working the front gate and prize counter. Used to wear the costume and dance and everything. The only key note that maybe should have been mentioned was just how long we had tokens. Even in 2016 almost every location had the card and point system thats used now. I still have tons of tickets and tokens in my closet as a memento. Truly good times.
Thank you a lot for doing a video on the Chesapeake locations, as it was such an honor for you to do this video for the two locations I grew up going to (especially the Sam’s Circle location) I swear being at the other location has to be my earliest memory EVER, being very little. But this video and all the photos in it take me back!
I actually used to come to the Sam's Circle location (I was a local at the time, still within driving distance nowadays) as a kid (i distinctly remember it being Phase 3 because of the record posters and showroom walls) and i even worked at this location from 2020 - 2022 as a gameroom attendant (I'm so glad I can confirm I'm not insane and didn't gaslight myself into thinking the showroom walls didn't exist, place felt more bare than i remembered from childhood but I couldn't fully confirm this by myself), though sometimes I would help the technician with the stage too. It's a shame that they finished their 2.0 remodel as of a couple weeks ago, I'll miss the bots! I loved that Pasqually had a PTT drumhead! Edit: I'm not sure if the PTT Chuck Trolley Car actually was at this location when it opened, but i can confirm it was there for much longer than the 2010s. It was there when i worked there and they actually got rid of it just last year. Sadly though, the way i found out was shortly after i left working there but went to visit that fall, i saw it next to the dumpster with white paint sprayed all over it to basically render it worthless to anyone that thought about taking it.
Peek Trail location was my childhood. I never experienced the 2 stage, just the screen stage with single Chuck. but i remember the play area like the back of my hand, the preschool area, all of the rides and climbing in the jungle gym. also the bike that went up and down when you pedaled on it. so many good memories:) thanks for making this video!
this summed up my thoughts exactly. it's such an out of left field topic that hits so close to home for me and my childhood. never thought i'd see a video of a place i spent my time at as a kid.
this was not a video i ever could have imagined being made, but i'm so glad it was. this was such a surreal experience to watch and learn about a place i only saw through my eyes as a kid. i went into peak trail about a year ago for a birthday party, and it broke my heart. i'm glad this video helped me reconnect with a piece of myself i haven't thought about in such a long time.
I was not expecting a CEC video on my city! Good stuff. I still remember the Western Branch location before the CEC 2.0 redesign. One of my funniest memories was watching two kids climb on stage as Chuck E. and Helen were left out 😂 Edit: I guess I remembered wrong. I could've sworn it was a one stage, but I guess it was a Studio C all along.
Peak Trail was the CEC I went to as a kid. I remember going for all sorts of things. My parents even took me there when I was older when Fnaf at peak popularity. Good times
I don't know if you take suggestions, but if you do i'd love it if you could do a "history of" of the chuck e cheese in ocala florida, or maybe tampa florida! The ocala one was the one i went to growing up, and the one i always wanted to visit the tampa location but never got the chance to. I love these "history of" videos by the way! They're really cool.
These locations were pretty interesting back in their old days. It's a shame that more locations are in the process of being converted to 2.0 remodel stores. The location near me (Edison, NJ) is currently a 2.0 remodelled store. I haven't been there in a long time but the last time I went, it used to have the sky-tubes. I'm not sure if that Buzzy Buzzy Bee game was in the store. In regards to the animatronic stage, it was just a 1-Stage with the cyberamic animatronics tucked in the back right corner of the store (from the entrance). Prior to the 2.0 remodel the exterior had the Avenger Chuck thumbs up logo above the doorway. The 2.0 remodel's exterior had that poorly made MS paint Chuck E logo. The interior removed the 1-Stage in favor of a dance floor, but the Live Stage that the location obtained wasn't in the same spot as the 1-Stage once was; the "show room" was repositioned to the left-most wall, and the space where the 1-Stage was now had the games in its place. The Live Stage had a big TV on the wall alongside all the character posters, though Pasqually's poster wasn't facing the same way as the other posters did. The order of the posters were Pasqually, Jasper, Chuck E, Helen, and Munch. In short, the outside looks good to me, but inside, not so much. Unrelated to what I've recalled from the above, the Northridge California location has the 2.0 remodel in progress with the addition of the Chuck E Live Stage where the showroom is but they are keeping their 2-Stage alongside the cyberamic animatronics.
Ooo,I remember going to this location a few times!Although I visited the Virginia Beach location more (which, sadly, was remodeled and the animatronics were destroyed :’}),I remember some the arcades, like the Fruit Ninja,Sonic Spinner and I think the Chuck air hockey table?Anyway, thanks for making this video,I cheered up a bit after finding out that the VB animatronics were destroyed
I had so many good memories at the Peek Trail location, went there alot as a young pup! I haven't been there in atleast 12 years. It kills me that they gutted Studio C and the Chuck E. animatronic. That's what I loved the most, seeing the shows on the big TVs (at the time) and seeing an animatronic for the first time really fascinated me! RIP Studio C...
Video Request: The History of the CEC in Northridge, California. It is very historic and interesting! I've been there before, trust me, you will be very surprised about what they decided to do!
Can you do a history on the Chuck E. Cheese on Jacksonville Florida please thanks I used to go there and they had the studio C alpha and sadly replaced with the dance floor :(
Nathan could you do a video on either the Frederick MD, Hagerstown MD, Or the Winchester location because they are my childhood cecs that i would go to, and i love those locations
You should cover the Worcester location, if possible. I remember it had the buzzy-buzzy bee game, but it looked different than the one shown in the video. Stayed for a while, but sadly not there anymore
Woah! I opened this store as arcade assistant Technician manager. If you want any inside info, I got you. I'm still friend with the managers. Some of which I worked with in Va Beach location when it was Billy Bobs, which I reskinned the animatronics. I started there in 94 in va beach.
I've lived in VA all my life. I was raised in the Eastern Shore. I'm 34 years old and I've only known the one by Kilitary Malll. So, how did this get requested so much? I need reasons. My sister and her family would go to that one because they lived in VA Beach. I believe one in Norfolk was something else before CEC, brought the location. I remember flipping into the ball pit, mimicking Tommy from first the Power Rangers movie. I live in Newport News now. In 2010, I met a kid who had never been to CEC. He was around 20 at the time and came from a military family.
As someone who lives in the area and has been to both locations I can confirm that they are both cool
crazy cuz the sams circle was my childhood chuck e. cheese, i never thought i’d se a lore breakdown on the local arcade😭
I heard that!
It is frickin surreal seeing a video pop up on my recommended about the Chuck E. Cheese that I grew up near. Chills.
for real dude, I live near Chesapeake and the last time I went there, it was a little... Dissapointing.
actually the fear that flowed through my veins when i saw this video was astronomical
it was such a jumpscare
Same.
My cousin and I met up in Chesapeake one time, so this was very interesting to see too.
As a local resident of the 757 area I did not expect to see video essays about the Chuck E Cheese’s in my area.
you know someone isn't from VA when they pronounce norfolk like "nar-falk"😂 this was really cool though !!
im not from VA but i live here and i say nor-folk (i actually live right next to norfolk, but not in chesapeake.. yes i live in "that" city :()
i was thinking the same!!! i always say it more like “nor-fuk” i think like most ppl hahah
@@alyssarasmussen1723ptownnnnn haha 😊 hi as your neighbor from norfolk
@@sunday.mourning hi neighbor i like ur city :D
I feel like nuh-fick rolls off the tongue better.
I think that we should email them to tell them to bring back the animatronics and if they say no we will boycott them

Its because the costume simply broke lmfao
@@SlushysSecret literally lol
The Jasper animatronic looks new. And one more thing I saw a rare image of a cyber Jasper and Munch on a 3 stage.
Ngl I Kinda Pefor That Jasper Animatronic
Exactly true my guy :)@@Brycam

I'm honestly just surprised to find a video about my home town.
This reminds me: I saw that the CEC closest to where I live has gone through the 2.0 phase, which I'm not too happy about.

Unfortunately there's not much info of that or the Northside Chicago location, or The PTT on Foster
