- This is episode 5 of my popular “History Of” series season 3!
For episode 5, i’m doing a character that has been highly requested for the series for an extremely long time. A character that I was kind of hesitant to do a video on just because they don’t have much history. That character being Monkey Joe from the Monkey Joe’s family entertainment center. Featuring special guest Bonzi buddy!!!

I remember being here for a childhood friends birthday as a toddler, and when it was time to celebrate her birthday, the mascot walked in the room, and I immediately hid under the table until he left, and I was maybe crying too when he came in

Also, that Joe could actually be from Jump'N'Joes. That could actually be his original design if he was in the very beginning.
12:03 Props to Monkey Joe’s for not requiring parents to pay for themselves to enter and instead only for the admission of their kid(s). More kiddie amusement places should do that
One time I was at monkey joes, and both mascots came out. Everyone ran over to them, and no else was playing. So, I ran and climbed like a 30ft tall ladder to the highest place I could be and hid out and watched from above.
Btw how is legal to let kids climb so high?

OMG, I remember going to this place. But when I went there wasn't any arcade machines, just inflatable slides and bouncy castle's and such. I'm guessing they added that afterwards.

I remember going to Monkey Joe's a few times (there was one where that Dinorex indoor amusement park used to be at (I also remember going to Dinorex) in Crystal Lake, next to that Hobby Lobby

Monkey joes should have been created in 1932 so it could have more of a history And it should be a 22 thousand square feet tall building with 4 floors a arcade/indoor Amusement park/indoor water park Of course keep their bouncy houses and add a trampoline park as well and other things and the place should be jungle themed so the place is decorated with Trees and other things at a jungle The place should also have a Rock afire explosion animatronic retrofit some locations have the studio Joe stage with just monkey joe”s by himself on a stage And the mascot should have different outfits and looks over years In the back of the building they should have a outdoor Amusement park like Celebration station and Bullwinkles restaurant and the place should have a large drive through
If I were to improve Joe’s costume design, I would have his mouth still open but with his teeth only shown, and his eyes not so far apart, so he wouldn’t be looking creepy (at least in my opinion), and make him look more like his cartoon design. I would also fix his hair style. I would make his fur and skin more indigo-ish, and make his fur less fluffy.

I remember my 7th birthday party there at the Camp Hill Pennsylvania location but it during the 2010's yet I still remember the old costume.
I used to go here! I barley ever saw the mascot, at the location that i used to go to he only came out on some days, im pretty sure only weekends

Ooh! I have some vague memories of going to Monkey Joe's when I was younger. A now-closed location apparently existed in Madison, TN, so that's probably where I went. Can't recall if I was there for my birthday or for someone else's. I might've hid in the bathroom whenever Monkey Joe made an appearance.. Sorry Joe. I was scared of all mascots at the time, but also had a fear of balloons. I recall being in one of the private party rooms trying to sit as far away from the balloons as possible- Or that might've been some other party place.
Anyways, loved the video! I'm not particularly invested in mascot costumes or CEC [I'm just a Rock-afire Explosion fan] but I find your videos very thorough and interesting.
