There should just be a realisim mode in rdr2 where about 3 or 2 shots on your chest and 4 shots on your arms and legs and 1 shot on your head is enough and your leg being shot will decrease your speed and waste more stamina trying to sprint

I subscribed because so many of your videos are hilariously ridiculous-I enjoy the hijinks that follow from the silly constraints you put on yourself in your various challenges! But this one here is just plain impressive. Really fine gameplay! 👏
I really respect this video. I have played a lotta difficult games. I absolutely love RDR2, probably my favorite game of all time; HOWEVER, it could be a lot harder. It is through and through a narrative experience, and I do think that making it as easy as it is was actually a design choice. Arthur is supposed to be really good at killing folks. Does that make for reflective story and put the "Redemption" in Red Dead Redemption 2? Absolutely. Does it feel a little to easy? Again, absolutely. For me, it's a decent balance just because of how fantastic the game is as a whole, but I totally see how for many others it may nto.
John:. Im going to kill Micah Abigail: Shit John. Okay, but be careful and bring ammo. John: I cannot, ma'am. Im gonna complete this en hard difficulty.
On PC you can make the game so much realistic with mods, it's really fun... Ragdoll when shot in certain body-parts, bleeding, higher damage, changing NPCs accuracy, more basic needs, etc
@@uncolored2060 it's where if you go to aim the crosshair it dosent automatically lock on to the target you have to manually aim your crosshairs at the target
Also the mission with Sadie in the epilogue to catch James Langton because if u choose to sneak when u throw a knife at one of the first enemies Sadie doesn’t shoot the other
Red Dead 2’s difficulty is the difference between drinking through a straw and trying to waterfall with the cup completely upside down. You’re either completely in-control of a confrontation, or totally unprepared and immediately overwhelmed. I never found myself dying in gunfights for the campaign, but when I’d get into unprecedented altercations in the open world, I often wouldn’t expect it and would be gunned down faster than I could even process what was happening. I prefer the ladder, but in this sense neither are fulfilling since they are such contrasting game designs that feel very different, maybe that’s something that works for some people but for me it kinda showed how unless you were following Rockstars very constrained linear path during the campaign, literally anything could happen in the free roam
I did something similar, with all my combat missions I made sure my aim was almost 100 percent of the time a head shot , and I didn’t allow myself to be critically shot. If I missed a headshot or was shot somewhere where someone couldn’t survive like the face, I would restart the whole mission. 1. Headshots only (unless it felt Cinamatic to not do so) 2. No fatal gunshots 3. I also did No Deadeye for any combat, including quick draws with up to 3+ people. You’d be surprised how hard the game can get not allowing yourself to get shot, and really only hitting headshots without taking serious damage
A lot of the missions can be gold medaled on first try if you realize that you have to always get headshots to get constant kills with the 70/85% accuracy and to always avoid health cures. Dead eye provisions work though.
The hardest thing about guarma is getting to the missions mate honestly It took like 30 minutes to even get to Dutch because the map kept going red and 100 Spanish guys showed up every minute
Funny thing is that RDR2 had some kind of "hard mode" back in 2018 when they gave you the shittiest items, horse and stats while replaying missions. Gettin' the 70 Gold-Medal trophy back then was a fuckin' pain in the ass, they updated it in 2019 If I'm not mistaken
Difficulty ideas Red not so dead redemption: health items and ammo are abundant, enemies are weaker and you are much harder to kill Easy: you have more health and ammo is plentiful, enemies are slightly less abundant Normal: the game how it is now Hard: you have less health with less health items being found, crafting recipes are generally more costly and money is a bit tighter Realism: any head shot is an instant death and your health is significantly lowered with it regenerating much slower. More enemies spawn which are tougher to kill and less ammo is found. Special health cures are completely absent and other cures are very rare Even just a simple easy normal and hard would be nice but no rockstar is incapable up adding ANY UPDATE at all besides online
For the amount of realism red dead has, I think the damage should be more realistic, mostly for the player, but NPCs can still run around and shoot you after getting shot in the stomach
@@fultonwallaceman People in real life have taken several gut shots and didn't notice. It's not unheard of. Usually a rifle shot will stagger an NPC. It's just handgun rounds they can take and still keep fighting if I remember correctly. Haven't played the game in a while though. Of course if the combat system isn't to your liking there are lots of realism mods you can install if you're a PC player. I definitely agree that Arthur/John take way too much damage before dying though. No arguments there. But again, there are mods for that if you're a PC player. Life is pretty good over here in the PC world. Just saying.
I felt ur pain getting gold medals on these missions was hard enough, but adding the restrictions that you added was impossible. I feel so bad and still don’t know how you did it
I know this video is old but if you ever do a follow up video you should count all the trees outside the playable map, there's probably more there than in the map
If Arthur was made to have a realistic health bar and can only take 2 shots (supposing the first shot is non-fatal), an average Arthur playthrough would probably last 30 mins at most, ignoring the cutscenes. It's so hard not to get shot in the west...
they should have a hard mode that they don't allow you to use checkpoints or restart missions back in the day (gta) we had to drive all the way back to the mission and start from the beginning. and we had to buy all our weapons again. the controls were much much harder to use
No dead eye, for sure... Free aim, yup I get that.... Low health, no doubt, you can tank way too many shots in this game... But no ammo? I don't understand maybe something reasonable like 36 bullets or maybe you can't pick up bullets would be more reasonable as in a gun fight you aren't going to be able to just walk over bullets and acquire them... Spot on though definitely a problem with the game, I have done a free aim speed run and a no dead eye speed run but I was not able to do no dead eye and free aim the game was just too fucking irritating
I remember starting rdr2 online and shot away so much ammo that it got really hard to like earn money so I had to kill random npc and risk myself to get wanted and get my bouncy value even higher but now I am way beyond that 😅
man i used ped damage overhaul in my playthrough and i could only go through like 2 shots before dying, even dead eye was impossible to use because they would just headshot me while i was in it
Nice, like halfway through my first playthrough I turned off all forms of aim assist and the reticle (on controller) this made the gunfights much more fun
