Thank you for showing us your ideas and work. A plank of wood of 25x50x300mm, a square metal rod of 15x15x400mm, a few strips of sandpaper of 15x120+mm (240 and 1000), a few centimeters of masking tape, a thick book, a quick release clamp and a C-clamp is all I use to sharpen a knife. I attach the sandpaper strips to the opposing faces of one end of the metal rod with some masking tape. I place the wood plank on the table and secure it with the quick release clamp leaving about 10cm of overhang. I place the knife on the overhanging end of the plank, perpendicular to it and with the cutting edge pointing out and secure it with the C-clamp. I place the thick book on the plank and rest the metal rod on the book and on the knife's cutting edge. I move the book closer or further from the knife to get the angle I want. I slide the metal rod with the sandpaper end on the knife to do the sharpening while my over engineered 3D models of knife sharpening devices rest in my PC.
hello really nice video I would like to replicate your project could you tell me the measurements of the piece of wood where you practiced the fore? at what distance are the holes made from each other? thanks and congratulations again for the video
this is the most simple and cheap sharpening jig i ever seen i am going to copy this, thanks

That's pretty darn interesting. Might have to try this one.
I am glad... Watch your fingers 😉
Good design !
For me 600/1000/2000/Laether with paste 😊
Very good
Good idea
Thank you 🙂
Great video thanks for sharing! Also music intro was amazing, was that something you came up with or did you find it somewhere?

Why do you have so many extra holes on the vertical part?
that you can choose which angle you need 🙂
Grande pero tendrías que dar las medidas
You should have used doble-face tape when you stick the ssnding paper instead of the adherent liquid
Those are squishy somewhat and cause sandpaper under pressure bend and rub over the edge of the blade and dull it.
Add a usb microscope to check for missed spots
great idea, thank you 🙂
Ok. You showed us putting varnish on the wood but cut out installing the blade holder!? WTF?
маловато будет
