Or David Porter's version of "The Masquerade Is Over"...a soul tour de force unlike any version before it. Again, staying true to the original is good and I can still dig it (like Tisha and Tichina's version of this song which is nearly as good as the original), but I'm impressed when an artist turns the song completely on its ear and makes me love it in a whole other way. (Of course this can backfire and make me go "what the f*** is this ish?!")

@aylix89, Well, Tisha did release an album back in the early 90s that didn't sell well. In a market saturated with music artists, acting was the smarter thing then, especially on such a successful show as Martin was. Royalties coming from syndicated shows STILL playing today are very lucrative.
