Let me lay this straight. Dwain is the ONLY athlete ever to have genuinely held his hands up and to have taken full accountability for his crime. Every international sprinter knows that the steroid decision always comes in your career. 'Should I, shouldn't I' is always on your mind, and if you end up mixing with the wrong crew, when your self-belief is low then chances are you may succumb to the temptation. I raced Dwain many years ago. He's a good guy, and I'm proud he's a Brit.

Couldn't agree more. Especially in a sport when I find it hard to believe that anyone hasn't cheated. (How can you beat someone on steroids really unless you are on then yourself)

Well I wouldn't say he just held his hands up. Balco was exposed so he had to talk because anyone associated would've been exposed. I do respect him though, he was a naturally talented athlete

They are all on steroids.. I recently wrote my university thesis on this subject.
What people don't realise is that WADA allow 4 times the normal amount of testosterone when drug testing because thats what is genetically possible. So, as an athlete...if you happened to have just the normal amount, what reason could you possibly have for NOT quadrupling your testosterone. Using undetectable steroids that same athlete could seriously improve his performance without ever testing 'positive'.

Rugby, athletics, NFL, UFC, boxing any sport revolving around power. He knows because it's part and parcel of professional sport, its a given your on something. About 15 years ago I played rugby for my local academy. The first team were only semi professional and every single player bar none took something. They were all very open about it and encouraged us to start taking steroids at 15/16 years of age. If this is what happens at a semi pro level what do you think happens at the elite end???

I can recall Chambers coming through the ranks and being a junior to people like Linford Christie and the great John Regis. What a great interview and you can see why so many people like him. I always felt it was a shame that others in his periods did not own up to be cheats - especially Linford Christie who still says he is innocent when we all know he was the biggest cheat the nation has ever had. I know 100% he cheated because I know his source and I use to see him hang about Kensington with Shadow, Michael King, (an ex TV Gladiators who is a nasty evil man and convicted druggie and criminal - I think he is still in jail today). When you spoke to either of them you could see from their eyes they were both on the juice. I was so please Seb Coe did not allow Christie to have anything to do with the London Olympics. As for Dwain, I just saw him run in the 2024 UK indoor championships, I wish him and his family well - A very good guy who made a bad a bad choice but stood up like a man and took the punishment.
