So many "things" to watch besides the arc, the GWB narration and the video is perfect as always.

ITS ALWAYS A LITTLE FRUSTRATING TO ME TO TRY AND TEACH ANYTHING ON SOCIAL MEDIA , BECAUSE OF THE TIME CONSTRAINTS PER VIDEO. THATS WHY I DECIDED TO DO THINGS IN A PARTS FORMAT. DEPENDING ON THE DEMAND FOR SUCH TEACHING, I WOULD LIKE TO PUT OUT A WELD TRAINING SERIES OR PACKAGE THAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO MAKE TRAINING VIDEOS THAT ARE ABOUT 30 MIN EACH . I BELIEVE THAT WOULD BE THE BEST FORMAT FOR ANY ONE THAT IS SERIOUS ABOUT LEARNING TO WELD FROM HOME IN WHAT IVE NAMED MY " HYBRID WELD TRAINING SYSTEM" NOT TO SHORT AND NOT SO LONG IN ONE SITTING AS TO BE WEARING WITHOUT A BREAK. THANK YOU MARK!

Better way to say what I tried to convey is Anyone could watch this video over and over so many times just to focus on one or two things such as how to be a helper how to pass rods check wedges etc etc etc and get so many different learning points or better ways for the experienced. As the Ol' saying goes its Your Story (welding) tell it any way You Want, KEEP TELL IT LIKE IT IS GWB ! 100%.@@GeraldWBrister

You remind me of my Uncle D'wayne Hilton who taught me the exact same way he's in his early 80,s now and could still hire out and wear some broncs out still today.

Just a tip, said with all due respect; helper should have his hand on the box, not reaching over and delaying your need.
His right hand on the knob, his left hand can hold rods, tools /a smoke,
    Great videos.

Most underated thing you said was the rubber necking. Between that and duck walk. Its amazing how much faster you are. Especially on 6in or light 8in. You can weld top to bottom one rod every one else is putting a spare tire on and your on the other side.

IM VERY IMPRESSED THAT YOU REALIZE THE VALUE OF THAT SMALL PIECE OF ADVISE. I WILL BE EXPANDING MY TEACHING ON "RUBBER NECKING" AND ALL THE OTHER TECHNIQUES THAT WILL MAKE YOU MUCH FASTER, WITHOUT HAVING TO LOOK LIKE SOMEONE RUNNING AND STUMBLING, AND HAVING A NERVOUS BREAK DOWN TO KEEP UP ! I THOUGHT IT OUT ONCE AND PUT DOWN ON PAPER THE THINGS I WAS TAUGHT AND THE THINGS I BELIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT SHOWED ME. I BELIEVE IF YOU USE ALL THE TIPS, YOU CAN BE 25 TO 30 PERCENT FASTER , WITHOUT THE STRESS OF TRYING TO BE FASTER . THANK YOU SHARING THAT GOOD ADVICE WITH THE WELD FAMILY! THANK YOU BERRY!

What type of welding sleeve are you using and where can I buy one?

    • @GeraldWBrister
      @GeraldWBrister  4 месяца назад

Just about any welding supply will carry them. I just googled “ GREEN WELDING SLEEVES” and several brands came up.
They come in different lengths, usually 18” and 23 “ in 9oz , 12 oz etc.
      I prefer the 18” length . And cost about $ 6.00 to 20.00 a pair.
Revco makes the black stallion brand,
Tillman makes different lengths and weights as well.
      Thank you Gary

I have worn the LAPCO ( Louisiana arm pad co) kakhi shirts for about 30 years, The 9.5 oz starch up better than the lighter ones.
I don’t know who owns them now?
It was started by 2 welders from Morgan city , Louisiana . Started with selling arm pads and moved into other clothing and Accessaries !
