Larry Coryell (1943 - 2017): A Trailblazer in Jazz, Country, and Rock Fusion.
Larry Coryell, alongside Gábor Szabó, was a pioneering force in blending jazz, country, and rock music. Beyond his groundbreaking musical contributions, Coryell was also a dedicated music educator and a prolific writer, contributing a monthly column to Guitar Player magazine from 1977 to 1989.
This recording, commissioned by Guitar Player magazine in 1977, remains a cherished piece in my collection nearly 50 years later. Enjoy this timeless masterpiece from one of the true legends of music.
