Thanks! This helped lay out the differences better than on Mazda's website. I decided on the preferred trim beause the extras on the premium are not worth the price for how I intend to use this vehicle. Preferred hits a better cost/effectiveness point for me.
I believe my 2024 Mazda CX5 Preferred does have daytime running lights. When I drive in daytime, with the headlights switch to OFF position, there is still white light coming out from the headlights.
I know the preferred and possibly even the select trim has the standard 10" infotainment screen that's controlled by the knob/buttons located in the middle console area by the arm rest, the screen isn't touch screen like it would be in the highest costing model/s cx-5 and must be used with that knob/button's, but what most probably don't know is when you plug your phone into the cars usb and select Android auto or whatever it's called, the screen automatically becomes a touch screen and it also has voice recognition and listens to and follows commands, it work's just like or may actually just be the google assistant which are used on android phones that are operated by voice commands after saying "ok google" but yeah not sure if many people know that fact or not. I was surprised because the vehicle has the navigation console buttons in the middle as I mention earlier to do simple things on the screen like settings, connectivity options, communication, information, ect and can answer/end calls with those and navigate the screen while also having optional buttons on the steering wheel that can raise/lower volume, end/answer calls, ect without having to look at the screen and pressing on it as you would have to do if you decided to go with the highest trim since Mazda gave those a fully touch screen and removed the middle knob/buttons I believe, they still have the buttons on the steering wheel though but that's only for certain things and not used for actually navigating the screen or choosing settings, ect. which kind of sucks since you aren't able to use the screen with eyes always on the road and have to look and press on the actual screen if using it while driving but the knob/buttons gives you option of remembering the screen layout and using one hand to navigate the screen without having to ever take your eyes off the road, not to mention having to reach towards the screen to click whatever option you want to activate or settings you want to change while driving seems kinda reckless and more restrictive then have multiple options that the lower trim non touch screen has the ability to do, also it's only non touch screen for the main screen but for android Auto and phone screen mirroring or phone Bluetooth the touch screen activates as mentioned again, anyways just my experience and thoughts on the subject.
Have had the 2019 X3. I’d take the 2024 X3 over the 2024 X1. I like the buttons and controls. Expect the 2025 X3 will be updated screen design as the X1. Also told by BMW that their 2025 X3 will grow larger than the 2024 X3.
I can't see where either one of them are considered Sports, you're really going to take this car out of the trails. Build a real good road car quit trying to make it touch so many bases with all these different options add Mazda trying to make a bundle out of everything, put a price on your options and let the customers decide what they want. They all go down the same line just different parts go into the custom-built car are added to the chassis when it goes by. Build sheets !!!!
That's one reason why I bought mazda, my first car was a mazda3 I recently traded it in for a mazda cx5 preferred
Nice!
Thanks for letting us know the difference from the beginning.
No problem!

Thanks for letting us know. Glad we were able to help, here at Vagabond Builds with James and Sandu :)

Yes that is. Interesting. Where are you located?
@@VagabondBuilds I live in Northern Virginia.
excellent video, really helps.
Now I'm more ambivalent then before!
Is the $3500 extra worth it?!
I am a bell and whistle type of guy.. I like my convenience and comfort…
Great comparison video! Thx 👍
No problem! Glad we can help!
Do either come with wireless android auto?
No.
Yes
The Carbon Edition does.
All do

Why are the lights on the Left hand vehicle flashing or strobing ??
Странно что есть люди не понимающие как работают камеры снимающие этот ролик
It's just a visual effect from the camera unfortunately. They don't flash in reality.
Thanks for watching.

So bmw over the Mazda?
The premium is nice for the wheel and bose. I dont think it's worth the price difference.

Interesting perspective….
All have daytime running lights, it’s the law.
Really? Where is that law implicated?
I bought a CX5 Preferred today. No running lights, unfortunately.
@@VagabondBuilds they are required is some countries, the U.S isn’t one. I was thinking of the 3rd brake light when I commented.
Do they make a way for you to speak properly? Button. There’s a few letter T’s in there.
Haha haha sorry! Hopefully the video was helpful!
Rude!!!
Great review. Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
