It’s a pity that we didn’t get these winged horses in the first Narnia film. In this book called The Crafting of Narnia, there’s concept art for pegasi/flying horses with one drawing looking almost exactly like this one piece of art for the Pegasus from either 3rd or 3.5 edition of Dungeons and Dragons, and all the concept art for the Narnian pegasi are colored chestnut resembling Pauline Baynes’ illustrations for the character Strwberry/Fledge from The Magicians Nephew!
I honestly only watched the Black Pegasus scenes. I don't even know what the movie was really about. I wish there were more films with Black Pegasi in them.
@@brisierracrane1811 Then watch Jumanji The Next Level, there is a black pegasus as one of the main characters. It's wings are made of skin instead of feathers.
Yes, the original film took a lot of artistic liberties, such as Perseus riding Pegasus instead of borrowing the sandals of Hermes and the helmet of Hades, and changing Cetus' name to Kraken
Blackjack the Pegasus from Percy Jackson and the olympians? Good news about Percy Jackson and the author Rick Riordan; I hear that he’s rebooting the series as a live action television series based on his work at Disney after they acquired 20th century fox!
Why did they change the mythology? Pegasus was suposed to be coming out from the neck of Medusa after Perseus cut her to death. And there's only one winged horse.
I think It's adapted to fit germanic-Celtic lore where creatures are like species, in Greek mythology most creatures were single personalities like you said.
@@sibuna4life617 I don't know about Theseus but according to the myh, Io was one of the (many) Zeus's wifes, and to avoid the wrath of Hera, he turned her into a white cow
I don't think so, the largest flying creatures ever were pterosaurs, and despite being as big as a small airplane, they had a similar weight to humans.
If Warner Bros. made this movie, which is "Wrath of the Titans"; why is there a Pegasus? This isn't a Tri-Star Pictures movie, and the Pegasus is not supposed to be black! It's a movie made by Warner Bros., and said winged horse is ordinarily white.
Late to reply to this but in the original Pegasus was real in some scenes when they had to show him up close and then the Ray Haryhausen effect in other shots. This Pegasus is hard to really tell at times when it's CGI or real because they basically used a Fresian breed as the model for this gorgeous stallion.
While personally I think they may have ripped Percy Jackson off, I liked Pegasus in these movies. One the horse is a beutiful animal in it of itself, but also, they gave this Pegasus a lot of character in its movments. You see it a lot in Wrath. Sure I would have liked to have scene more of it, but it’s not as bad as what others say.
Norse and I do know. Pegasus doesn’t need to be white, unless your doing the proper origin story and even then that’s more for the myth buffs. But considering there is no Chyrasor and Medusa does not birth Pegasus, doesn’t matter.
Turning Pegasus into a huge black stallion watching over a herd of mares really adds more to his character.
He’s the Alpha Male Herd Leader and they are his harem.
White mares would never have a black stallion anywhere near them. They're too stupid to provide or raise colts and fillies.
@@TiddlyBlinx Greek mythology dude, fictional horses, fictional accuracy.

This pegasus is better than the classic white horse
Having a black Pegasus was the only good thing in this 2010 remake.
Should i watch the movie ? The black pegasus is gorgeous
The Black Pegasus was honestly the best part of the film. The rest is pretty boring. There's some cool visuals but the story is pretty bland.

At least that pegasus didn't get suffered by head shaking syndrome.
The White Pegasus reminds me so much of Sony Pictures TriStar Pictures logo featuring the pegasus itself.
Stunning!!! Good job 👏👏👏💯💯💯!!!
pegasus mother is medusa so this is a error of the movies, pegasus born after the death of medusa, when perseo kill medusa, she was pregnan.
