CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Zeus (Liam Neeson), Perseus (Sam Worthington), and Hades (Ralph Fiennes) use their power and might to defeat the volcanic monster Kronos.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The epic battle between the Titans and the gods continues in this sequel set ten years after the events in Clash of the Titans, as Perseus (Sam Worthington) descends into the underworld on a mission to rescue Zeus from the clutches of Hades (Ralph Fiennes), Ares (Edgar Ramirez), and Kronos. In the wake of his decisive victory against the Kraken, Perseus has retreated to a remote fishing village to raise his young son, Helius. Meanwhile, humanity has lost faith in the gods. As a result, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon find their power beginning to slip, a development that could spell disaster for all of humankind should their imprisoned father, Kronos, manage to break free from his underworld prison in Tartarus. When Perseus learns that Zeus' son Ares has teamed with Hades and Kronos to capture Zeus, steal his power, and create hell on earth, the time comes to take action. The lightning effects of Zeus 1:02 onwards are the best I've ever seen in any movie. Doesn't look generic. I wish MCU or DCEU did lightning like that for Thor, Ares or Zeus
I also love Hades' black smoke power. Looks cool to me.. Imagine if Poseidon was also there fighting together. It would've been freakin' epic‼️ 🤯
@@marishkagranada7985 yeah. Hades's effects were amazing, particularly in the beginning of the movie when he confronts Perseus for the first time in the throne room. Cronos vs his three sons would've been epic

One thing I will admit, is that Kronos himself looks f**king badass.
Why does Kronos look like some weird lava monster? I thought the Titans just looked like people (big obviously much bigger) similarly to the Gods (Zeus, Athena etc.)

If there's one thing this movie's worth noting... it's the CGI.
Especially that last shot of the explosion.
And they specially put the budget of CGI to kronos, considering how shitty the minotaur looked for instance.
@@Zerath0 its alot easier to annimated something to look realistic when it is made of a substance that emits light and is rock,its much harder to make cgi look good if you animating skin and organic textures in a moody forest, also, he is covered largely in smoke, so you can cover up alot with it, alot of skin detail can be covered by moving smoke animation and textures

Kronos is not mentioned enough in conversations of the greatest CGI characters of all time. He is up there with Davy Jones, Caesar and Smaug.
When I think of CGI characters that deserve praise, it must be an actual character.
Someone who is expressive, fully interactive with other characters, and has their own goals, motivations, and personality.
This Kronos isn't that. He's just a Kaiju of rock and magma who is written as very static and flat.
Man, it would be so badass if Kratos was here.

For a good reason, for movies about Gods and Titans, they both lack the atmosphere and content that really shows how they waged war or fought. In other words, they were too conservative, they should have gone wild.
This is literally a boss fight. Zeus and Hades (the tanks), stun the boss while Perseus (glass canon damage dealer) gets into position to hit him with his Ult that's a 1-shot execute when done to enemies with status effects.

That's why they are so weak not because they dont have their full power on earth. Olympus is also on earth, just high up in the sky
I like how, even before the Greek classical age, there were ancient Greek ruins.
There was the Mycenaean empire of the bronze age wich was in Greece 1000 years before Alexander the Great . So yeah, it totally makes sense.

The vfx in general from this movie was solid. And it was entertaining, it definitely has its flaws but all in all not unwatchable. I hope the revive the greek mythology kind of movies with a indent story and great cinematography

0:11 You can clearly see it starts with the line of in camera explosions that move up as the CG lava falls on the first parts of the in camera explosion. A quick shot but works really well and looks really nice. Tbf this film does have a nice CG moments in it that are really well done

Amazing cinematography the camera doesnt shy away from the beast bc that would mean more work for the animators instead it continously allows u to see it from multiple angles not only that the camera stays on him for prolonged periods. Havent seen this movie but 10/10 from me for this scene alone
