Yeah in my personal opinion it was 100% Mina who sent the picture. She seemed to be pulling the strings even hiding information from Shino. As far as Asura taking her life, we don't really know yet, but my guess is that she killed herself as a way to prevent her powers being used by someone else because she could see the future and was disturbed by it. I can only assume she did it for altruistic reasons. Also, Kona states that the one who killed Asura would take Tokio away so it could mean that Asura died because she was avoiding having her brain taken from an individual who would eventually take Tokio away.

Kiruko and Maru’s relationship was my favorite part about the season. Maru loves Kiruko because they are Kiruko. He’s not trying to fit them into any specific role, he just lets Kiruko be Kiruko and he loves them for that
In regards to Kiruko’s short-lived plan from chapter 39 to try to hook Maru up with Helm, while part of it may still be due to Kiruko’s gender dysphoria, I think the greater motivation behind it may be due to Kiruko’s own trauma from Robin raping them. Kiruko referring to themselves as “trash” for “letting” Robin rape them, is unfortunately not an uncommon trauma response from sexual assault survivors (similar to feeling tainted, unworthy, etc.). Kiruko essentially expresses the sentiment that they think Maru is too good or “pure and naive” to fall for them. Also while Haruki may originally have ID as (or was arguably best described as a heterosexual cis male), I don’t know if we can say the same still applies to Kiruko in the present. As I think the most recent chapters of the manga (chapter 53 especially) have begun to imply and hint that Kiruko is starting to develop and return their own romantic feelings towards Maru. Also good analysis and break-down of the context of how/why Haruki may have developed his incestuous feelings/sister complex. Your theory on Mina is also very well put together too. If have the time I would recommend joining the Discord server dedicated Masakazu Ishiguro’s works, you can get a lot of useful information and discussions on the series there. (the twitter dailysoremachi should be able to give you an invite to the server and/or the subreddit for Heavenly Delusion). One example is that the Takahara Academy kids (and Mina too) are choke full of references to Shinto mythology and figures. Perhaps this could further connect the “ancient aliens” theory (which is common in real life crypto-pop cultures of attributing polytheistic religions and cultures as being the result of influence from Ancient Aliens.
As far as Kiruko's shame in coming to terms with being raped, I agree he was referencing that specific event prior to not feeling like Maru should be with him. I could've gone in depth with Kiruko's shame aspect, but the point of my video was to analyze the gender dysphoria aspect of his character. Having said that, I chose to use that example because I still believe it relates to his gender dysphoria as he's uncomfortable with the idea of being "the girl" in a romantic relationship with a boy. But yes, I actually agree with you 100%. As far as referring to Kiruko as a they/them, I could definitely do that, just wanted to go with calling him a he for consistency. I see it both ways. I'm really glad you enjoyed my analysis of the sister complex and my theory about Mina's origins!!! That means a lot! As far as joining the discord server, I'm definitely interested in joining and see what everyone's saying over there! Sounds like a fun community! My understanding of the main plot: I think the directors goal is to create a heaven on earth. Aka bring the immortality humans experience in heaven to earth. She did this by making the facility, in which humanoids are created as combatants/shells to be inhabited by human brains once mature. The disease they succumb to, turns them from humanoids into full on monsters. I think that's why the director was so hard on the doctor when asking if the fifth graders will also be vulnerable. Tokios baby(s?) are gonna be her shells for heaven on earth, because as they are "a child from two children" and not "mina" they may bot be susceptible to the disease that turned the facilities kids to monsters. Since they need to be 13/15 and she can't live that long in her old body the director is transferring her brain into the assistant directors body. After 15 years in that body she plans to insert her brain into the babys's body (Maru, plus another). That's why i think the doctor at the facility is the doctor that put Haruki into Kirukos body. Also: shiro and mimihime are the pair who died in episode 9, and Ohma is the maneater that was in the basment because it made Kiruko hallucinate. I'm guessing Kiruko/Hirukos worst fear is being eaten by managers because he'd(?) already been through that as a kid.
Thanks so much for your comment! Your theory is similar to my existing theory. And it's confirmed already that Sawatari performed the surgery on Kiruko. It's also confirmed that Mimihime and Shiro were the couple from episode 9!. And yes, that was Ohma!

Kuku reminded me of Tsuyu Asui from MHA. The fact that she can stick to walls and her facial expressions sometimes would be similar too. I saw a comment that mentions kuku meaning toad or something like that. I haven't seen this connection so I thought I bring it up. 😊
I have some theories myself and questions as well… in your third video about Asura being alive/who is messing with the cctv… I want to point out that the picture Shiro revives from Mimihime is not sent by her. At least when the picture mysteriously disappears he asks her about it she says she never sent any picture to him. Which leads me to wonder if this and the Kona-Tokio thing have anything in common. My second theory is that Robin killed Kiriku. We know he was eager to find out more about human-hiroko stuff from the beginning. And a bunch of people start going missing in Asakusa. Let’s not forget that Usami/Shiro has no clue why people claim he creates “immortals” or where the rumor started. I think while Robin was living with him he was the one doing these experiments. Also after Robin gets busted by Maru, the guards find that woman-hiroko thing dead. I think either his “sister” was one of the kids from Takahara or has something to do with his hiroko-human hybrid fascination. In fact maybe it was his plan to use either sibling as a part of his experiment and that’s why he shot Kiriko. Hence why he made that face when he met Kiruko. Ok the question: why on earth did neither Usami/Shiro nor Mimihime recognize Maru? The doctor recognized him so did the child in that chair and Imazagi… even Taka recognized Michiru after years. Then again I don’t think Michuru recognized Maru either so I’m confused whether this is a plot hole or not? The kids did seem to assimilate into their new identities and names after a while so maybe that but… yeah…. Idk
The reason Dr.Usami didn’t recognize Maru is probably because he’s bad at recognizing face. When Mimihime was showing him the celebrity that looks like Taka, Shiro didn’t think so and said that he’s bad at recognizing people’s face. As for Mimihime, she probably didn’t get a clear view of Maru’s face. If I remember that scene correctly, Maru’s face is all shadowy in her POV. I need to recheck both the manga and anime for this. EDIT: I rechecked and found that maybe Mimihime wasn’t surprised to see someone with the same face as Tokio at that point. In chapter 1, she foresaw herself being helped by two people and one of them looks like Tokio.
So in one chapter we learn the names of the egg and sperm donnors, i want to check up if one of them is the famous guy mimihime said taka looked like. Also the fact that aren't so many names kinda worries me about incest, two of the couples that had kids had similar hair colours, i hope they aren't related. If minas goal was to procreate, wouldn't creating intersex kids interfere because many intersex people are not able to reproduce? And i wonder in general why the newest generation had more intesex kids.
how is it gender dysphoria when we're talking about a (unconfirmed successful) brain transplant ? Kiriko is not born like this and some of the behaviours in ep 13 are questionably Kiruko's. I liked the analysis of the dynamic between the brother and sister
Dr. Sawatari already confirmed the brain transplant in the manga. And due to Kiruko going back and forth throughout the manga between entertaining the idea of caring about Maru in a romantic sense and stopping herself, it indicates that she's not sure how to internalize her feelings. This is indicative of dysphoria.
Exactly, these are all theories since the manga is nowhere near finished. These videos include spoilers so I'd recommend reading the manga before watching! Hope this helps!
acutally the survellience cams showing incorrect footage of tokio not being in konas room is tokios ability although shes not aware about it she still uses it somehow
There's a chance that her brother did die and this is just how they are dealing with it, or they got 1 lobe from each, since they have had memories of them viewing from the outside who they thought they were. Alot wierd stuff happens with tbi's.
I think the major thing is, where the symbols of heaven and hell are apparent, there is practically zero resemblances of Human world or the Ordinary, the boundary where no humans know a true heaven or true hell until they see the end. Eventuality is that, where there is expressions of the lack of humanity, society and freedom, shows that heaven and hell are not the true goal of what is needed in the world, but the third option, where there is hardly expectations of a peaceful and perfect world akin to heaven, where sex is ignorantly done, or the dire straights of a world where reproduction is a necessity and luxuries to those in a hellish world in the apocalypse. That third option can be seen as people striveing and struggling to be decent and honest humans, not driven solely by survival or instinct, where being whole and forming communities is key, almost everyone is out for a singular goal without any overarching meaning to even the reality they live, seeking out a twin, purely emotional, seeking out the truth, ultimately a need find purpose. No one but possibly shino, a woman obsessed with transcendental things akin to god. As she rules in heaven while the demons eat away at true humanity, till all thata left are demons and animals.
I think treating Kiruko's condition as regular gender dysphoria (trans) is a mistake. We're not talking about a person who has a biologically female body but self-identifies as man. We're talking about a person who has a biologically male brain, self-identifies as man, but is trapped in a female body. So Kiruko doesn't identify with the gender opposite to Kiruko's biology, becasue Kiruko identifies with the gender that corresponds to Kiruko's brain. That, in my opinion, means there's no gender dysphoria. This is what makes Kiruko's condition so difficult to deal with and traumatizing: Kiruko truly is a man (biologically and in terms of self-identity) trapped in a woman's body. Furthermore, there are many hints that Kiruko's identity is becoming something more complex than simply Haruki in another body. Kiruko is getting some of Kiriko's memories. And for 5 years after the brain/body transplant, Kiruko didn't have a period (that's Haruki's male brain influencing Kiriko's body), but now the period is back. Moreover, Kiruko is clearly developing some romantic feelings for Maru, but refuses to acknowledge them, which isn't something to be expected from Haruki, who's hetero as far as we know. Clearly, Kiruko is developing into a new identity, made mainly from Haruki's personality, but progressively incorporating more parts of Kiriko's identity. I have the feeling Kiruko will eventually begin self-identifying as a woman and/or liking men, as Kiriko's female body seems to be gaining more "influence" over this identity. This would also resolve the romantic tension between Kiruko and Maru.
Very interesting idea, where the only reason he acts like a girl is because everyone treats him like one. He very much is the brother but everything that made him who he used to be (besides his memories) is gone. It's like that one thought experiment the Ship of Theseus. His entire body has been replaced with the only thing remaining is his sense of identity. But I still wonder why the doctor performed the brain transplant in the first place.
Spoiler: Robin inazaki shot haruki's sister in the head causing her to have a brain damage and haruki's body was mostly eaten by that man-eater. "There were 2 kids dying infront of me. I wanted to save atleast one of them. I decided to do the brain transplant to give you the body of your sister" - Doc said to kuriko
Hmm not sure I agree with the implication that sexuality/reproduction is corrupt. That's an idea that became popular because of religion, but in reality reproduction is vital to the continuation of our species and consensual sexual relationships are wonderful things. In the manga we can see that after Tokio is given her baby back, her and Kona parent the baby together despite the Academy being in ruins around them and it was so sweet and wholesome. Compare that to the intentions and treatment of the children by the Director and scientists and I would say the kids' sexuality and the relationships they form are one of the more innocent aspect of their lives.
The thing is, sexuality isn't actually corrupt; it's natural. In the context of a group of young teens that have no idea about reproduction, sexuality is a form of corruption because they're being coaxed into relationships without first understanding the consequences of sexual relations. That is why the idea of an entity tricking them into having sex without educating them first can be seen as them losing their innocence.
@@tonyfunk well we agree that mina was accelerating the process of life also we can see that mina is more robotics in the anime then the Manga in the Manga she looks like a woman connected to some machine also there is that closed capsule that can't be open I think Mina real body is there and all that time she was controlling the facility as she is an ai programing for the hiruko production

@@SuperFatboy5000 I've seen that theme alot in many transhumanism works over the years. Essentially many believing that Sex = Hell and the elimination of Sex will bring tranquility. The works can use technology in cyberization, Biological manipulation or Spiritual evolution as catalyst towards the alteration of gender.
Doesn't seem like it. Sexuality is used as a vehicle to show both the innocence of youth and how it can be corrupted. There's also love and sexuality that's shown to be a bit more of a positive thing, like with mimihime and Shiro, as well as with Haru to some degree, etc
One thing I've noticed about Kiruko is that "she" started being emotional through out the anime (like that one time Maru was gone for a while) its a known behavior for females to show a lot of emotion.
that maybe from first glance but from what I understand after watching the anime and reading up to the current chapter in the manga, the show's overarching themes are basically this: - cheating death/immortality by bringing heaven to Earth (director Shino's personal insane endgoal) - and playing God by creating genetically modified super humans (the academy kids) with the help of a hyper-advanced AI (Mina) in an effort to prevent the impending apocalypse which is the Acedemy's true intention (the apocalypse later revealed to be Planet X/Nibiru's eventual collision to Earth, yes, the higher-ups and the AI in the Academy knows this and the world governments somehow, also, Asura, the girl with a mutated alien looking head also seems to know the upcoming apocalypse, hence she hanged herself in the flashback since she couldn't handle witnessing it someday, at least, that's one of the reasons) - and the consequences of the Academy staff by deliberately not giving awareness/knowledge of these academy kids the concept of romantic love, gender, and later on, sexuality before their birth (hence the corruption of sexuality that this video expands upon and what the series is showing so far) and because of that, leads to accidental and premarital acts among the academy students. (I also heard a theory that the super-AI MIna may have played a role on manipulating these kids to do these acts and introducing them these concepts way early than what it should be aka accelerating the process of life by mass-producing superhumans as a way to prepare/survive the incoming apocalypse since she is also the reason why this genetically modified humans are a thing, classic AI shit lol) -while the case for Kiruko is...very complicated, it was handled and written very well. I can understand why the sussy horny parts in some episodes can be off-putting for some and problematic in some way (sadly that's a repeating offense in most animes), thing is, in a lawless post-apocalyptic world, shit like this can get really common and to be fair, these parts gets calmed down or disappear in the later parts of the manga and soon the anime as well (although the latter half of Season 1 barely had any of those, well, until the end of episode 12 and 13 at least but in my opinion that was a realistic depiction of r*pe, not played for laughs or fanservice thankfully...f*ck Robin!)

Your hypothesis is straight up the plot of FF7 lol
Bruh you deep on this show and I love it.
Great job you cleared up so much.
how is it gender dysphoria when we're talking about a (unconfirmed successful) brain transplant ? Kiriko is not born like this and some of the behaviours in ep 13 are questionably Kiruko's. I liked the analysis of the dynamic between the brother and sister
Dr. Sawatari already confirmed the brain transplant in the manga.
And due to Kiruko going back and forth throughout the manga between entertaining the idea of caring about Maru in a romantic sense and stopping herself, it indicates that she's not sure how to internalize her feelings. This is indicative of dysphoria.
Haruki were confused with his current gender since his past are male but now he got female body due to brain transplant into her sister body
Im anime only but im so tempted to read the manga and watch these vidoes but from what I've heard even they don't know whats happening 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly, these are all theories since the manga is nowhere near finished. These videos include spoilers so I'd recommend reading the manga before watching! Hope this helps!
Yeah, thats too much and a bit more. Glad I've dropped the series
In chapter 39 kuriko was feeling dirty because of the abuse self blaming not becasue of maru xD
Sick vids, missed a lot of the stuff you talked about.
Lol I was joking with my bro, but all my theories were spot on
acutally the survellience cams showing incorrect footage of tokio not being in konas room is tokios ability although shes not aware about it she still uses it somehow
I thought it was azuras or konas as it happened when she committed suicide
definitely some interference because in the manga, tokio uses her ability and it has nothing to do with invisibility or transparency
This sounds like an allegory for Paradise Lost and the Fall of Man from Genesis.
There's a chance that her brother did die and this is just how they are dealing with it, or they got 1 lobe from each, since they have had memories of them viewing from the outside who they thought they were. Alot wierd stuff happens with tbi's.
Great Video
Thank you!!!
nibiru the primal being still destroying fields huh
Isn’t there an asteroid close to earth now that’s gonna be its closest in 2039? Interesting
correct me if iam wrong but is most of what happens in heaven in the past?

Great video. Well done.
Thank you!!! Means a lot!!!
Ik bros search history looks crazy
where can I find this manga in colour in internet?
Thank You, i love u ❤
Thank you!!! Much love
Is Maru the strongest?
Thank you now I understand why Robin is a predator
I love Eastern philosophy
There is no such thing as heaven, it is only in the mind, however hell is tangible
Good video.
I decided to do the brain transplant to give you the body of your sister"
- Doc said to kuriko
@Tester503 why did he shoot her?
@@tetsuc4bra577 Not sure , but looking at how of an a**hole he was , he probably had very bad intention with her
Nice
name two girls Tiny Fnuy part 4 pls
Interesting
Bro i watched the anime and and this messed up my mind
@@ziadkouroughli6485 Interesting theory! I guess we'll have to find out and see!
nanaki and iwa kissing oh my god
While I appreciated the animation, the story confused me so bad, I do not even want to see a season 2. Too many unexplained items that need videos like this to be erected so that us noobs can follow or understand what we just watched. There were so many WTF and HUH moments, that I almost turned it off midway through, but was determined to finish it.
Robin ayo
I read the manga. And I wonder why didn't kiruko fight back as you can see she easily untide the knot easily to stop Maru
@@rwik....170 good point
@@rwik....170 Robin already done the deed by then so Kiruko was unstable after that. She probably never tried to escape after that. Maru's visit is the one that "restarted" her.
@@strikerdx2 why anime are so dramatise. haha. i read lots of NTR manga so my imagination is different than normal anime plot..
Can someone tell why did Robin did That to kiruko?
It sounds like Scientology LOL
They are really a connection between these two story
its a lot
so sex bad is the theme?\
Pretty much😂
Its more about the corruption of sexuality
Sex ? Sex !
you should reread the manga
Oh I get it, it’s The Last of Us but with reversed gendered roles. Ain’t nothing special here. Looks cool animated however…
This anime was too gay for me to get behind 😉
i'll give your content an A for effort, but if i were you, i would rewatch the series in japanese and fix the pronunciation of the names
One thing I've noticed about Kiruko is that "she" started being emotional through out the anime (like that one time Maru was gone for a while) its a known behavior for females to show a lot of emotion.
This anime didn't make sense to me. It only came across to me as something like groomers would read.
that maybe from first glance but from what I understand after watching the anime and reading up to the current chapter in the manga, the show's overarching themes are basically this:
- cheating death/immortality by bringing heaven to Earth (director Shino's personal insane endgoal)
- and playing God by creating genetically modified super humans (the academy kids) with the help of a hyper-advanced AI (Mina) in an effort to prevent the impending apocalypse which is the Acedemy's true intention (the apocalypse later revealed to be Planet X/Nibiru's eventual collision to Earth, yes, the higher-ups and the AI in the Academy knows this and the world governments somehow, also, Asura, the girl with a mutated alien looking head also seems to know the upcoming apocalypse, hence she hanged herself in the flashback since she couldn't handle witnessing it someday, at least, that's one of the reasons)
- and the consequences of the Academy staff by deliberately not giving awareness/knowledge of these academy kids the concept of romantic love, gender, and later on, sexuality before their birth (hence the corruption of sexuality that this video expands upon and what the series is showing so far) and because of that, leads to accidental and premarital acts among the academy students. (I also heard a theory that the super-AI MIna may have played a role on manipulating these kids to do these acts and introducing them these concepts way early than what it should be aka accelerating the process of life by mass-producing superhumans as a way to prepare/survive the incoming apocalypse since she is also the reason why this genetically modified humans are a thing, classic AI shit lol)
-while the case for Kiruko is...very complicated, it was handled and written very well.
@whiteRiceSupremacist You sound like a really shallow person.
