Dam !! This is amazing build and inspiring!! For past year have my eyes on 2 different types of these machines. Each about 3 g. Bought some land in Ozarks VERY REMOTE. Im a big time do it myself person, and this came across my utube chanel. This is a good post from you, thank you much!!
After coming across the Mud Mixer I've thought about this myself. I feel as though a better version could be made, which mixes and pours cement at a faster rate.
Man, rhis is absolutely awesome! So cool tou built this, you did a great job. Thabks for sharing not only tour woek but what we need to replicate what touve done. You're awesome man 😎
Is the tube the auger goes in that has the cutout and the end that has water holes Gray schedule 40 pvc or is it steel? Looks like the gray schedule 40 since it has the flanged/expanded end to slide over the outlet of the hopper.
Thanks for sharing. I’m attempting a build my self but bigger Using battery gun great idea keeping it simple. I think your water system is too small because you are limiting your supply One day you may want to max its production of concrete you’ll need all the water you can get
This is a nice mudmixer DIY. While I know those HF drills are cheap, I'd try to find a treadmill or something with an electric motor that someone sets out for trash day and scavenge the motor from it. You need a larger motor on that thing for any larger projects. Also, it would probably allow you to have a better dial to control the speed. Nice work! I'd love to have some sort of cnc cutter like that. I was a mechanical designer for 20+ years, so I can design in Solidworks and other CAD software, so would be easy to create some DIY stuff to cut. I recently came across another DIY mixer that a guy made in a propane tank and with a fence post type auger and it was powered by a tractor PTO shaft. I really like that idea because my dad has 2 tractors and just the increased volume you could mix would be great. If you or anyone else is interested, here it is, but unfortunately, there isn't much detail on the build like yours has. ruclips.net/video/-K0cnA44kq0/видео.html
I've also started buying parts to try my hand at building my own...I was going to buy the Mud Mixer ...I've had it in my cart multiple times...most recently a week ago...with the free hopper extension and including the add-on chute. With tax and shipping to Kansas it was over $3700. I would love to just buy one but can't justify it at that price point. That's why I'm so thankful for videos like this one! Great job and thanks for sharing your ideas! Really appreciate it!

Why copy when you can innovate
Honestly!
Just go buy one!
For 3k? I only have $400 in parts, 6 hours in labor
@@benpoguebp $3k
Are you kidding?
$600 maybe
And who has a laser cutter just lying around ready to cut out the parts?

@mikeperri7246 if my carpentry skills were better, I would of made it all from plywood lol
Do you think the Harbor Freight low speed mixer drill will hold up? Does it seem to have plenty of power/torque?
You mentioned ordering kit from farmer boy? Is that farmerboyag.?
Can you share Part # for kit if you have it.thanks
Yes it is, the comment I posted a few weeks ago has the part numbers. It's also referenced in the video. Happy building!
