Thank you for entertaining me I'm currently in the hospital I just had surgery on my stomach. I have watched so many of your videos over the past two days thanks for taking my mind off things.
I live up in Washington near the border of British Columbia and I have the Nooksack and the Skagit River to fish for all salmon species and I just can’t get enough of the salmon. They are my favorite fish to catch. We have a big Chum run up where I live and those are some massive fish that never fail to put on a good fight. Love it up here in the upper left! Love your videos too
I really hope people realize that you made this ( or the guide anyway) made this look easier than it really is! Salmon can be a very hard fish to catch! You hooked more salmon than I did my first two years fishing for them in this one trip! Something should be said about how good this guide is! He put them on them, and they landed many! If that is not great advertisement, I don't know what is!
Thetruth99 idk where you guys are fishing but I live in Washington and that river specifically and the klickitat, washougal, and white salmon rivers are goldmines I swear salmon fishing is almost to easy here
Well said especially coho they are very finicky the first year a fished for them I didn't catch anything but I was fishing a really hard river with a fly rod
This is an awesome video, so awesome that I'm pissed off. I've been living at the mouth of the Skagit and I have never caught a fish in there the four years I have lived here. I've fished from Sedro to Rockport, I've seen all kinds of fish, but I've never landed any. Now I know what to use. Thanks for the tackle tips!
Good to see you got a taste of the west. Remember Seattle is a huge city. Lots of the northwest is small towns, few people, and amazing fishing. We also have spectacular bass fishing, walleye, sturgeon, etc. The west is best.
Literally a few hours ago I caught my first KIng Salmon EVER here in Northern California!! I can totally feel your guys excitement! Thank you so much for your great videos and the motivation. KEEP FISHING..NEVER STOP!!
I love these videos over the bass fishing videos so much more. Your videos are just so nicely edited/ filmed, it makes this type of fishing just that much more awesome. MORE TROUT AND SALMON FISHING VIDS PLZ
Jon, i love your channel. I also like the fact that you are not subject to one species of fish as well! It looks like you, Rob, and Peric are best friends since yall are always together!

I was in Seattle just one month ago. That area is just beautiful. These are some of your best videos John. Really enjoying your reactions as to how beautiful everything is.
+Jon B. by far my favorite video you've ever done man. the fish, the scenery, the b-roll, all of it man. great job. was any of it color graded or did you have a polarizer on? or is it just that intense in person. the surroundings were epic.
Laak Gaming looks like it. Just got word that one of my best friends is moving within a stones throw of the river their fishing here next month. I might be making the trip up there sooner than later.
yea good guide. I just did a trip yesterday in Oregon on the Willamette river had a great time going for spring nooks. this is my home state im waiting on fall nooks to start back up.
This was unbelievable! I knew Washington was pretty but I had no idea, it has now made it on my bucket list for fishing and visiting, thanks so much for sharing this amazing video! That picture was super epic!
I just sent Peric a screenshot lol I've been wanting you guys to come try this for a while now! So glad you guys had an epic day and that I could help!
hey jon & friends, My name is Jeff Wallace, I am from a small town in upstate NY, Oswego, we are a port city on the central/eastern end of Lake Ontario, and we have some the best King salmon fishing in the world, right here on the lake all summer, and in the rivers during fall. I am passionate about trolling for these beasts, and will soon be a licensed captain. I would love to host you guys and show you how we do it here in the Great Lakes. Spring time offers amazing brown trout fishing, we troll in 5 to 50 fow for 5lb to 20lb brown trout, somedays you can land up to 50 fish, along with other species like salmon, steelhead, and lake trout. All summer you can catch kings, but the best time is August, we average 10-20 bites in a 5hour trip, each bite is a super adrenaline rush. Most mature kings range from 20-30lbs, not uncommon to see a 35lber being caught. I could board yoguys here at my house and take you fishing free of charge. I promise you an experience like no other. If you are interested, comment back and we swap info, and talk details. Tight lines, Captain Jeff
Cool to watch this as I grew up fishing the Snoqualmie and Yakima rivers. Sad though my dad didn't know how to steel -head, so we just fished for trout in the summer, but still beautiful fish. Thanks for the video footage-takes me back
@@danpaul9773 It is the Skagit River, in Washington State. About 60 miles north of Seattle. The section of river they fished was between the towns of Rockport and Sedro Woolley. The Coho runs are in late Summer- early Autumn.
After that first failed trip for Coho, I'm glad you guys got a chance to go out to a good spot with someone who knows their stuff! You guys absolutely slayed them! It was seriously awesome to meet you at BPS last night! Keep up the great work!
yea man I grew up 3 hrs south of here and now that I moved to arizona I knew I took it for granted especially being born in the pnw, I'll be back in a few months so I'm stoked, the beauty is unmatched at times.
I am so stoked that you got to experience what the Northwest has got to offer man. Ive been waiting for you to do this vid since I've started watching your channel 3 years ago. Come back this winter. Ive gotta feeling Winter Steelhead season is going to be epic as all hell this year. hit me up. and i will get you onto some chromers for sure.
Excellent video by far one of my favs. I will strongly suggest for consideration a king salmon video in western Michigan for the fall bite....it’s been absolutely legendary
As a life long resident of the beautiful Skagit valley I have to say you cut me deeply every time you said you were in Seattle. Come back up here and spend a week or so exploring this amazing place and seattle will be the furthest thing from your mind.
It's really cool seeing that you came here and were fishing near my home. I watch a ton of your videos on bass fishing, and to see that you guys came to Marble Mount and Rockport to fish Silvers is awesome! love the video man!
Epic dope B rolls and nice epic shot of Rob soldiering up with the beanie. These collaborations just keep getting better and better. Goes without saying now, but just killer footage/fishing diversity. Cheers, man. Have a great weekend out there with the squad..
It's pretty awesome seeing you guys experience the lakes and rivers near me. We have some of the best fishing! Next time you come up this way should hit the Skykomish River and slam some steelhead. I know some amazing spots. Also would have been awesome to see you guys swinging flies for them kings and coho! Glad you all had fun.
This video is cool. I never thought that I would see a video with the river I grew up on. You guys took off from Marble Mount then made your way past the Cascade river and on down. The mountain there on hwy 20 between Concrete and Marble mount is Sauk (sock) mountain. I haven't got to fish this river in 8 years y'all are lucky.
Kings are so fun to catch! Here in Milwaukee there everywhere! I caught a 31 pounder this year and let me tell you it took me 30 plus minutes to land on 10 pound test.
Love fishing out of those McKenzie drift boats for trout and salmon. It's a real job getting those big fish in! Yea, you're not In Kansas anymore! Welcome to the west coast!
Fish as often as I can. Went up to lk Arthur last weekend, was a horrible day of fishing. I normally do a lot of river fishing but haven't done so at all this year. Been doing too much shore fishing this year, cannonsburg lk and Peter's lk with my son.
I barely found your channel like a few weeks ago, your videos are awesome and now that I see this video just ads to the hype since I always fish it..sweet video man maybe one day we can fish together if you ever come up to Washington again
Best video by far. I would really appreciate more of this stuff: River fishing for trout, salmon...

Pure passion for fishing is what I enjoy most about your channel
are you just doing catch and release or are you also eating your fish sometimes ?

Salmon basically rot alive after they spawn. It's pretty interesting stuff.

+zepix which kind do? I remember seeing some discovery show about it a while back.
Cameron Line Chum are really bad when it comes to rotting. Zombie like almost.
No one gives a fuck
All pacific salmon species do
