Has spring finally arrived ?

I head out on a lovely spring morning getting in some miles , with a BikePacking trip in about 3 weeks I need some mileage in the legs.
I wasn’t out to break any records and just had a steady ride around the country lanes.

Looking forward to the Liverpool, Leeds trip. There's a nice little cafe right on the towpath in Rishton between Blackburn and Accrington. Bridge 108A Canal View Cafe, they are on facebook, closed Fridays.

You will love the Liverpool to Leeds canal as i have done it before, amazing scenery around Gargrave in Yorkshire, really looking forward to seeing that video Dave.

It's certainly starting to feel much brighter and warmer! The pesky winds won't seem to back down but i have an electric motor to combat that 😉🙂🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲

I'm looking forward to the upcoming trip where you are riding the Liverpool to Leeds navigation. Hopefully the weather will be more stable then, how do you find taking the bike on the train? I have been looking into a Brompton to make bike train bike travelling easier. Some people tour long distance on a Brompton (like Susanna Thornton), but I worry about the restrictions smaller wheels could give. Anyway, I hope you manage to get out in the meantime to try the new tent out. ATB Big Dave Scotland

Thanks Dave , yeah just hoping it settles down and we have a drying spell.. bikes and trains can be a bit iffy, as long as you book it on and display your booking voucher ,I also speak to the station staff and guard telling them of my plans . funnily enough I bought a Brompton last year and hoping to do a few trips on mine this year . tfw atb Dave

I think you have camped with Sandy the Wiltshire man in the past, so you will have seen him and his mate Dave (too many Daves around here) Brompton travels. I do hope you get a camp in with the Brompton as I'm obviously very interested in your thoughts.

@@davidginn8448 yes I camped with Sandy in the lakes and he’s a cracking bloke , hopefully when it warms up I will do a camp with the Brompton 👍
