If you listen closely to what is listed as Unknown after the band performs Loving You, Skip is trying to reference a tremendous song he penned during the Jefferson Airplane days "J.P.P. McStep B. Blues." This is a total hidden gem from the performance. Thank you for sharing.
Yes! Like yesterday watching this incredible reunion. Jerry Miller is on fire having his band mates on stage w him. Look how he locks into Skippy Never miss a beat w Mose onstage after so many years. Play that guitar Mose.. tell it like it is
I want to express my appreciation for this share of Moby Grape live. I was in Elementary School when I was influenced by so many in 1965. I loved this original music that sounded and still sounds 100% original. I hope any remaining members still with us are in good health. I searched high and low for any MG, I own many original albums but I wanted more. So thankful for these recent additions. If any original members or their families are reading this, I would like you to know, this music touched me in a very personal, significant way.
Thanks Ark and thanks to the internet. I always worried what happened the Skippy and all the What Ifs. The Grape had some real talented guys, could of should of gone to the top. Jerry sure had some chops. Oh well. At least we get to hear this last performance.
This is the longest video footage of Skip I've ever seen. Despite being in rough shape, It's nice to see him enjoy himself with the band. He shook hand with a few people from the audience, that was cool. Thx for sharing. :)
Bob Mosely is the one without guitar, singing Come in The Morning. At 17:35, Jerry Miller (2nd from left) introduces the guitarist to his left. Sounds like he said "Dave Finity?!" or Dan? then Tiran Porter, then Peter Lewis. Don Stevenson on drums and vocals. Wasn't sure if it was Don until he sang. Spence gets called out from the stage by Lewis for the first time at 41:40.
What a great show. Kind of rough having a few band members in outer space but that's the way it went. Its for real that's for sure. Nothing being held back. True to the moment. These guys got a lot of class and respect. Sure wish Skip would have been able to control himself long enough to play but that's the story of heavy drug use. Its naked to you in this one. I sure did enjoy seeing you all together again doing what you love to do. This vids a gem. The 2 core members playing guitar keep the whole thing rollin.

In a way it was great seeing Skippy again but, In another way it's sorta sad to see what became of him and thinking about what could have been if it was not for his personal demons gaining full control over him....
Believe It or not, these guys were really a great band back in the day poor skip Spence. Drugs And? mental illness. You can't really see the faces too good.Is that skip Without a guitar? Very sad. At least. they let him come out and Play?
Obvs I'm joking, he just seems so loved up and happy and dancey, it's nice to see. Heartbreakingly poignant when he's the only one who stays on stage before the encores. He didn't want to leave the limelight, where he should have been.

All I can say is I’m glad I’m still alive to watch this. This is a special gift. Thank you.
Miss Skip's rambling on the 22 bus riding the El Camino Real... what a trip! RIP Bro!
They sound good! Great band.

Is peter lewis the Longhair on the right?
Skip is not playing guitar?
Jerry Miller handsdown best SF guitarist with Cipolina. sorry Jerry, Jorma and Barry and James
@@jamesrippner672 Maybe a great guitarist but his sound wasn't as unique as the others you name.

That’s not Don Stevenson. Jerry introduces him as Jim Preston and says he hasn’t been with them long.
Miller's astounding. He can play almost any kind of lick. Makes it look easy.
Thank you for this! 😊
thanks for posting. follwrd them coast too coast but never seen this. kinda beatifully sad.

Bob says the drummer is James Preston of the Sons
Yeah Skip!!
Sad to hear of Jerry's passing. Im sure you were at the gates to greet him.
Anyone know why they thank Jerry Garcia going into 8:05?
this concert was held on the one-year anniversary of his death (9/9/1995)
Jerry Miller was one of the best Bay Area guitarists of all time.
Okay, never mind now.I see skip spence wow
So how many original members are up there
Sour voices , guitars sound good 👍
Tiran Porter on bass?
looks like Joe Russo on drums?
So it is Jerry Miller and Bob Mosley. Tiran Porter? Who are they other musicians?
Believe

Who is guitarist on far left? Did he sing Changes Circles Spinning on Truly Fine Citizen? His vocals are excellent.
can somebody tell who's who? 2nd left is jerry. 3rd without guitar is bob?
thanks for the video!
Is Don Stevenson playing drums?.
No.
James Preston
Slight correction-amundo... THIS is Bob Mosley, not so much Skip.
Bob Mosley played in New York with the band in '97 and '98.
@@Peter-qu3lv OK, I'll modify my statement.
Someone gave Skippy an 'E' that night.
