You have too many steps here bud. Since you have indexed the art, now all you have to do is choose your color with the magic wand then right click>layer via copy and you're done. Do that for all of your colors, then go back and rename the layers. I've found the most efficient way to do repetitive tasks is with an 'assembly line' mindset - make all the layers first, then rename all the layers next, etc What you are teaching in the tutorial is essentially the same thing as 'layer via copy' but you;re doing it in a long and inefficient way. I'm assuming you will eventually turn these layers into channels, and if so making the layers is completely unnecessary. Again, with the wand, choose your color then right click>Save selection. After doing this for all your colors, go to the channels pallette and rename them all to the correct color from whatever color book you are using and make sure to turn it to a spot color. Easy peasy and very efficient. Hope that helps you. I'm going to subscribe to your channel. Good luck.

now im asking this spot color separation its for tshirt printing?if yes how much the solidity for white base,grey,black n other colors fot black base fabric.how much the minimal black color for printing screen thank you.
Thank you.. I am kinda new to screen printing , what I really need to know is why would you do this color separation ending up having to have six screens when you can just do the CMYK and have to have only four screens.
I really need to know what difference does it make if you dont mind. Thank you.
by separating out for CMYK printing, you limit your options for printing the art. By indexing into multiple color-specific screens, you have the ability to add coloways, adjust individual colors, and specify pantone colors, or other color standards.
