However, re-framing it to think of my future job as being a video game with every day being a different level I have to beat puts my mind at a little more ease. Remember, terrible customers are a guarantee, but a bad work culture isn't! When you're starting out, it is completely okay to drop jobs where the managers and coworkers treat you poorly. This includes behavior like ignoring your breaks and making you work on days you had requested off because someone else called out. (This is super common.) When you do find a place that treats you well, that's when you stick around long enough to put it on your resume. Good luck out there! Almost forgot: It's good practice to land another job before you quit a bad one. It keeps the money rolling in consistently. And anything under $15 an hour (in the US) is below the living wage. Many older people don't realize this and will try to hire you for much less.

I ended up being shift lead only because I managed to stay around the longest and I completely contribute that to my obsession with the game Overcooked. my one criticism of this amazing video is that it starts with one of Bowser's themes, since my boy Bowser would NEVER harass a customer service worker. How do I know this? Not ONCE throughout the *entirety* of Bowser's Inside Story does Bowser haggle with Broque Monsieur about prices or service of *any* kind. And of course, how much of a problem they really are or if it is one of the kind that backs down immidiatly once you resist... And the intermission boss of 'Its not the Customer, its the Regional Manager.'
I need this so much. I just recovered from an illness and now going back to work till the nighttime. Although, it does remind me of those wild times when I was working. Here's one that stood out for me: That night, there was a lady who walked in and she had an N-95 mask on. It was tough to decipher what she was saying and you have to pay close attention to what she was saying. She asked me if there was anyone at the Meat and Seafood department, and so I replied; "Of course, I will ring them up, and they will be ready to assist you when you come over to them," so I called up the Meat and Seafood that there is some customer assistance. After ringing a couple of customers, the lady with the N-95 mask approached me and was visibly upset. She began to say something that I could not be able to understand, and so I asked her if she could be able to repeat that again. That is when she went full-on ballistic, and I had to call in the supervisor. That lady was then kicked out of the store and left her credit card behind. (pretty much everyone at the front end knew her name,) and none of us ever saw her again.
Working as a grocery store cashier, this music is how I feel sometimes. Next time I have to deal with a Karen, this is what will be going on in my head.

100%. When I quit my last customer service job I started working at a lab where they had me sorting tubes of literal feces. It beat dealing with people, it wasn't even close. Tubes of bodily waste can't yell at you.

One can vividly imagen the kinds of 'customers' each boss music belongs to. Their reasonings and methods. If they feel genuinely wronged or just enjoy the power. If they are Verbally abusive, demand higher ups, threaten with violence, or pull the 'oops, I made your day harder' card. And of course, how much of a problem they really are or if it is one of the kind that backs down immidiatly once you resist... And the intermission boss of 'Its not the Customer, its the Regional Manager.'

I didn't expect any pikmin but find it funny that out of all tracks, the pathetic escape of the ptsd causer, aka waterwraith, was the track chosen.
I need this so much. I just recovered from an illness and now going back to work till the nighttime. Although, it does remind me of those wild times when I was working. Here's one that stood out for me:
That night, there was a lady who walked in and she had an N-95 mask on. It was tough to decipher what she was saying and you have to pay close attention to what she was saying. She asked me if there was anyone at the Meat and Seafood department, and so I replied; "Of course, I will ring them up, and they will be ready to assist you when you come over to them," so I called up the Meat and Seafood that there is some customer assistance. After ringing a couple of customers, the lady with the N-95 mask approached me and was visibly upset. She began to say something that I could not be able to understand, and so I asked her if she could be able to repeat that again. That is when she went full-on ballistic, and I had to call in the supervisor. That lady was then kicked out of the store and left her credit card behind. (pretty much everyone at the front end knew her name,) and none of us ever saw her again.
Finally something to listen to while I suffer working the grind.
I would play Nintendo music over the speakers when working at my fast food job, so this is perfect!

I never had a job, never worked Fast food, retail, or customer service, but I have nothing but respect for the people who do work in these jobs, you guy are wonderful, keep up the great work, our society wouldn’t be the same without you. I also try my best to be pleasant around workers, i know they struggle a lot, so hopefully…I can make it a little bit easier for them.

I saw this on Monday and was in pain that I couldn’t listen to it or have a chance to comment right away. My mom was in town so the normal Monday schedule was set aside 😭. Listening now and LOVING IT! Exactly the type of hype music i need when I want to speed run chores or just be hyped up to conquer something hard in life! I may even use this as a work out playlist!
