Well they make like 8k on the lowest specced version of the model 3. I think they could easily make a smaller car with a smaller battery that costs way less. You make a hatchback that is 1000lbs less than a model y then you won't need as large of a battery for it. Also because it's a smaller vehicle means less material needed. I'm sure they'll even spec it with some cloth seats kinda like a polestar.
I appreciate Tesla’s commitment to affordability with the Model 2 Redwood, but I hope they dont compromise on safety features to cut costs. Safety should remain a priority.
