Gyroplane American Ranger AR1

Went out the other day to fly gliders. Nobody was flying gliders that day, so I started looking around for other things to fly and came up with this. Turns out you can sort of hover these if you point them into the wind and the wind is strong enough. the paddle turns were unique and certainly fun. Apologies on the Audio.

Hi Mike, I've got the same color AR-1 with the 912 ULS engine. Will start flying with my instructor the coming week. So anxious to get into the air. I look forward to checking this site out more and letting you know how it goes. Fly safe! BTW...I'm in Ohio.

You're going to have a blast. They have a bag of tricks that don't belong to the airplanes the Gyroplanes do. Let us know how the paddle turns are coming along.

Let me know who your instructor is. He needs to be familiar with AR-1 to be safe.

I rented that one. If I owned it, I'd be flying it right now. 😊 learn to paddle turn it ASAP. It's part of what makes them unique. Also, once you get your Gyro license, there is no minimum hour requirement for a helicopter license. Makes the add on much less expensive. Good luck and let me know if you're landing KVNY.
