- ✓ We think that this shop is probably one of the smallest Mini Dutch Pancake stall in the world, it is absolutely tiny; but everything required is in place to produce some of the most delicious Netherland style pancakes anywhere.
Guinness World Records hasn't verified or confirmed this............but do you think you can find smaller???
The shop is called "??????????" and is located in Inverness Street Market in the heart of the world famous Camden Market.
There are numerous toppings offered such as:
Icing Sugar.
Cinnamon Powder.
Whipped Cream.
Nutella Chocolate Sauce.
Maple Syrup.
Condensed Milk.
Banana.
Strawberry.
Blueberries.
Can you believe they even do a gold plated version "using edible gold leaf".
The batter is a secret recipe but a look on the internet show the ingredients can be milk, flour, water & egg.
If you think about the Netherlands you might think about ganga weed (cannabis), museums and prostitutes. What you maybe don’t think about is Dutch snack food sold by Street hawkers.

You never put Nutella on poffertjes, ever! You eat them with some bitter on top and with powdered sugar. You can eat pannekoeken with whatever you want on top, but please Stay basic with this delicious cultural recipe from our beautiful country the Netherlands

You wouldn't be the first one to import a pan just to make them! I highly suggest to look for a "poffertjespan". Good luck making your first poffertjes (and a bunch of new friends when you hand them out).

Dutch poffertjes are way smaller and baked longer, these are like small pancakes lol. Also, I've never seen someone eat them with nutella. We always eat them with melted real butter and powdered sugar.

Traditional is with ample powdered sugar (no Nutella), a piece of butter and a cup of coffee.
Or vanilla ice cream or Advokaat.

it is Indian dish version made of rice and lentils fermented batter. south Indian dish called as appe.
It is not, maybe Appe is very similar but these are Poffertjes (a traditional Dutch dish) and Poffertjes are not made out of rice and lentils but from wheat and buckwheat. A traditional Dutch dish can't be made from rice because The Netherlands is too cold for rice. We eat rice but it is not our tradition.

People love sugar,in fact crave for sugar,this is the way he exploited the opportunity for business.
We eat these pancakes with coconut chutney in India,however the batter is different, we use Urad dal batter.
What does it matter? This dish is apparently not typical Dutch so everyone has his own way to eat it. You know it with butter and sugarpowder, other people with different ingrediënts.
Sundertje The dish originates in Holland actually and is typical Dutch cuisine. However you can eat it how you like it ofcourse.

We use to eat the same kind of pan cakes in India(especially South India) and these are also eaten in Indonesia.
of course,we can find variations between each of the pancakes from different regions.

there are atleast some common kinds of cooking methods in each and every cuisine.
Even in India too we can find the same item in different states.
In East India,you can find similar recipes right from West bengal to Andhra pradesh.
In south india,Karnataka and kerala.
