One Tuesday afternoon I walk in to pick up my check and there's this one guy in the entire place eating lunch with the manager, so I sit down and join them. We shook hands and introduced ourselves. This was pre-smartphone days, and the name didn't ring a bell, but his shop shirt said Monte on it and Boss Hoss as the business. Anyway, we talked casually for a few minutes as Monte finished his cold ones and eventually he said he had to get back to work. I said something to the effect of, "You think your supervisor's gonna bust you for having a few with lunch?" He shrugged it off as no big deal, replying, "Nah, I should be okay." I asked him if he got to build any bikes there, to which he replied: "I just sweep the floors, brother." The club manager burst out laughing at this, but didn't say anything. As Monte got up to leave, we shook hands and off he went, presumably back to sweep the floors. Only after he was gone did the manager tell me that he didn't sweep the floors at all, and that I had just sat down with Monte Warne--the founder of Boss Hoss Motorcycles. That statement is fake news. The world of motorcycles crosses all national borders. There have been car-engined motorcycles in many places. Some are one-offs, some were regular production models. Off the top of my head I can name the following production models: Brough Superior with an Austin engine built in the UK, the Amazonas with a VW engine built in Brazil, the BFG and MF, two French brands that used Citroen motors. Then, there's Allen Millyard, the king of one-offs, over in the UK who built himself a beautiful bike around a Viper V10 and for good measure a V-Twin using two cylinders off of an aircraft radial engine. He has his own YT channel: ruclips.net/user/millyardviper
@indytbird People who say "buy a real bike" did not graduate Highschool. A bike, in this context, is a motor vehicle with two wheels. This video showcases multiple two wheeled vehicles that are powered by a motor, thus defining them as a motorcycle or "bike."

This is just a great and enjoyable review of these bikes! I have heard of these years ago, but this is the first review I have seen. Everything I wanted to know, you have reviewed it! Thank you for the review and the fun entertainment in watching you enjoy your ride! Peace!
Sean fired up the big block Boss Hoss and all I could think was “sounds like Independence from Vice Grip Garage”. But it’s a motorcycle. Insane. I loike it.
My father has the trike boss hoss with the 57 Chevy bellair rear with the rear storage, it’s a pretty neat bike Him and my mother have taking it cross country several times Unique bike for sure
I have a 502 Kannon. I love it! It’s actually very easy to ride, smooth and pleasant. Gets a little scary when the rear tire breaks loose, otherwise it’s easier to ride than a Harley bagger In my opinion.
That bike looks and seems completely AWESOME! I was impressed when I gave the 2017 HD Freewheeler a test ride, with its 1747 cc (106 ci) engine, but your Boss is generating even more power. That's incredible!
I would love an explanation, description, of what the transmission and shifting is like. Are they automatics? I’ve owned and rode bikes for 50 years but never a beast like those. Love it!
When are you going to pick up a 2020 Rocket? I can't wait to get your take on it! 0 - 60 in 2.7 secs and its my daily commuter. The Boss Hoss looks and sound ace by the way! Great Vid as always.
The acceleration you must feel reminds me of how I felt when I had my Suzuki M109R...the pull on that bike was tremendous. THESE Boss Hoss bikes must feel like a jet fighter doing Mach I.
I remember back in the day a dude rolled up on one down at Biloxi Mississippi during a bike rally. It was an old school one with a small block Chevy 350. That thing was HUGE!! But man did it sound good
"They say, everyday you should do something to scare yourself" - have to admit I've never met "them" who say that. More like "every day, brush your teeth, call your mother and wipe your shoes before coming in the house." If I get a Boss Hoss, can I quit doing those things?
You still have to do those things, just a bit differently. Every day, brush your teeth with whiskey, call your mother and let her know you aren't dead yet, and kick your feet up on the table in the house.
Ya know everyone tries to say a turbo busa is the best starter bike. I'd have to disagree and say the 600hp boss hoss is the best starter bike. Its got everything you need and then some lol. And its comfortable lol.
I'm pretty sure every component is based and built around the engine and it's weight, so shouldn't be any worse for maintenance then a regular car, truck, or motorcycle...And parts will be cheaper and more readily available since this is a Chevy pushrod v8 a timeless century old design...
I always loved that someone actually produced a v8 bike... but it's not like I would ever buy one. (I like to go around corners too) But, you did prove a point... there is just so much engine... you really can't use it. (0-60 times) Heck... even when I'm on my B-King... I can't mash the throttle... even in 3rd gear for fear of spinning, or going over. But all that torque is a good time.
Brain child of Monte Warne, out of Tennessee, worked a short time at Lawrenceville Ga. Boss Hoss. My friend designed the emblem . I remember that red, white ,and blue machine.the paint jobs generally totally unique, bike to bike.
When you really sit down and think about it, it makes perfectly good sense. A V8 motorcycle ticks all of the boxes. If I could afford it, this would be my first choice. But ummm...dare I say it... Is there a Hemi version? 🙏😀
Wow!! I don't know what is, but my favorite is the '92!! It's the same with me and 80's dirt bikes. I'm more attracted to the old high profile tanks on the 80's- early 90's bikes.
Nice to see them, glad they are making them, but I find all three of my cruisers are faster where it counts, lighter weight and more fuel efficient, however I do like that trike alot, that should be boss hog's it's calling
In the late 1960’s wanted to buy a Munch Monmouth! The bike used a NSU four cylinder car engine! Malcomb Forbes of Forbes Magazine was the distributor! The showroom in Atlanta was for fitting the bike to your body! Yes, they measured your arms, hight, weight, rear end and leg length so the bike fit the rider! My 30 minute demonstration ride sold me! Expensive it was, but what a bike! Twin head lights, incredible smooth shifting and enough power to any driving situation! It was hand made basically in Germany! The company failed, but refunded my money! The reason it failed was the builder was a German perfectionist and took his time to build each bike one by one! It wasn’t gliztzy but really incredibly beautiful and practical! There are still a few in the US running about!
I got to try one very slowly down Brighton strip. Fella swore blind all the weight disappeared as soon as you move. He was right , handled real nice... and I was a litre sport bike guy back then. Bit large for our roads here unfortunately. Lovely bikes tho. So well-made

The red & black Boss Hoss is stunning!
Yeah it is
I love how the whole bike moves side to side when he cracks the throttle at a standstill. So much damn rotating mass.
You should see the big modded ones lol. Theres a video on yt of a bigblock with twin turbos and nitrous lmfao.
That trike made me cry! Absolutely beautiful.
There’s the home built 8ltr Dodge Viper V10 motorcycle Allen Millyard built here in the UK. You should come over and ask him for a go Sean.
Like the Tomahawk?
At half throttle the Milyard Viper bike does 200 mph... 0-60 in the blink of an eye. It has a 1 speed drivetrain...
Ain't nothing like the Millyard viper bike.
@@richardstoffel6585 The Tomahawk has 2 wheels at the front and 2 at the back, so I would suggest it isn't really a motorcycle.
The Millyard build is laid out more 'conventionally' (if that term applies...) with a single wheel at each end. Allen has just started uploading vidoes of how he built it... ruclips.net/video/ZtRnAI1jHao/видео.html
Wow, the sound from that big block is just mesmerizing. 🥰
Some guy thats not all that far from SRK has a custom boss hoss trike with a Cummins in it i believe
i need it
@@BikesandBeards buy it!
He needs it!
@@BikesandBeards go make a video on it
Rolling coal on a trike....nice
His 2017 personal Boss Hoss is absolutely beautiful!
My vulcan 2000's motor has more displacement then my rav4 but this is a whole new level.
"Only 500 horsepower" on a motorcycle
500hp is insane even in a car
😱 insane
Well you know... If you REALLY wanted to "Get Stupid" you could always have a turbocharger or super charger on it and add NOS!!!!
@@thomaspigg306 You should work for Boss Hoss 😊👍
@@kermit8619 : I wanted to but they wouldn't hire me when they found out I was released from a "Looney-Bin". Something about insurance costs and the mental strain I'd put on the other employees. I dunno, so I wished them a "Happy Day", went back out to my rig and started driving again. At least the cops didn't look at me with a "Sour Face" when I told them about my "Stint in the joint" 🙃🤪😜😝😊😀😁😂🤣🤣🤣
Nothing more American then a Boss Hoss... That thing is a beast!
That's complete bullshit. The most American thing is slavery. Also, a friendly reminder that America is a large group of islands that span 2 continents, and anything on said islands is American.
Typical American stuff..ridicilous:)
@@joe125ful *US
@@LeakyTrees ??
@@joe125ful You said American when you clearly meant the US. I'm pretty sure no other place on the American continents manufacture and sell V8 motorcycles.
This is just a great and enjoyable review of these bikes! I have heard of these years ago, but this is the first review I have seen. Everything I wanted to know, you have reviewed it! Thank you for the review and the fun entertainment in watching you enjoy your ride! Peace!
Best motorcycle ever made as far as I'm concerned! Reliability at its best
Sean fired up the big block Boss Hoss and all I could think was “sounds like Independence from Vice Grip Garage”. But it’s a motorcycle. Insane. I loike it.
Ngl him giving his wife the milk and eggs was wholesome
After seeing the 92 boss hoss, last night I had a dream of driving one. That 600hp looks amazing. I wish I could have the chance to drive one
I just realized us boys never grow up and our wives see us as children.
Uh, what's that old saying, Oh Yeah; "The only difference between men and boys are the price of their toys!!!".
And the tolerance of the wife. LOL 😂
@@stephenbrown571 amen@that i know im a hot mess.
And your problem with that is what ???
I'm a 68 year old grandma, I ride a Dyna, and I want to check out a Boss Hoss. Move over boys, I'm coming through.
the sound reverberating off the wall knocked over the pool thing in the back from the big block 😭😭
My father has the trike boss hoss with the 57 Chevy bellair rear with the rear storage, it’s a pretty neat bike
Him and my mother have taking it cross country several times
Unique bike for sure
I have a 502 Kannon. I love it! It’s actually very easy to ride, smooth and pleasant. Gets a little scary when the rear tire breaks loose, otherwise it’s easier to ride than a Harley bagger In my opinion.
Wow super rare
DUDE !! Put a turbo on your boss hoss. 😁 he said his Harley was fast an then i said braaappppp lol nice one. 500 hp on 2 wheels is insane. Killer vid.
What about twins?
@@SacrificeForYourSins now that would be scary lol
Or just get a stock hayabusa....0-60 is a LOT faster, it's a lot lighter, gets better fuel economy as well.
8:05 the rumble of the big block knocked something in the background over lol
That bike looks and seems completely AWESOME! I was impressed when I gave the 2017 HD Freewheeler a test ride, with its 1747 cc (106 ci) engine, but your Boss is generating even more power. That's incredible!
I would love an explanation, description, of what the transmission and shifting is like. Are they automatics? I’ve owned and rode bikes for 50 years but never a beast like those. Love it!
Yes, I believe they are all automatics now.
If I recall correctly, the earlier ones had a two speed power glide. Not sure what they use now.
Beginner rider: looks for a beginner bike
Sean : This is a Starter Boss Hoss (2:00)
Beginner : *doubts existance*
When are you going to pick up a 2020 Rocket? I can't wait to get your take on it! 0 - 60 in 2.7 secs and its my daily commuter. The Boss Hoss looks and sound ace by the way! Great Vid as always.
The acceleration you must feel reminds me of how I felt when I had my Suzuki M109R...the pull on that bike was tremendous. THESE Boss Hoss bikes must feel like a jet fighter doing Mach I.
8:06 rake in the background fell over from the power
I remember back in the day a dude rolled up on one down at Biloxi Mississippi during a bike rally. It was an old school one with a small block Chevy 350. That thing was HUGE!! But man did it sound good
I am really sad to see a digital gauge has replaced the 13 beautiful analog gauges. Bring back the gauges!
Ah yes, I travel on a “closed track” on my way to work everyday. Sure is a nice thing to have access to. 😀
An interesting collection of motorcycles in the garage
Why aren’t they advertised online for sale ?
Those big block ones gave me a little chubbie but that trike was instant love.... That thing is Beautiful¡! 😍❤️
6:45 - Best David Spade impression I’ve heard in a while!
Absolutely!!!!
No!, you'll still have to do those things except you can do them closer together... Cause you'll be at your destination at "Light Speed"!!!
Ya know everyone tries to say a turbo busa is the best starter bike. I'd have to disagree and say the 600hp boss hoss is the best starter bike. Its got everything you need and then some lol. And its comfortable lol.
I agree. You want something that you can grow into. You'll outgrow a turbo busa real quick
@@wigletron2846 absolutely, it'll take you a bit longer to outgrow the boss hoss.
@@parkersgarage4216 I'm thinking about throwing a Maggie on the boss hoss. Should hold me over for a few more weeks
@@wigletron2846 DO IT!!!!! When you tire of that time for compound boost 🤣 🤣 🤣
I think the maintenance on the boss boss will mostly be tires, wheel bearings, suspension, and breaks.
That weight has to take a toll on those things.
Transmission....by far is the fragile part of these bikes
Lmfao, a frickin hellcat boss hoss would be insane, I love it!!!
Best bike channel in RUclips!!
Bro when you fired up that big block, hell yeah I was laughing so hard
Wow!! I don't know what is, but my favorite is the '92!! It's the same with me and 80's dirt bikes. I'm more attracted to the old high profile tanks on the 80's- early 90's bikes.
I love Boss Hoss. Never owned one, I cannot afford it but sure as hell I would love the possibility to buy one.
That rectangular fan in front is a design killer, it's got to go.
Under that chrome is a radiator. It's very necessary to keep from overheating, not gonna get very far without it.
I love the "nnyeuuugh" every time he accelerates lol
I laughed every time.
Nice to see them, glad they are making them, but I find all three of my cruisers are faster where it counts, lighter weight and more fuel efficient, however I do like that trike alot, that should be boss hog's it's calling
That big block is the baddest V8 motorcycle I have ever seen, and man I laughed with excitement with ya!
That chocolate milk look had me laughing my ass off
I get that look regularly and for the same reason!
the flame when you tared the big block
Can see myself rounding up livestock on top that trike. Gidday from Melbourne stage 4 lockdown Australia.
Are you sure Comrade Dan would want you on here enjoying yourself !? Ha ha ha
To hell with lockdowns. It's time for this lunacy to end.
I got to try one very slowly down Brighton strip. Fella swore blind all the weight disappeared as soon as you move. He was right , handled real nice... and I was a litre sport bike guy back then. Bit large for our roads here unfortunately. Lovely bikes tho. So well-made
That trike reminds me of that old movie "Silver Bullet". Good stuff brother!
When are we going to see a motorcycle with a submarine engine?...
I hope they can find a motorcycle with one of these fighter plane engines, you know, the star shaped ones.
they did that last week
That's what hyosung bikes use
I had a range rover which had a perkins 4203 in it as used in a midget submarine used at end of ww2
I saw a one off bike that had a massive v8 from a semi in it. Detroit diesel 8v53 I believe. It was beyond obnoxious.
I’d hate to get into a dangerous situation where I had to stop fast on that heavy thing. I wonder if they have antilock brakes.
That air intake looks just like the AC we had installed to cool our house...
My 81 CB900F was tougher to pick up than any of my GLs'. Always likes the Boss bikes, loud, ridiculously over the top, complete opposite of my current rides.
