It really is a shame that for their last season ever, they decided to waste precious time going over what happened between Kenny and Devon, just for it to be resolved by a simple, "It's okay." It was just such a useless situation that ended in a very useless way. They also wasted too much time on Dimitri being mad at Hawk for not applying for MIT. It was just so stupid and immature. At one point, I kept asking why Dimitri was even there. He never was a useful character, and if anything, he was just annoying. It should have been Kenny over Dimitri if they wanted Devon to be there so badly. It was just not the best way to go about their last season.
I fully agree with kenny being there instead of dimitri, but I think the point of cobra kai is to show their human side; these guys are literally kids, being trained by (in some cases) nut jobs, seeing them squabble over little things makes the show more realistic, along with kenny being able to forgive devon because i'm sure he already feels like a punishment was given - ik it was to anthony but once they made up, kenny had gotten rid of his anger about the situation making it easier to forgive devon
Kwon remind me of young Chozen being arrogant and cocky not only that Chozen wanted to die but he end up living and Kwon wanted to live but he end up dying.
4:33 this shows Kreese sees his students for what they can do for him, he says what he wants them to hear but ready to throw them away for a better option In season 2 he would mentor Hawk and eventually he fully took the dojo and Hawk was under his influence then when he got a hold of Robby it’s like Hawk was just not there he was more focused on Robby
I think the main reason Kwon lost is because of his over reliance on his fancy spins and kicks. Almost every time he went up against anyone we actually were introduced to, they tended to dodge or block his attacks because of how easy it became to see them coming. Against Robby if he'd just stopped with the theatrics and just fought seriously, he probably could've won, not saying WOULDVE but COULDVE. Against Axel, he had no chance, his fighting style was too all around and Kwon's was pretty one note.
Kwon has himself to blame plus according to the Season 6 Part 3 leaks there were scenes of Kwon's ghost haunting Kreese MAster KIm Da EUn and the other miyagi do students
@@BrandonweifuDaniel and Johnny are also at fault for involving their Kids and other Teens in their Rivalry to begin with having them fight their Battles for them.

Something to add: Footage emerged which shows the filming of Kwon s death. The camera angle is different, and you can clearly see he hit Axel in the stomach with this spinning back kick. But Axel also took a kick from Yoon to the stomach, he takes that without being hurt. And you also see two other Cobra Kai guys attacked Axel after Kwon fell in the knife, and he just destroyed them with ease. That was in the moment when we saw the faces of Daniel, Silver and Kreese.
HEY MAN LOVE THE CONTENT AND THE TYPES OF PICTURES YOU DESCRIBE THE FIGHTER EXAMPLE KWON IS DANGEROUS AND YOU PUT A COBRA KAI NEXT TO HIM LOVE IT MAN KEEP IT UP PLEASE
I actually liked Kwon and was looking forward to see more of his character. The guy was badass, arrogant and cocky too. Shame he was killed off so soon to further the story.
All I could think of that in a sequel series focusing on Miyagi-Do is that Chozen and Kim Da-Eun will eventually have a son named Jason Toguchi, in which I think is the perfect casting choice by having Brandon H. Lee return Jason Toguchi will be the captain of Miyagi-Do from Okinawa directly under his dad, Chozen.
Calling the Robbie vs Axel fight in part three a "rematch", is a little bit of a distortion. Technically, it's a CONTINUATION of the match that was never completed. Sorry I'm nitpicking here.
I still don't think Kwon died, redemption is the overarching theme of Cobra Kai.. I think he is gravely injured and it becomes the catalyst to mass redemption, for Dae-Un , Kreese, and Kwon. And the series ends with Cobra Kai led by Johnny backed by the redeemed villains and respected by his arch enemy Daniel LaRusso..
@dely5893 true, but producers put out bad information all the time in an attempt to quell rumors and start different ones. SDCC is riddled with that every year.. it's probably wishful thinking on my part admittedly.. But, a boy can dream lol
Kwon should have more screentime in part 1 but they didn't they focus on stupid devon and kenny like background characters who has nothing add to in the story
What was Kwon gonna do with this extra screen time throw eggs at Robby? You give a character too much screen time for no reason then he’ll be boring Kwon did his job as a character and he died Kenny and Devon’s moment may have been rushed because they have shit to do and they also know how to get the hell over things
It was kwons own fault for how he died. He was already cocky and arrogant when he met kreese in korea . His rage , arrogance and desperation to win at all costs is what made Kwon fall on the sword ( literally and figuratively speaking)
They should of made it that he assassinated Axel on camera and goes straight to prison where other iron dragons may be locked up at for assault or whatever could be and in a way organized crime. That's where Kwon beats their asses and cobra kai ultimately wins back what miyagi-do took in the 80s. Netflix should hire me as a write. Also, Kwon busts out with the help of the other cobras and as leader he escapes to South Korea bringing honor to his grandfather.
The Thing is the Knife wasn't necessary because Kwon had Axel set up almost perfectly for a knock out. If Kwons Left Leg wouldn't have gotten caught by Axels Sweep then he would've landed that Kick on Axels Head knocking out Axel.
Kwon is such a good character Forget the morality and the redemption and whatever , his ability to bring out specific aspects of the story’s core themes is fucking great
I agree that Axel likely won't face repercussions. We can also count on Tiger Strike and Kreese facing consequences. Not only did Tiger Strike start the brawl, but Kreese brought a dangerous weapon to a sports arena where the only weapons allowed there, were bo staffs.

Then bro gets absolutely embarrassed by Robby proving that he was never a serious threat, then they bring him back just to get embarrassed by Robby again in a 2 v 1, then gets humiliated again by Axel, just to end up stabbing himself like an idiot. Bro was an absolute disappointment and he went out in the sorriest way possible
Imo Kwon got what he deserved. He was an uncontrolable psychopath and wanted to kill Robby as revenge for losing to him. He would have killed Sam and Tory too if they tried to stop him when he was stomping on Robby, and he wanted to kill Axel too since he knew he cant beat him in a normal fight, so he took the knife. Axel was basically the "hero" (even if he isnt a hero) for all of them. In the end he protected many people from a guy who was out of control and ready to kill. And maybe all of this is a hint what did happen in Miyagi s case back in the day. Back then: Miyagi vs Claramunt: Death Today: Kovacevic vs Kwon: Death Maybe Miyagi's opponent Claramunt was like Kwon, that he freaked out and was a danger for others. Miyagi always said karate is to "defend yourself and protecting otehrs", and maybe he did this there. He defended himself and protected others from a raging pyscho like Kwon was, and his name was Claramunt. About 7:40: Yes I think Kwon s kick hit Axel a bit in the stomach, it was a mixture of block and hit. But like we saw against Yoon, these kind of kicks dont hurt him. He winced a bit but wasnt hurt by it and ready to continiue. About Kreese: I think he and Silver learned their lesson now. This Cobra Kai no mercy BS leads to the death at some point. They both looked so shocked. Wolff wasnt there, seems it didnt touch him at all.

He wasn't irredeemable. The antagonists of each Karate Kid film almost killed Daniel at some point. Chozen was arguably just as bad as he held a knife towards Kumiko's neck and threatened to do other things.
@@TheIndulging Also, while teen Chozen was indeed bad He at the very least you could see where his anger and hatred came from, with it being fueled by his own uncle/mentor’s anger and hatred Kwon isn’t shown to have had that kind of influence/life From what we’ve seen, his life hasn’t been any harder than the other korean students like Yoon
@pepito2847 You claim he doesn't have that source / influence while his Senseis are literally the founders of the No Mercy philosophy. man I still hate that Kwon died. literally their dojang was training “the viper attack” suppose to penetrate the most advanced of defense, I feel like if anyone could’ve gone through axel it should’ve been him. honestly they should’ve done the death differently if they wanted one , it should’ve showed how much more skilled they were , not saying axel is an easy opponent by any means , but he’s literally exactly what they were training for . if anything I feel like axel should’ve died , but I also get how Kwon dying isn’t shock value and will affect the other fighters , like axel will prolly hold back now bc he thinks he’s responsible. but still rip the homie Kwon 😔 should’ve never been you
Kreese... Gather the dragonballs. We need to bring Kwon back.
This comment made my day 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It really is a shame that for their last season ever, they decided to waste precious time going over what happened between Kenny and Devon, just for it to be resolved by a simple, "It's okay." It was just such a useless situation that ended in a very useless way.
I mean we still got 5 episodes left, there's a lot of time for things to be tied up and an ending to be made
Kwon remind me of young Chozen being arrogant and cocky not only that Chozen wanted to die but he end up living and Kwon wanted to live but he end up dying.
Kwon was much worse than Chozen. Even I thought Chozen was the worst villain back then. But Kwon would’ve definitely killed Daniel in KKII
4:33 this shows Kreese sees his students for what they can do for him, he says what he wants them to hear but ready to throw them away for a better option
In season 2 he would mentor Hawk and eventually he fully took the dojo and Hawk was under his influence then when he got a hold of Robby it’s like Hawk was just not there he was more focused on Robby
that is called selfishness my friend...
Man I love this character I wish he could come back for season 7
What season 7?
Imagine what Johnny would do if Both Robby and Miguel died in the Brawl, and then Carmen, The Unborn baby, and Yaya Rosa all died same night.
Against Axel, he had no chance, his fighting style was too all around and Kwon's was pretty one note.
tbf them spin kicks had robby looking more lost than a protagonist in a horror movie
@ Spins like that ARE usually a distraction tactic and to confuse the opponent as to which leg will strike.
@@kairasendo1175 yeah
K'won is very similar to how Vegeta was in the early arcs of DBZ especially after he became super saiyan for the first time
What’s crazy is today I was thinking the actor Brandon Lee would make a great live action Vegeta.

Kwon has himself to blame plus according to the Season 6 Part 3 leaks there were scenes of Kwon's ghost haunting Kreese MAster KIm Da EUn and the other miyagi do students
Oh shit
No,the adults who should have guided him on a better path take a good chunk of the blame
@@BrandonweifuDaniel and Johnny are also at fault for involving their Kids and other Teens in their Rivalry to begin with having them fight their Battles for them.
@@BumblebeeTuna8 yea
@@BumblebeeTuna8Johnny didn’t care about Daniel. He just wanted to help Miguel and then Daniel saw that Johnny reopened cobra Kai and basically vowed to tear it down which led to everything that has happened.
Kreese pushed him on and told him to be heartless, Kwon did that. His cockiness, overconfidence and arrogance got him killed
HEY MAN LOVE THE CONTENT AND THE TYPES OF PICTURES YOU DESCRIBE THE FIGHTER EXAMPLE KWON IS DANGEROUS AND YOU PUT A COBRA KAI NEXT TO HIM
LOVE IT MAN KEEP IT UP PLEASE
I actually liked Kwon and was looking forward to see more of his character. The guy was badass, arrogant and cocky too. Shame he was killed off so soon to further the story.
I dont think Kwon was ever going to kill axel if he was he was probably gonna throw the knife he wanted
Kwon was my favorite new character bro😢
All I could think of that in a sequel series focusing on Miyagi-Do is that Chozen and Kim Da-Eun will eventually have a son named Jason Toguchi, in which I think is the perfect casting choice by having Brandon H. Lee return
Jason Toguchi will be the captain of Miyagi-Do from Okinawa directly under his dad, Chozen.
The cobra kai team will probably be severely criticized for their student using a knife to kill a contender. Their reputation will likely suffer.
Kwon was basically Chozen but trained under Kreese
Great analysis man. Can you please do a video on Sam & how she can gain the closure she needs?
Calling the Robbie vs Axel fight in part three a "rematch", is a little bit of a distortion. Technically, it's a CONTINUATION of the match that was never completed. Sorry I'm nitpicking here.
Yes, but the match is more likely done as a redo, since it was never finished... as in a rematch. ;)
Ye
Don’t doubt what your eyes have already seen. Kwon is dead.
the producers confirmed that he is gone so....
@dely5893 true, but producers put out bad information all the time in an attempt to quell rumors and start different ones. SDCC is riddled with that every year.. it's probably wishful thinking on my part admittedly.. But, a boy can dream lol
Can't believe what happened to him ..
i swear i had nightmares after watching that scene
Kwon should have more screentime in part 1 but they didn't they focus on stupid devon and kenny like background characters who has nothing add to in the story
Agreed and Demetri also.
What was Kwon gonna do with this extra screen time throw eggs at Robby? You give a character too much screen time for no reason then he’ll be boring
Kwon did his job as a character and he died
Kenny and Devon’s moment may have been rushed because they have shit to do and they also know how to get the hell over things
Kenney is actually good tho
Kenny was good but Devon yeah I agree with you on that they should at least give kwon a backstory and more development
@ maybe we’ll get a backstory in part 3
It was kwons own fault for how he died. He was already cocky and arrogant when he met kreese in korea . His rage , arrogance and desperation to win at all costs is what made Kwon fall on the sword ( literally and figuratively speaking)
Major bonus points for the KA reference 6:08!!❤
They should of made it that he assassinated Axel on camera and goes straight to prison where other iron dragons may be locked up at for assault or whatever could be and in a way organized crime. That's where Kwon beats their asses and cobra kai ultimately wins back what miyagi-do took in the 80s.
Netflix should hire me as a write. Also, Kwon busts out with the help of the other cobras and as leader he escapes to South Korea bringing honor to his grandfather.
The fact Kreme ram away from jail and might go to jail again he is going to be in so much trouble lol
The Thing is the Knife wasn't necessary because Kwon had Axel set up almost perfectly for a knock out. If Kwons Left Leg wouldn't have gotten caught by Axels Sweep then he would've landed that Kick on Axels Head knocking out Axel.
Damn that's nice to know
Really shows how fucked over by his teachings and own distortion he was
@@dragonballoblivion8273 Kreese is at fault, he should've left that Eundangjo in his GI instead of bringing it on the Mat where Chaos ensued.
Kwon is such a good character
Forget the morality and the redemption and whatever , his ability to bring out specific aspects of the story’s core themes is fucking great
For im blaming kreese
Ya Kreese broke out of an American prison
I agree that Axel likely won't face repercussions. We can also count on Tiger Strike and Kreese facing consequences. Not only did Tiger Strike start the brawl, but Kreese brought a dangerous weapon to a sports arena where the only weapons allowed there, were bo staffs.
Some people say it's Eve's fault for eating an apple several years prior.
I’ve got a question can you make a playlist of the cobra Kai analysis videos
You shouldn't title the video that, you're spoiling Kwon dying before people even click on the video.
What happened to him at the end scared me.
I feel Kwon had to die in order for kreese to fully redeem himself kwon’s death will show kreese the error’s of his teachings this is where the no mercy philosophy will get u a cold dark grave unfortunately Kwon had to be the sacrifice kreese is 100% to blame for his death 1 it was his teachings of fighting with rage and anger and fighting heartless that got Kwon killed
2 he dropped the eujangdo which Kwon picked up overall Kwon was a great villain definitely wished he would’ve got redeemed 35 yrs later like Johnny chozen and Mike but hey u can’t save everyone 🙏
I don't really want him to be redeemed
But I would've like to see him be successful. Watching him get In everyone's faces and fuck with is something I would watch for a long long time
1,000th like. Glad to be that mark for the character
Kreese took one of terry’s lessons and used it on Robby exploiting weaknesses he knew Robby weakness was Tory dat why he had Kwon do wat he did
who?? theres no one to blame but himself, theres no one he can blame but himself either 😂 the dude had plenty of chances to let it go and realize that shallow petty beef was complete nonsense but he persisted due to his arrogance
All this doesnt happen if johnny never restarted cobra kai. Johnnny is the real villain! (Play on daniel is real bully)
Daniel is the one who enabled Johnny to restart cobra Kai. At first Johnny was just going to teach Miguel karate
@@jwilliams7554no, he was just going to live his normal shitty life again, Miguel would still get bullied, Daniel would still be recognized and succesful.
I can’t wait for Axel
kwon was the cause of his own death
My favorite character of season 6
Kim's dad is gonna be pissed at Krease.
u mean grandpa
Should have practised knife fighting.
Why's no one talking about the fact kreese tried to kill Terry Silver??
Why would we
It's predictable and very in line with his character
What's interesting is how that directly transferred to Kwon in front of him and fucked him over
Kwon is a bum, bro was hyped up so much in the 1st part just to immediately lose to a new character in the first match, immediately making any of his cockiness and confidence just arrogance.
Pretty good take
This is actually sad if kwon had a teacher like Johnny or Daniel or chosen he probably be the best fighter
Could've been interesting to see his redemption.
Brandon did an amazing job of embracing the arrogant antagonist! His attitude, body language, everything was awesome! I loved hating him!

@@BloodWolfyI get dark humor, but yeah it was just you.
I mean, I laughed a little because I am so used to watching action and horror movies
Kwon new nickname Prince Cobra
I really hope that it was just Daniel illusion but will see in part 3
Man I wanted to see Tori and kwon go at it
Imo Kwon got what he deserved.
Back then: Miyagi vs Claramunt: Death
Today: Kovacevic vs Kwon: Death
Maybe Miyagi's opponent Claramunt was like Kwon, that he freaked out and was a danger for others.
Wolff wasnt there, seems it didnt touch him at all.
no kid deserves death at the end of the day kwon is a misguided teenager
Tory and chosen where psychopaths aswell and do you wish death on them aswell?
@@mafiagrim I never felt Tory and Chozen were like Kwon. Even when Tory went after Sam with the spiked bracelet or nunchaku, I never had the feeling for one second she really wanted to kill her, only hurt her very much. And when Sam took the bo, it was weapon vs weapon.
And even if Chozen fought Daniel to the death, he didnt take a knife to do it.
Kwon fought against an unarmed Axel, and he took the knife and went after him to kill him. Kwon was imo much more a psycho like Tory and Chozen. But of course you dont have to agree.
The point is if you take a knife with the intention to kill someone, expect you can die. And thats what did happen to him.
@ Tory was gonna punch Sam’s throat with the bracelet if that’s not attempted murder idk what is
@@mafiagrim No she didnt. The fight is here on YT and you can see it. She pulled Sam on her hairs and pulled her head back, telling her about no mercy, but then you see in the moment before she stirkes, she pulls her head to the right and aimed for her face (the side of her face to give her a big cut). Sam blocked it.
@@chrisbach1533 and what movement with the knife implied kwon was gonna kill axel?
Bro packed himself 🤦♂️
@StryfetheWarrior Kwon was gifted but asinine but morally (Legally as well) Kreese is liable: Why bring a knife at the tournament?
It's one thing to bring it on Vacation it's another Thing to bring it around Kids especially at an Arena during a Kids Competition.
And yet they allow weapons in the tournament 😂😂😂😂😂.
@@juanrodriguez5404 Still.....Kreese can still be in hot water
@@kenroycherrington148 yeah good luck with that 😂
4:25-4:38 That’s a VERY good point
The fact that the most Kreese did for Tory this season was tell her to play nice instead of giving her more productive advice on how to be a team player and also focused more on harnessing Kwon’s already sinister and ruthless nature
Shows how ignorant and self serving Big John really was
Still, even though I believe “No such things as bad student only bad teacher” will always have a level of validity
Kwon still honestly went to a low that no other teen went to
Kwon was easily the most irredeemable teen in the franchise even if you could argue that him dying is the reason why we will never see if he could ever be redeemed
He wasn't irredeemable. The antagonists of each Karate Kid film almost killed Daniel at some point. Chozen was arguably just as bad as he held a knife towards Kumiko's neck and threatened to do other things.
@ Fair
Like I said, he could have changed my mind of he didn’t act recklessly, leading to his death
@@TheIndulging Also, while teen Chozen was indeed bad
He at the very least you could see where his anger and hatred came from, with it being fueled by his own uncle/mentor’s anger and hatred
Kwon isn’t shown to have had that kind of influence/life
From what we’ve seen, his life hasn’t been any harder than the other korean students like Yoon
@pepito2847 You claim he doesn't have that source / influence while his Senseis are literally the founders of the No Mercy philosophy. Kim Sun Yung who is probably the most evil character introduced along with Kreese.
We can assume he's been training just as long as Yoon has, likely his whole life. You don't think a lifetime with those kinds of people will shape you to be a little unhinged?
If anything Kwon has more justification to act that way compared to anyone else lmao.
@ But again
Kwon wasn’t the only student that had to go through those corrupt teachings and philosophies, his teammates also did
Do you see them picking up knives and cowardly trying to use it?!
No
Now maybe “irredeemable” wasn’t the right word for me to use since Kwon didn’t get the chance to show potential for being redeemed
So let me rephrase
Kwon had the least redeeming QUALITIES of the teens in the franchise
Is Cobrai Kai actually over with a cliffhanger?
Yeah. It was the last episode. They show is called Cobra Kai, so natually Kwon was the main character.
They kill kwon because the need to mentally break axel
We don't know that for sure yet.
@@StryfetheWarriordo you think kwon can beat Robby and Miguel

Thats kwon fault for even taking it in the first place. What if that didn't happen and he killed Axel on live TV?
It's both Kwon and Kreese's fault. The eunjangdo would've never come into play if Kreese never brought it with him.
