I tried gasoline on a similar situation with removing velcro glue after removing a velcro strip .... I would never have thought of using gasoline .... but it WORKED very very well on my project! Thank you for the very helpful suggestion. Fantastic!
Thank you. I was hoping to find a cheap home remedy to remove a black adhesive that fell off the windshield after the rear view mirror was reattached several years ago. The repair is still holding up but the Texas sun caused some of the adhesive to fall on the floor mat and passenger door and the more I rubbed with soapy water the worst it got. The gasoline got it off completely and quickly with just a few drops. Thanks again.
Dash covers are nice but for safety reasons better not put anything on your dashboard cos it blocks the airbags. Better save your life than your dashboard.
Update: used the Gas Method, I did not do much for Super glue AKA Crazy glue. This is not the same as a sticky glue Super glue gets hard like a rock, so this gas method won't work if you are looking to remove Super Glue AKA Crazy Glue. I will have to give Gas a try with a Q-Tip as I am only trying to remove the excess glue from the cracked Area I Fixed. WD-40 takes to damn long :o/ It didn't remove much if any at all, and all I was trying to remove was Crazy Glue, AKA Super Glue.
@@sysda1 I just bought a cover for the dash and called it a day. It had way to many cracks on the dash. I need a new dash or a full dash repair if it's even possible and probably too expensive.
@@sysda1 Imagine if we all just get a new car when our dashes crack? Most would be broke. 😂 I only have 75k on my FX45 so it's just worth buying a clean dash for it? Then maybe not, because what's not to stop that new dash from cracking since it was most likely made many years ago?. I think I would rather try one of those dash cover replacements that look exactly like your dash and go glued on. That's probably the best option.
Camera person , take a Valium and call me in the morning. ...... Just kidding ! Good information , Thanks . I've been looking for a strong glue for bare Velcro tape. Peace
Camera guy try to fix the camera as much as you can, but in general thank you for the effort, watch out from an open gasoline gallon and too close to you guys
soloflight1975 DW40 is slower, I just tried it. I was trying to remove crazy glue and it removed very little of it of any, I sprayed it on my finger and let it sit on the glue area, then wiped it, not much luck. I will give it another shot as it may just be a slow process, If not u will try the gas with a QTip.
if any of those fumes make theyr way to an ingnition source from a door being open or an overhead light , there will be a major explosion and people will burn.

Fits dash cover to protect dash, glues it on and destroys dash in the process. What goes through peoples minds.

Thanks ur child for me .
He did a good job recording.
So the previous owner decided to protect the dashboard by destroying the dashboard.
So the dash cover did the opposite

Camera person needs to relax.
