Regarding fit; if you go by CM size, they are true to size (length). I've come to largely disregard US/Euro sizing as CM is the only one that actually uses actual foot size; the rest are all manufacturer's interpretation of conversion to equivalent sizes. Measure foot in CM and add 1.0 to 1.5 cm for toe space. Last five pair of shoes I purchased were US 11.5, 12.5, 12.5, 12 and 12 with disparate EU sizes, but all were 29.5 to 30.0 CM. Icon 2 was medium heel, narrow mid and forefoot, and medium to narrow toe box, so guessing not the best for wide feet. Work okay for my narrow foot coming from several Asics 12.5 which also tend to run narrow, but wish there was more toebox width and hoping they loosen a bit over time..
Good review as always. I tried Diadora b icon ag (first time trying this brand and got on sale luckily) and wasn’t that impressed. Durability of outsole is good but I can’t feel anything when moving as if it’s too cushioned. No ground feel whatsoever. Support decent but man those things get hot! Wouldn’t go back and was not that impressed..
Great review on a great shoe! One of my three favorite shoes out there for all-court players with the Mizuno Enforce and the Babolat Jet Mach 3. Sounds like Diadora made the B.Icon even better. Interested to see what your Top 5 list will look like this year - it will be a much deeper field than any year I can remember in some time.
@@jimbo3030 Lately, I have been really liking the Lacoste AG LT-23 Ultra (if you can find them), the Yonex Eclipsion 5 (if you can find them), and the Jet Mach 3 (which have become to GOAT for pickleball apparently, so also now hard to find). They all three seem to have the best blend of comfort, ventilation, quickness, and STABILITY (a real priority for me and my very flat feet).
Couple of things. Diadora changed the sizing going from version 1 to version 2 for the US sizing (and for the US sizing only). The equivalent of a ver 1 10.5 is a ver 2 11.0 now. This was a good move by Diadora to make B.Icon more true to size (a lot of folks had to go half a size down with the original B.Icon). Diadora has also made changes to the shoe making it less comfortable, most notably the uppers especially in the forefoot are more rigid now and you wont' get the same running shoe feeling the original version had. My toes and forefoot feel numb and slightly in pain just wearing the ver 2 around the house. The weight has also increased by about 40 grams. None of these is mentioned in this review.
What a sweet upgrade! I know you had to standardise the testing for the URS but would have loved to see what the shuttle test just to see if it did as awesome as the 1s (i wanna say it scored like a 14.33 or something outstanding). Usually a maximalist dude but these appeal to me! I'll prob pick these up or get the 1s on the cheao and then upgrade to these!
Solid review. Definitely need to look into these, love the bigger heal space…just can’t seem to find a good tennis shoe these days that fit my weird feet (high arch, use aetrex insole)
Thanks for the video, Zach! Question for you, in diadoras if the arch section is initially compressing will they break in? The high arch of a lot of nike’s are the reason I can’t wear them.
Hello from Brazil, I would like a review of Converse BB Prototype and Jordan Stay Loyal 2 tennis shoes, and maybe there will be a comparison 🤔🤗 I really liked the channel
How would you compare these to the Gel Resolution 9s? In terms of stability for those of us with glass ankles, and shock absorption. For speed, clearly you feel these are better.
I got the Icon 1 and they are perfect. Tried the 2s in a store and they seemed way too wide and stiff in the toe box. I have a medium foot and Diadoras tend to run too wide for me except Icon 1. Seems Diadora wend back to wide toe box with the 2s so won’t be for me anymore.
I must have gotten a defective pair. I love the b icon 1. Bought the b icon 2 and my toes did not fit in the toe box the same way as the 1’s and caused me pain.
@@andrewwarren7826 Thanks! Good to know I’m not alone with that issue. Hope they fix it in the next refresh because I think I’ve just about exhausted sources for the 1!
Longtime B Icon 1 wearer. You have to go up 1/2 size in the 2's. The new 2s sizing changed and you have to go 1/2 size up. But even with the 1/2 size up, I got massive blisters on outside of little toes and inside of big toes. The toe box must have narrowed. I've worn and loved 3-4 pairs of the Icon 1s without this issue.
Former longtime Barricade wearer (13.5) and been wearing the Icon 1's in 14. Felt like the cushioning in the Icons were much more plush than the Barricades but that could have just been new shoe bias. They didn't have 13.5 when I bought the Icon 1's so curious how if 13.5 in the Icon 2's will fit better or if I'll have to continue with 14. Got a 14 and 13.5 coming soon to try on.
@@thepathnotfound After wearing, do prefer the 1s better. Ordered the latter and played immediately in them and they were great. The 2s feel clunky regular size and need to tie them all the way up. Glad I found the 1s on Amazon
I'd like to know how firm the sole and upper of this B.Icon 2 are, respectively. Yes, you read it right and I type it right. I don't want something like New Balance Foam X (owner of Lav 2) sole which is super comfortable and very good if used for running. However, for tennis, the Foam X actually substantially hinders the effectiveness of quick turn. I prefer something like Coco Gauff signature CG1 much more (also owner of CG1). Firm sole but still blend with some kind of cushioning. Also the Lav 2 upper, particularly the lateral portion, is kind of too soft for me. It makes my feet muscle constantly in tension trying to "grab" the shoes during the game and make my feet feel sore and tired just after about 30~40 min. of playing. I prefer something more armor-feel upper like Court FF 2 (yup, again, owner of Court FF 2) or the really old day Adidas Barricades.

Hey Zach! Got a pair of Blushield Torneo during last Black Friday sale because of your review! My feet are singing praises to you sir!
YESSSSS!!!! I was waiting to see your review on the V2 of the B.icoh as i have had two of the V1 THX!!!!!!!!
How do you like the shoe?
I played in the ASICS SS 2 but thought there are a ton of shoes let’s try something else and atm I really enjoyed the SS 2
Always cool to see Diadora and also to see something 'breaking' the test.
Great review 💪🏿🧠
Cannot wait for the review of the Li-Ning Liren (Sharp Edge III) V2,
Those are 🔥💯💥☄️

Your top 3 are the same as mine. It’s a shame the jet mach 3 get worn out so much faster than the other 2

The Version one has more of a responsive feel? I assume based from your response you like the V1 over the v2?
It would be interesting if you compare it to the vapor 9.5

I have a pair of b icon 1 and am interested in b icon 2. Is the fit of the 2 length-wise a bit short compared to the 1? Thanks.
that midsole looks similar to the Lotto Raptor, which maybe explains why it is so comfortable

Amazing review, a lot of solid options to choose from this year!
Hi, should I go for Torneo 2 or B.icon 2? How do they differ?
Hello foot doctor, can you please review PEAK's Taichi Shoe technology? they are very comfortable. more than boost i think.
Can you please review the under armor lockdown 6? Great video btw
Hi Zach, how does the b icon2 compares to the ASICS gel resolution 9?
Please review the peak AW 1 and the rigorer sniper 2

Similar stability but now nearly the cushion
@@FootDoctorZach meaning GR9 more cushioned?

Hmm I was the exact opposite vs the 1s
Can you do Curry 2 Flotro soon please

Yeah it should be pretty much the same fit
I agree 100%. longtime 1 wearer and had to return the 2s due to massive blisters even with the 1/2 size up

Could you review the curry 2 retro?
Can you review the wade fission 8
Can you do a world balance ST1?
How do these compare to the torneo in stability and durability?
I don't even play tennis and I still watch the reviews 😂
I don't play basketball (no handles) and but watch his hoop reviews too 😅
You're the real MVP's
why do these look like hoop shoes?
Tennis and Basketball shoes share a lot of the same DNA.
Hoop shoes have been designed like others court shoes. These look like runners
Yup most tennis shoes are great outdoor hoop shoes- rubber is a bit too hard for hardwood
Zach any thoughts on these for outdoor Pickleball on the hard court?
Check my top 5 videos - its in one of them
@@FootDoctorZach appreciate the response, I just ordered them!
Do you have the new balance two wxy v3 in mind for a review? I know you got a ton already in, just curious

If you have narrow feet, going down 1/2 size like the icon 1 will be too tight. Ordered my regular fit so hopefully it should be good 👍
Very tight painful at my regular size.

Yeah for sure- The new Torneos are so nice too- reverse of these ones

Yeah it’s the forefoot and heel - didn’t notice it on court
