Hey James! Love your foot technique! Can you please do a bud on your technique and pointers? 🤘🏼 Thank you for all the vids!

Numbers in between the notches on the slave arm would be great especially when setting up on stage but that's just being picky, these are my next pedals I think I'm leaning more to these than the Czarcie's.

What is the durability on the Universal joints on the driveshaft like? I go through iron cobra driveshafts like theyre going out of fashion, had to give up with them and get amazon specials 😅

Haha! The durability is amazing. I’m a super hard hitter and I’ve never had a problem. I think there was one point recently I hard clicking that I wasn’t sure about but with these joints because of the construction, I just tightened it with the Allen key and it was sorted. Ive had my pedals years, used them daily in the studio and on tour and they’ve never failed or broken in any way.

@@James-Chapman-Drums awesome! I'd best put some money back soon! Im also strongly debating getting a pair of the strap drive conversions for my iron cobras soon 🤔

@@James-Chapman-Drums I ORDERED THE STRAP DRIVES! 😍 Well, actually it would be more accurate to say my better half ordered them on my behalf because reasons. In other news, she also got me a drumdial for our anniversary. Definitely a keeper! Can't wait for the strap drives to arrive! 😍

these pedals are such a trick rip.... look nice but trick is probably much better

Not at all. These are far better pedals. They are better designed and have many many adjustments and features that trick do not have. The direct drive system is different, the spring is expansion not compression, the footboard geometry is different, the cam is different, these have strap and trick dont. The beater design is totally different. I’m fact, I’m struggling to see any similarity in these except that they are made of aluminium. I imagine you have played neither?

@@James-Chapman-Drums i play trick pro1v bigfoots, and havent tried darwin pedals. i love my bigfoots to death, they work perfectly for what i play and the speeds i go up to. i imagine darwins are great but from what my eyes can see they seem a bit too similar to trick in design and although they have major differences the guy who started acd couldve at least done more changes to not make them look so much like the pro1v

@@endowednigerian Trick are great pedals, but very different from Darwins. I think you saying trick are probably much better might be because you own them. They look very different to me. They’re black, they fold, the direct drive isn’t curved, the beater design is different, the footboard hinges and shape are different. I can’t really see any similarities. The things that look similar look similar to almost all pedals. Angled footplate connected to drive system and beater. I think the only similarity is that they have a single post for the chassis rather than posts each side, which is the same for the Pearl demon drive, DW9000, Axis, Czarcie Kopyto etc. There is no is definitely no copying going on here. Every part of the Darwin adjusts differently and is designed differently to the trick.

@@James-Chapman-Drums i guess youre right maybe i have a bias for trick. itd be interesting to try these though but i feel like too much adjustment possibilities would make me go nuts haha

@@endowednigerian I get what you mean. ACD have just released a new pedal called the Phantom. I’ll be doing videos for that soon. It’s basically a Darwin pedal but stripped down to not have quite so many adjustments. It’s still going to have the same feel and quality, but be a little more affordable and less complicated.
