- I only had like 15 hours with my friend Chad and his beautiful daughter Amber ,
she was quite a joy very well behaved little girl the next day we had lunch and they left then.
I went Thrifting and I found some great scores

Love all your thrift purchases with the crane bowl being my favorite. Goo Gone is the best thing ever! I discovered it back in the 90's when I worked in a bookstore and we used it to remove sticker residue off the covers. I use it alllll the time. In my opinion nothing works better. ❤

I love that sconce Brooke, I shouted at the screen when I thought you might put it back 😂. The crane pot and glass pot also fab. If you could see the charity (thrift) shops here you'd be so disappointed. I am so jealous of US and Canadian thrifters. I wonder if it's safer to blur your credit card numbers when you show store receipts even though some digits are obscured? Just to be safe. 😘 Thanks for the videos.

Brooke, I got to 7:44 in your video and I just had to stop to say YES.... the prices in thrift stores these days. So high! I know some stores are raising money for charity through sales and that is wonderful, but still, many people depend on good prices in thrift stores to buy what they actually need. One small example: I went to my local dollar store recently and saw a plastic hummingbird feeder for 1.25 and then went a mile down the road to a thrift store and saw the same feeder there (with the same dollar store price tag on it) was marked 2.50.
I know !!! I see dollar store dishes all the time for 3 or 4 dollars. 🤦🏼♀️ that’s why I look for coupons and picky about what I buy and 30% senior days . I’ve shopped in charity stores for over 40 years and never seen Prices like now .
Had a fellow follow me through a flea market and he bought everything I picked up and placed back down, a swagger stick and a pocket watch, fine by me, he paid too much. Happened before at a Goodwill, I think people are just unsure and they do not want to miss something that might be good, now that people use apps, they don't need to track people they rightly or wrongly believe know more than they do about antiques. Happy you bought the cranes. Looks delicious.

@@mamabrooke I used chalk paint, the colour wasn’t actually black black, but “ardesia”, I’m not too sure of the translation into English. I think it may be called slate …. The gold was also chalk paint. I would send you a photo but I don’t know how to do that …. Sorry
