- Looking for a few pieces to add into my fall wardrobe, have to pick up a few groceries making a decision to change the hardware in the kitchen for a little bit of shopping.

Good morning Brooke! As pretty as the brass and wood handles are, I think your black ones are in keeping with the aesthetic of the rest of your kitchen flooring and home. Could you use them on another piece of furniture like a chest, etc? Just a thought! 💕

I like the original rectangular black ones better. I feel like spaces need a little bit of modern here and there ( like how Anthropologie juxtaposing antique/vintage with modern). I would not change the ones that were already there.

I prefer black handles. Having said that, handles are an affective way to change up a look. Live with it a while. Once your counter top is addressed, you'll have 2 handle shapes to paint any color of choice. 🎉 i know you'll achieve a fabulous result. I look forward to ❤

A change is always nice and refreshing, in clothes, home or garden, food :) Black handles seem more harmonious w the rest of your decor. I wouldn't want to paint the wood parts black, but then why not... it would work then I think. Looking forward to the next episode :)

Loved that! Home Hardware sells a great cabinet paint where you can go right over gloss finish and it turns out perfect. No prep. In case you ever want to paint something like the cupboards. I used it on a basic MCM shiny Credenza and a 60s TV stand. Both look like it's original.

i prefer the black handles myself. i think you will be happy when you change out the counter top. everything you have , already will look even better. i have a black granite counter top, not my choice, and it shows every crumb and speck of dust. i wouldn't recommend that solid colour when you are choosing a new one

You could apply black contact paper, seen cabinets wrapped in that with antique brass pulls, it turned out very handsomely.

Ever since I saw your beautiful candelabra I've been wanting one for my patio SO SO BAD! 😍
Well, guess what I found this week at Savers thrift store?!
Yes!!! A 5' tall candelabra!!! ($13) Plus a single 3.5' one as well. ($7) I sanded and painted them both shiny black. Originally planned to do solar lights but couldn't find just the right ones, so I opted to do the flameless pillars and I love them!!! 🤩💛🤩
I have strung "pearls" and I've got crystal prisms coming soon from Temu.

Skip the sanding and priming, use chalk paint, sooo easy ! With the new handles black and brass, love it ! 😊
My kitchen cabinets are plastic cover
no paint. Would stick to that not even chalk paint not in the kitchen as it’s a very used washable area. I did it on my bed and I love it but I don’t scrub my bed every day. 🍃🩷🌸🐦⬛ thanks always
On your kitchen cabinets i prefer black. But those handles will probably come in handy when you do an upcycling project

The black handles look better with the floors and your decor.
You could totally do that countertop yourself. All you do is take sink out and place new countertop and drop sink back in really easy

1. I made the pasta pea and mushroom dish using chicken and it was delicious! Ty for posting recipes.
2. I have killed just about every fern I have ever tried to have. What’s your secret?
3. Keep the black cabinet pulls that you currently have in the kitchen! The go better with your flooring.
I’m glad you enjoyed the pasta I believe ferns need a lot of love and water like every three days and they like in direct sunlight as for the hardware in the kitchen I’m going to keep the black for now until I figure out what I’m going to do with the countertop . Thanks always 🍃🩷🩷🩷

I’m rooting for the black ones you already have on. They look more substantial to me. I may also be a little biased because I have black and white lol. I got a little bored so I changed the black hardware for gold hardware and it looked pretty but within a month I switched it back to the black. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Brooke, you are so right about the trend. I always was shopping at the thrift stores, I even teach my ex husband ( a lawyer) to shop with me. One day, he said he doesn't want to go to the store, but I convince him. The first thing was his client right there. I was laughing my ass, as he was embarrassed and told me that now his client probobly thinks that he's a piece of garbage! Thst was before it was trendy to shop till you drop. What $20 could buy xou back then!😅

I love your kitchen as is, but a new countertop will be fun and completely change the look. I need to get my kitchen cabinets painted, but I've had to replace the downstairs HVAC system, my fence and probably my roof all in one year, so no fun projects for me for the near future. There's always next year and something to start saving for.

@@mamabrooke I love when you play like this. Brass faucet sounds great. It’s hard seeing things photographed as they sometimes don’t look the same in person. For me the brass and wooden handles seem to take away the more elegant vibe that the black ones are giving, but brass, well that’s a whole new game. I think that with a new brass faucet would be amazing! I love your kitchen…love your whole home.🥰
