Meaning that your hotel’s in Cagliari, the capital, while during the day you visit the beaches (which are just a few hours away).

I'm a Chilean but I'm really proud to see the flags of my ancestors up there in S tier, Germany and Spain. I also went to all the countries on this list (except Switzerland) and can say I agree.
2 suggestions for Italy: Toscana: you can stay in a hotel in a rural area and each day go to a different city: Florence, Arezzo, Lucca, Pisa, etc. Each city is beautiful and has unique history. Liguria: you can do the riviera ligure and travel across the coast, staying a bit in each town: La Spezia, Genova, Savona, Albenga, Imperia, Sanremo, Bordighera (the most beautiful city) and make it to Nice eventually, where you can take a train/plane and go to somewhere else. Edit: for both these trips I recommend renting a car, thought you can use public transport, but it gives you less freedom to go to small cities
if you want advice from an Italian on where to go I recommend Tuscany for meat and wine, Sardinia for the best sea in Italy, Puglia/Calabria/Sicily (you can choose one of the three the only difference is the food ) for their crazy almost surreal geography and the Aosta Valley for the mountains

A recommendation for a trip that could be part of your future european visit: Munich-Vienna-Venice-Milan are really close to each other, with easy and frequent train connections - that would cover your interests of revisiting Germany (Bavaria), Vienna (could do some days to Budapest or Prague in between, easily reachable from vienna in a few hours) and then into the north Italian region! Venice, Florence, Milan, Genoa are all cities that you have to visit with your history-background!

I wrote this list for my family back home in the states to help plan their visit, so you may find it useful. Here are 10 recommended sites to see in England: 1. *Bath* (a beautiful classical city built in honey-colored stone with 2000 year old Roman Baths), 2. *The Cotswolds* (a region containing hundreds of gorgeous historic stone villages and towns; surrounded by rolling green countryside), 3. *York* (a well preserved medieval city with a huge gothic cathedral), 4. *Cambridge and Oxford* (two beautiful historic cities with world renowned medieval universities that you are able to tour), 5. *A Stately Home* (e.g. “Baroque”: Chatsworth House, Blenheim Palace, Castle Howard; “Tudor”: Burghley House, Hampton Court Palace, Hardwick Hall; “Medieval”: Haddon Hall, Knole House, Penshurst Place etc), 6. *A Medieval Castle* (e.g. the castles of Arundel, Bodiam, Alnwick, Windsor, Bamburgh, Warwick, Stokesay, Dover, Leeds [in the Kent countryside not in the city of Leeds], Ludlow etc), 7. *Canterbury* (a very charming medieval city with an important gothic cathedral), 8. *A Medieval Cathedral* (some of the finest in England are: Lincoln, Durham, York, Ely, Canterbury, Salisbury, Wells, Winchester, Gloucester, Norwich etc), 9. *An Ancient Monument* (the Neolithic sites of Wiltshire are my favorite: Stonehenge [3000-2500 BC], Avebury Stone Circle [2850 BC], countless ancient buildings such as West Kennet Long Barrow [3650 BC] and ancient earthworks like Silbury Hill [2850 BC]), 10. *The Lake District* (this is my favorite natural site in England; not only because it has sublime countryside, but also for its many charming villages and towns). Spain is one of the best countries to visit, not only because of the capitals or big cities, but the variety on a "small" country, with 5 tipes of climate: Mediterranian, Oceanic, Continental, Mountains and subtropical/volcanic. Also diferent types of food depending on the region (paella is valencian, not spanish), cheap compared to northen europe or the usa, monuments of diferent religions ("la Alhambra" in granada or the real holy grail in Valencia), the parties are one of the longest probably in all of the world (not just big parties, even those from small town with molsty teenagers can go up to 6 a.m. or even to the rise of the sun and breakfast without sleep (personal experience)), very prepared and focused on tourists, and so on...
I can't recommend Japan enough and don't forget to visit Nagasaki and the Hiroshima prefecture and the rural areas. The Japan sea around Onomichi is just beautiful and when you see the landscape there you will understand the zen gardens in Kyoto. And I recommend Nagasaki and Hiroshima for its beauty and for the past which we also shouldn't forget.
Hmm I of course my opinion might be a little biased but I feel like you should learn a little Japanese before going since a big part of it is interacting with us and experience the different culture
Switzerland is the most expensive country in the world but we have high salary so it doesn't really matter for us but for the tourists it's very shocking to see Swiss prices
You should definitely come and visit Chile! Start from the dry north and end to the further south. I would recommend at least 2 weeks, and lots of money because it's expensive
As an Italian I really reccomend you to visit the rest of the peninsula, it's definetly worth it. There are a lot of great cities like Milan, Florence, Turin, Naples, Palermo, Bologna, Venice (just to name the most famous ones), all really different from the others and with lots of things to visit: museums, cathedrals, squares, reamains of Roman buildings and reinassance palaces, and plenty of restaurants of course. A great thing about Italian cousine is its variety from city to city, each with its own culinary tradition, so traveling in varius places won't feel repetitive both for the look and for the food. I would also reccomend returning to Rome because that city has so much to offer that I visited it plenty of times but there are still places I haven't seen
I recommend going to Istanbul! Also for Morocco, I recommend going to Algeria instead. It’s basically Morocco without the tourism culture. Highly recommend!
As a Polish person I literally screamed when you said you wanted to visit Poland. Please, go to somewhere outside Warsaw. Our capital city is great but Kraków, Wrocław and Toruń are just beautiful (you can aslo visit infamous Bydgoszcz for the memes). I'd love to hear you opinion about us.
If you want to visit Eastern (Central) Europe and not visit capitals I would recommend Kraków Poland and Brno Czechia. Both are very beautiful historical cities.
As a German, I can tell you that Berlin isn't representative of Germany at all. It's like a crazy punk version of Germany. But still a great city though lol. You should definitely check out Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Leipzig and Stuttgart. These are some cool cities which have their own unique character. Austria is nice too if you're into nature, but you'll find beautiful landscapes across the entire continent.
If you liked Spain but want more of an interaction with nature you could look at going to the Canary Islands, it doesn’t really matter which one, they’re all beautiful, just don’t go to the one that just got blown up by a volcano.
You should visit Greece during summer holidays period. As a Greek song says "Welcome to Greece, have a nice holiday, let tomorrow be in debts, Welcome to Greece and have a nice day!"
If you want to go to somewhere in Europe to enjoy the landscapes and food etc.. I promise you Istanbul is a great place 👍🏻 not the first city that you would think of going to in Europe, but if you're looking for experience it was fun and unique and I never had a better summer (from someone who lives in Paris)
When Drew visits Germany again, he should visit cities like Munich, Leipzig, Freiburg or Dresden with their beautiful historic centers and culture. Dresden for example has such a famous reputation for it’s culture, that it’s nicknamed “Florence on the Elbe“
You definitely should go to Portugal on your way to Morocco (since you already went to Spain). That’s what I plan on doing hopefully in the near future
As a Swiss... I feel ya... on one hand it is an amazing country to life in... on the other hand there are the prices... :( Though, the cool thing about growing up here is everywhere else you travel is cheap af, compared to what you're used to... p.s. If you're doing croatia and austria next do a stop in Ljubliana... definitely worth it.
Drew, Im swedish and I higly recommend you visit a few cities so you can get the full swedish experiance. Gothenburg, Stockholm, Visby, Kalmar, and Umeå. All of these are historical places important to swedish history and economy. but the ones I think you will enjoy most becouse of their historical value it would be Stockholm, Kalmar and Visby.
I was really hoping he would come to Denmark at some point, but then he said he was bothered by how expensive Switzerland was. So yeah, that'll never happen.... Nvm he said he wants to. Drew, if you're seeing this, I have been to plenty of countries and don't even live in Copenhagen, but it is still my favourite city in the world. You have a lot to look forward to.
As an Indian, I recommend visiting Ooty! It’s a really beautiful place. Most of the people know at least some English so it’s not gonna be hard to communicate, but I do recommend going with a local because I have encountered some people who try to get some extra money off of foreigners. A few other places I’d recommend are Malacca, Singapore, Krabi and Langkawi.
You gotta do a Australia trip on its own cause the whole country is like the size of Europe so it’s good if you went to like every state capital like brisbane sydeny Melbourne Perth etc cause there’s no language barrier and it’s just like cali in terms of temperatures
if you're going on a tourist spot in portugal, lisbon is your best bet. if you want good weather, faro is your best spot. if you want a chill place, portoalegre.
If you liked Spain and had fun I really recommend that you go to the south the next time. It has amazing beaches, amazing food, a lot of history and monuments and a really cool culture. I also recommend it because you can take a boat from the south of Spain to go to Morocco and its like really cheap in comparison to a plane or other forms of travel.

You NEED to visit Florence, Italy, it’s a beautiful city with a lot of attractions and if you’re interested in historic tourism it is one of the best places in Italy for that, same goes to Santiago De Compostela in Spain.
When we did our European vacation, Florence was our favorite city we visited

2 suggestions for Italy:
Toscana: you can stay in a hotel in a rural area and each day go to a different city: Florence, Arezzo, Lucca, Pisa, etc.
Piemonte>Valle d'Aosta
only Tuscany is worth the trip
I noticed you didn’t drop Venice

Im british and I would say that if youre going to visit some more places, Iceland and Norway are great but expensive, Austria is excelent, and Belgium is a must. Also portugal is great and pretty similar to spain

Not Munich:D
As a dutch person who has travelled quite a lot, I would definitely recommend that you travel to Slovenia. Also i would go not only to Ljubljana but also to lake Bled and Triglav area

I wrote this list for my family back home in the states to help plan their visit, so you may find it useful. Here are 10 recommended sites to see in England:

3. *York* (a well preserved medieval city with a huge gothic cathedral),
4. *Cambridge and Oxford* (two beautiful historic cities with world renowned medieval universities that you are able to tour),
5. *A Stately Home* (e.g. “Baroque”: Chatsworth House, Blenheim Palace, Castle Howard; “Tudor”: Burghley House, Hampton Court Palace, Hardwick Hall; “Medieval”: Haddon Hall, Knole House, Penshurst Place etc),

8. *A Medieval Cathedral* (some of the finest in England are: Lincoln, Durham, York, Ely, Canterbury, Salisbury, Wells, Winchester, Gloucester, Norwich etc),

Petition for Drew to put the flag of the German Empire in the background. (Day 1)
As an Italian I really reccomend you to visit the rest of the peninsula, it's definetly worth it.
As a fellow italian, Italy is great
