Nice job- Bought my SARB033 last September, for $369 from Long Island Watch. A few more $ than you but still a lot of watch for the money. Only complaint I have is the clasp sits very proud of the bracelet when closed. Not a deal killer but could have been a bit more elegant. As trade-offs go I'll take it. 6R15, sapphire, beautiful case and bracelet finishing for less than $400- It's Seiko's loss-leader and gateway drug into the world of mid and upper tier watches.
UPTICK Watch Reviews Serviced one time i dont know the accuracy but maybe is 5-10 sec per day...the watch is really very nice and worth every cent, maybe one of the best vfm out there, comfortable - good for medium to small wrists and still shiny...
I've seen countless reviews on this watch and have to say I found this the most interesting.. been tossing up whether (or when) to buy the 033 for over a year and this finally got me over the line.. arriving next week!
Went browsing the Seiko boutique today to check out the Grand Seiko Snowflake. I enquired about a SARB033 which wasn't in any of the display cases. What do you know, there were 2 stored in the back for customers that had ordered prior. One was offered to me so i snapped it up. Just gorgeous, especially for the price.
Yeh it also comes very close to perfection but it's too big for me personally and being extremely picky I don't like the the way the hands curve. Undeniably better finishing, especially the bracelet but with the same 6R15 movement it's not quite the same value proposition. A hybrid combination would be incredible.
Thank you for the awesome review Sir! I've been eyeing the SARB033 for some time now but I still can't choose between the SARB033, SARB035 and Hamilton Khaki Field 38mm
Owned both, the Hamilton Khaki Field is the best watch around $400. Nothing else even close in quality. You get everything in the Seiko, plus you get a better movement with the ETA 2824 that beats at 28,800 vice 21,600bph, better time accuracy... plus the Hamilton comes with a display back where you can see the movement. The Hamilton is also very thin and fits very comfortably on the wrist. Plus, the Hamilton sapphire has anti-reflective coating... which makes a big difference. I had problems outside in sunny weather with the Seiko sapphire reflecting light very poorly.
I wonder how these movements perform in the longer term. There are quite a few reviews out there that claim the watch to start gain/loose time a lot more after a year or so, well outside of specs.
My Chinese Day I got these from eBay. The weekend that the discontinuation was announced the watches were starting to sell really fast. Now the best next price is over $340. Keep on waiting and you’ll have to fork out $400...
My Chinese Day To me it made no difference as I already had all three watches but I think it’s a good wake up call to those who hesitated that it could happen. If it was just a rumor, consider it a fire drill and get yours ;-)
ozan pehlivan Of course it can. People can get a bit pretentious about these things. Just wear it happily with whatever you want and don’t overthink it! :)
@Yytt it's a good watch, but not that good, i could honestly think about st least 5 cheaper watches with in the same style that are much better then the sarb. It's overrated because it keeps being recommended to everyone and the prices keeps getting higher and the watch is simply a $300 watch not more or less, RUclipsrs making it looks like it's thr most perfect watch but it's an ok watch at Lea that's how i think it is after checking it out
neil piper I have to say that my 4Rs have been incredibly accurate indeed but some 6Rs as well, some were within a second daily. I’ll see how they fare in a couple of years.
I think with a lot of Seiko movements there is something of a lottery. I’ve had a great 6r in a blumo and sarb33 but currently have a bad (+20s p/d) in my sarb035. Ive got a great (+1spd) in my sbdx017 8L but have heard of people with bad accuracy from what’s a far more expensive movement. Had a 4r that was ok but think it’s the luck of the draw really

Paul Sharp That’s great, enjoy the watch and thanks for checking out the video!

I've owned the cream sarb035 for a few months know but hearing these are being discontinued I just placed an order for the sarb033 as well.
ChipZilla69 I just ordered my sarb033 at 460 on amazon now there going for 500. Think these will become a true collectable
Hey mate I followed you for a while now, this video just made me bought a mint condition for around $440 usd, hope you well mate!
Get mine yesterday super nice watch 38 first time for me ! I love it
It's not the dial that's 38mm, it's the case. The dial is only 30mm. Smaller than other 38mm watches I've had.
Have both and love them
Salut! Merci pour la revue. J'aime bien ton avis... et puis je soutiens les Francophones qui font des revues en anglais. Subbed! A +, Irène.
No lume, AR coating and a bracelet matching the quality of the case and this would be my favourite watch of all time given the price point!
Have a look at the SARX035, everything you described.

I still love my seiko sarbo35 in 2020 .
Yes they are and now I need to put the bracelet back in mine
Thanks for your review
Nicely done sir.
I have to get one of these
Thank you for the awesome review Sir! I've been eyeing the SARB033 for some time now but I still can't choose between the SARB033, SARB035 and Hamilton Khaki Field 38mm
I decided to go for the SARB033. Thank you for the suggestion and awesome review. Keep it up!

I relate! All are right up my ally.
Which One do you like more? 33 or 35? I can’t choose!
35, the lume just blends right in. Not too busy and guess what any strap color works!
I have both and the black dial 033 is my favorite. Can dress it up or down, metal bracelet or leather strap.
I wonder how these movements perform in the longer term. There are quite a few reviews out there that claim the watch to start gain/loose time a lot more after a year or so, well outside of specs.
I had one for almost five years and it always ran slow sadly. It was a very comfortable watch though - I think I just grew tired of the creme dial.
Neverokful how slow?
Worth every penny!
Hey, are you in Hong Kong. I'd like to know where I can pick one of these up in HK for 300usd. Loved the review, thanks

vdbdg it's recently come to light that the discontinuation was a rumour, check the sarb017 thread on WUS
My Chinese Day To me it made no difference as I already had all three watches but I think it’s a good wake up call to those who hesitated that it could happen. If it was just a rumor, consider it a fire drill and get yours ;-)
vdbdg yeah you are right! How long have you lived in HK? Where is the best place to get these watches in HK?
What do you think guys, can this watch be worn with t-shirt and jeans ?
ozan pehlivan Of course it can. People can get a bit pretentious about these things. Just wear it happily with whatever you want and don’t overthink it! :)
White works better
I liked the watch but when I tried the bracelet it was so hollow feeling and cheap.
Ebay.ca had 15% off coupon for just one day.. Just bought one for USD $335
Doesn't worth$335
@@eliransabak1447 Yeah they're worth about $500 anywhere outside of Japan
@@cardamundo295 ??? At $300 there are better watches the sarb. Can't imagine paying this much for an average overrated watch
@@eliransabak1447 what would you recommend at this price point?

The 035 is much more legible.
Yes.
But my Sarb033 was highly NOT accurate at all.
Gave the piece to my sister
AjaxForever Don’t complain if your sister’s always late for dinner. Remind her watches aren’t meant to tell the time, that’s what the iPhone’s for.
on sarb033 the hour hand is missalign ....1:32 min
nosphy I’m pretty sure it’s the camera angle throwing it off.
6r movement is not so accurate as the 4r

You just need to have it regulated by a watch maker.
Nice watches but not worth just over $300.00 for them. Maybe $125.00 to $140.00.
You just officially stated that you don't have any clue about watches...
You obviously have no idea what you are saying.
Lol what? These are JDM watches. You have no clue
Clowns be clowning
Many Seiko 5 models look just as good for much less . . .
Nope
Yep
Objectively, they do not. I see where someone not into the matter and with bad eye-sight could think like that.
Okay, you're correct, so sorry, thanks.
NP ;)
