Not the way I compose. I think it better to write the entire melody, at least several bars. Then fill in the chords that might work. Then see if you need to change things. Never be in such a hurry.

For me, the fragment you played sounds like it ends on a ii chord, and I imagine it continuing with V I, but I doubt that's what you wanted to do because you would have just done it... so I still don't know how you composed that

I remember the very first piece I ever wrote from a handwritten base. It was my first march-style piece. I'm still quite proud of it, however, it's easier for me to write music digitally. Good job! Also, didn't Igor Stravinsky invent that stencil? I think I heard something about that, and it was revolutionary to composing. 🤔👍

I'm sure I saw a film about Schubert once in which he was shown using a pen which created five lines. Not sure if it was being "authentic".
I’m a GPS techie and I thought that the GPS positions of old orchard trees that I had surveyed would make a pretty avant-garde composition.
