I like these because it shows aspects of Omori's personality that you wouldn't be able to know about in the main story.
I like how the text portrays him as a smartass
I know, right? Sunny really does seem to be a smart and clever kid, just kind of unmotivated by practical and expected standards. I know that some of these are just supposed to be cheeky references, but I'd still like to apply it to canon, in a way.
For example, the fact that Sunny is aware of and has probably watched "The Incredible Mr. Limpet," (which I could totally see him enjoying) due to the Reverse Mermaid quip as a kid living in the late 90's/early 2000's is pretty funny, and says a lot about Sunny's quirkiness.

One thing that concerns me is how Kel knows what some of the enemies taste like. For example in 0:32 he says they taste like oranges and in 3:26 he says they taste like lime. Does Kel eat the enemies after the team has defeated them for some reason? I will never understand him.

So many enemies in headspace are made out of food because sunny is literally starving. We literally don’t see him eat anything in the real world except a steak he immediately throws up.
As much as people say he's a smartass with how he talks, Omori/Sunny's friends say that he has good memory (even in the real world) that he's trusted to remember certain things like the order of the photos in Basil's album. Sure, he misremembered a few things like Kel's favorite drink (he hates milk), but he still clearly remembers most of them. The music you hear in headspace? A lot of those are from the radios you can listen to in the real world. One of the quests in Molly's section involves memory. Sunny has a lot of untapped creativity that he chose to internalize. Couple that with his vivid imagination, he can translate those thoughts into something more productive as an outlet- if he ever finds a hobby or passion that isn't just staying in one place contemplating with nothing. He also seems to like puns so much that you get to have a sidequest involving them. Some of the enemy entries are puns, even. Perhaps he is a smartass to some degree, but I don't think it's not without some backing.
Maybe people in the dreamworld keep saying that he has a good memory as a way of covering up the truth so sunny doesn't have to remember what happened trusting that his memory is great

I feel like his way of speaking could have something to do with trying to avoid showing emotions. Some people have speculated that some of Space Ex-Husband's dialogue is Sunny projecting.
The reason he misremembered Kels favorite drink is because A. Orange Joe is a person in Headspace and B. Sunny and everyone else hate Orange Joe so he repressed it almost as hard as Maris death.

I like these as they give insight to Omori's thoughts, we dont see him talk so theyre very interesting
He's clearly very smart and knowledgeable, but also retains that dreamy child essence, making comments that are clearly out of his own imagination

The dial up is referred to as being an “ancient form of accessing communication networks”
This means that omori has to take place somewhere in the 2000s since the dial up was made in 1992 and replaced in 2000 I think... so....
hmm that makes sense. the whole time i was bugged by the fact that they make such a huge deal about moving away. like, nowadays, you can stay in contact with pretty much anybody from anywhere. but if this was before the popularization of the smartphone, it's a more valid concern
there’s also the box computers and the use of house phones everywhere, the iphone 4 came out in middle 2010, making this the 2000s (i usually think of it around 2002-2008 because i still roughly remember some aspects back then)
Sunny got the box computer from his dad after he got a laptop, and we've seen him and the others play video games as well if that helps with anything
(SPOILERS)
I've worked out an assumed timeline:
1983: Mari's birth (possibly; could be 1984 as well, but I believe it's 1983)
1984: Hero's birth
1987: Sunny's, Basil's, Kel's, and Aubrey's birth year
1999: Year Mari dies
2003: Time game takes place
The lack of cell phones, the Tamagotchi in Kel's pocket, the dial-up dialogue here (like you said), the device that Sunny was playing on in Basil's photo album (likely a Gameboy Color), and Hero's dialogue in this journal about the cassette tape (which was popular in America in the mid-late 80's. Therefore, he would be able to remember using it some, while Sunny and the others wouldn't, as they would have been younger and more used to CD's), are my evidence.
The math works out with their current ages, and their ages that they were when the incident happened/Dream World.
I also feel it would be after 2006 cause of how Pluto ain't a planet y'know

This seems a lot like the Piklopedia or whatever from Pikmin 2... I actually loved spending hours reading all those quirky journal logs in that game. :p How Olimar reacts to real world objects like a scientist like WE'RE the ancient aliens and even how Louie talks about cooking some of the plants and animals (and how some are hilariously inedible) was very entertaining. :p It gave a lot of lore and even personality to the characters you're playing...
Same here, we barely even get to know what Sunny/Omori himself is thinking. :p
To be honest, this video confirms for me that this game in some ways is a LOT like End Roll. o.o

I have some ideas for new Enemies/Foe
• Monster Clown (a really frightened clown in thesis that he can kill you)
• Murder The Clown (now shot, Stab it where you think it is while it is hanged or stop it with a pendant and then make it smaller and lift it)
• Glass-Cannon (a simple cannon for art exhibitions of twentieth century contemporary Art)
• Work-Aholic (a worker from whom his Passion for construction is due to his addiction to alcohol)
• Ninja Carrot (you feel wisdom doesn't count as a real ninja nor as a carrot but something like a Carrot Ninja!)
• Bugbird (a missing link that represents the Evolutionary Conjunction Between Insects and Birds)
• Bubbly-Bobble (a truly Bold bubble but with Childlike behavior)
• Flander's Dog (is the mad dog of the child flanders)
• Clever Clown (a clown different from the others with a good dose of Deconstruction Concepts on Comedy)
• Sir Frog (legend has it that a prince had been the victim of a spell by a witch who turned him into a frog)
• Plague Doctor (people who saw these strange gentlemen dressed as Plague Doctor felt like they were in the Middle Ages)
• Cute Saxophone (This Saxophone Had A Animesque Face)

I lost my marbles when i realized in the hikikimori route, i didnt fight pluto for the first time. This meant that i got everything in the foe facts EXCEPT Pluto's first boss fight. really upset right now. gotta restart the hikikimori route and fight perfectheart AGAIN.... in order to get this achievement. Actually had to restart it again anyways because i made the deal with that thing in the castle before realizing that there was an achievement for going to every picnic and mirror... RIP.

King carnivore can't be fought if you cut the rope. Snow Angel is omori route exclusive, on snowglobe mountain

What Omori explains in the CREEPYPASTA enemy might be a reference to the creepypasta "Ben Drowned" from Majora's Mask. The story starts with a dusty cartridge as well, and things start to get bad from there. I don't know, just a thought xD
omoris bluntness and apparent beef with some of these enemies made me laugh more than i expected. i cant handle how quickly it goes from "cute thing. interesting backstory." to "absolute ABOMINATION. do NOT trust whatever it says, it is a LIAR, and it burned my house down"

legit spent so long trying to get this just to realise I forgot to fight the first pluto
crushed the king carnivore without really thinking about it and i realize i need him to complete my list
it'd be unfortunate if i need to finish off the entire game once more to get the achievement, are there any other places where you can encounter one?
King Carnivore can't be fought again. he's a one time encounter.
A little trick I learned playing this game, is that early bosses, such as Pluto before the Junkyard incident, and King Carnivore, are fights that you can easily flee. If you just encounter them, and flee on the first round, they will be in your Foe Facts Journal, even if you did not beat them. Kind of a neat thing to know if you don't want to mess with these guys early on, and just want to complete the journal.
You would have to load a save or start the game all over. Remember that you can just enter battle with it then run, simply entering combat with an enemy adds to your journal.
@@daddyjockno9529 But Pluto flies away if you run from him the first time. I'd recommend getting everything else done (before getting Spaceboy's mixtape) and THEN fight him. He's actually not that difficult after leveling up enough.

They make me forget the fact that Omori's friends have all died at least once due to impossible circumstances resulting in a "dream reset" (a term I made up) but their remains aren't gone. This still haunts me and I can't stop thinking about it. Goddammit Omocat how and why did you make this a reality.
