    At 22 my life change forever as I was about to work as an actress in my first movie ( destiny put all of it on my way, I did not even study acting ).
    The project was big and was the start of my career and financial independence.
    I went from a toxic partner and no money to a young successful artist at that moment.
    I just moved to an apartment with 2 girlfriends and was doing research and studying the script.
    The movie was about a specific period in history, in a specific island. It was a true story of the 60’s.
    I was just checking a blog about a photographer that lived in this island so I could prepare my role better.
    One of the girls was home and asked what I was doing and I told her. Then she told me I should go to the balcony I had in my room and check the name of the street we had just in front of my balcony.
    For my surprise and awe, the street my window was facing was named as the island where the story of the movie was happening.
    I knew my life was about to change.
    I’ve had many many of these synchronicities that sometimes are hard to believe are just coincidence.
    There is a higher mind behind it all.. I am pretty sure about that.
    Sometimes this synchronicity’s saved my life and saved me from confusión guiding me as subtle angels.

      Thanks for sharing that awe inspiring experience with us Starstorm. There are definitely moments when everything comes together in ways that are hard to comprehend in rational terms. Human thinking is extremely limited and life is always grander and more powerful than we think and capable of surprising us.

    Thank you for this thought provoking message. I contemplate coincidence and synchronicity often but have so few people to converse with on this topic. Everyone seems to be “opinionated” and quickly choose to cancel further possibilities. Love that you address your viewers as “ my friends”, it makes it so much more personal, at least it does for me! 🌹❤

      Opinions are developed using intellectual skills, hopefully. Some are copy and pasted into rote memory in order to feel as part of a team. The intellect supports the ego. Creativity is often unexpected, and the source unknown. Meaning seems to point towards values more than reason; although, meaning can be very reasonable.
      A curious individual can sometimes go into uncharted territory to discover connections. I looked at the theoretical conception dates of our two adult children, and to mine. Rather interesting patterns arose. The mathematics is mind-boggling for someone who does not experience pattern recognition. These synchronicities get more complex with time.

    I first discovered Jung after I'd had a full-blown mystical experience at the age of 21. He was the first I found who described anything near what I experienced. And yes--it is amazing and impossible to imagine (Life is so much more creative than we are!), but I went out running in an infinite sea of lights, astounded at the discoveries, the thoughts I was having...until I stopped and found I was in the middle of an ocean and had no way to get back. I was lost, and even though I could see my body, I did not feel connected with it. That was when I heard "Start from the Beginning," and found myself in my body once again.

    Thank you so much for this compassionate but firm message. In a strange way, because of search engine algorithms, pop spirituality (manifestation, tarot and astrology) content will be suggested to you very regularly and which one might take to be as very meaningful. And that can make people feel fully dependent on a certain channel or person to explain their life to them. I felt this way with a certain channel but became wary and weaned myself off this dependence. I like to engage with esoteric systems like tarot but now I see them symbolically rather than literally- which is an approach that is very easy to dismiss. Thanks again for sharing ❤

    1% margin of error is standard in scientific research. In psychology it is 5%.
    I begin at 3 magnitudes smaller than the scientific % when I compare multiple events over a period of 7 decades.
    Sadly, not one peer has been interested in examining my evidence face to face. Words are malleable.

    Hi Emmy, I had a question for you to possibly answer. Regarding the topic of self-improvement there's a lot of talk about your purpose or you life goal. They say to truly live virtuously, that you need to live by this. I have a hard time with this concept as I feel it is very difficult to choose. When I try to look for one, I feel it is almost arbitrary in a way, as purpose changes and goals once completed only lead to new ones. Does the real magic of our life belong in the day to day life, to enjoy, to stay present? Or do I struggle with this idea because I simply haven't found my purpose yet. I would love to know what you think, regarding the idea of living with purpose. Good day

    • @EmmyvanDeurzen
      @EmmyvanDeurzen  6 дней назад +1

      I will speak about living with purpose some time soon. But I think you may be confusing purpose and goal setting. A purpose is not a goal or an end, but a deep sense of meaning that is directional in terms of the progress of our life, but is not something you can achieve once and for all.

    Interesting. This one was almost about another theme you just introduced here: "Prejudices". Right? Not falling in that "trap" of illusion. Prejudiced illusions that, sometimes, are even capable... of putting an end to relationships because of those things that are not there, right?
    Gosh, it seems I already started preaching another "philosophy" here 😯... but... it is actually somehow interestingly entangled. I'll share a bit with you. It's better to snatch a few exact words from them. It might be opportune:
    - That philosophy "makes a fundamental distinction between the real and the unreal; between knowledge and perception.
    Knowledge is truth. Truth is unalterable, eternal and unambiguous. It can be unrecognized, but it cannot be changed. It is beyond learning because it is beyond time and process. It has no opposite; no beginning and no end. It merely is.
    The world of perception, on the other hand, is the world of time, of change, of beginnings and endings. It is based on interpretation, not on facts. It is the world of birth and death, founded on the belief in scarcity, loss, separation and death. It is learned rather than given, selective in its perceptual emphases, unstable in its functioning, and inaccurate in its interpretations.
    From knowledge and perception respectively, two distinct thought systems arise which are opposite in every respect. In the realm of knowledge no thoughts exist apart from (... the Truth as one unique will). The world of perception, however, is made by the belief in opposites and separate wills, in perpetual conflict with each other. What perception sees and hears appears to be real because it permits into awareness only what conforms to the wishes of the perceiver. This leads to a world of illusions, a world which needs constant defense precisely because it is not real.
    When you have been caught in the world of perception you are caught in a dream. You cannot escape without help, because everything your senses show merely witnesses to the reality of the dream".
    PS: I tweaked the text a little bit ☺️

    • @EmmyvanDeurzen
      @EmmyvanDeurzen  6 дней назад

      That's more or less right, though there is often some fluidity between knowledge and perception and vice versa. Knowledge often turns out to actually have been just a perspective. It tends to progress as we gain more information and put more facts together. Perception is vital in that process. So they belong together in many ways.
