Unfortunately I never saw the Stones at the ABC Hull - although I managed to see the Beatles twice at the same venue ( front seats ) And some years later I actually photographed the Four Tops & The Detroit Spinners live on stage - it is a cinema of many memories This is a brilliant piece of Hull history
@@facethemusic5155 check out my RUclips channel Joseph Danny Foster there’s a few Beatle memories on there although I never got to meet them I was active taking photographs of various groups from that period . By the way I still have my original tickets for both Beatle gigs at the ABC cinema - images in my Beatles memory vid.
For me, controversially, their "covers period" 1963 to 1964, was the best. Love Keith & Brian's guitar work and what a fab rhythm section. Coolest front man too. Versus their "purple patch" (classic LPs 1968 to 1972) or classic singles run (1965 to 1971)
The police looking like proper police! That ABC has great memories for me , from gigs , many films and a very special first date just after my nineteenth birthday in 1980...( AG) The whole building was demolished a decade or more ago and a shopping complex now stands there.
Don't forget three of the original 6 Stones are now dead: Brian Jones (1969); Ian Stewart (1985) & Charlie Watts (2021). By this time, 1964, Ian was their Driver/Road Manager behind the curtain.
Looking closely at the clip of 'Around & Around' it seems believable to me that Mick, Brian, Bill and Charlie are playing live. The only one that leaves me in doubt is Keith, who seems to be strumming the guitar as if he's fiddling with it. What do you guys think?
Keith is playing the little “blues” rhythm part, along with Bill Wyman here- pretty simple, but the song needs it to drive the beat, and he is playing. Brian is playing the high parts- a simple lead riff, then playing barre chords. They’re all playing here. Sounds pretty good too!

I went to see the Stones last June in Anfield & they were incredible! 🥰
Great post ! I was at this show back then , up on the balcony. Damn but they look so clean and young LOL

Nice to see this complete clip, especially when Charlie sticks his tongue out.
And they are still alive...
You spoke too soon. RIP Charlie Watts (and of course Brian Jones passed away many years ago)
@@keithwebb2349 Im so sorry for this lost, RIP Charlie and Brian...
