The fact he goes from college to pro golf to winning the masters the following year is nuts
He was built for the big moments .. ncaa wasn’t enough pressure for him
I was 33 and never picked up a golf club till I followed him in Phx that year. Been addicted and playing ever since and now a 3 hcp. Thank you Tiger, for all the motivation and desire!!
It's so strange to watch Tiger swing without people yelling "GET IN THE HOLE"
We'd all be better served by people that stopped yelling stupid things at tournaments.
@@KYExtemperGET IN THE HOLE!!!
The width and tempo of young TW is mesmerizing
I searched this video for that exact reason
cool as hell to see a young tiger carrying a shitty stand bag like we all used to
Shame the people who put this together didn't include more swing footage - this is 90% putting highlights.
So pure.
Tiger’s swing from 1996 and 1997 was perfect.
I honestly think he was the greatest putter ever, especially under pressure!
No question. Best short game ever.
In his prime no doubt about it. Later in his career from about 2010 on when he didn’t play nearly as much, his pitches/chips would piss me off. There was obviously occasional magic but he flubbed, stubbed, and chunked many more of those shots than most elite pros in my opinion, and I started having much more confidence that other guys would get it close than he would. But to me he just played so seldom later in his career that he could never groove it like he could when he was playing all the time with a healthy body. Even now though he has magic in there, especially the putter
Those are some serious Michael Jackson shoes and socks
Michael Jackson always wore black shoes...just saying
He was the best in the world even in 96’. Then to win the masters by 12 the following year is insane 🤯
Won it by 12 after dropping a big nasty 40 on the front 9...then proceeded to just obliterate augusta....imagine how far ahead he wouod have been if he hadn't got off to that rocky start
Imagine being an elite amateur at the same time as tiger. That would really suck
hard to believe 1996 was 25years ago....Damn
Hard to believe it was 28 years ago.. 1996 is the year I started playing golf..
96 National College Champ , 96 three time USAm Champion 97 Masters Champion never will happen again.
A year later wins the Masters haha wow. Go Tiger, my GOAT!!! 🤪
To shoot 80 in the final round and still win! Look at the crowds he was already pulling as an amateur. That is the only life he knows. The can't miss kid didn't miss. Boy did he make a splash!
I think this guy has a future. Nice swing
The kids was already better than most pro golfers by the time 1991 came around. Do the math on that. That’s not human.
I’ve never seen a single person pick up a double strap bag and walk away with just the right shoulder strap on their left shoulder with the bag facing the wrong way before! Or maybe he’s doing it correct and everybody else is wrong which could certainly be possible given how ridiculous his golf brain is
Should have cruised to 30 majors. Injuries and personal life issues derailed him. There were a couple bad losses in there too like YE in 09 and the 07 masters and US Open, but injuries were the main culprit
He could’ve been the GOAT.. He ended up just a Top 5 All-time Golfer..
It wasn’t the injuries. Is was the woman. Biggest downfall.
What course was that?
Honors Course
Did he get a championship ring?
Would’ve been great see this kid turn pro
I think this kid could have a bright future.
What kind of putter was that... Not an anser. That insert looks funky
Looks like an odyssey
