Problem with front load washers: people dont expect to have to do maintenance to their washers. Now you can argue that you shouldn't need to, but I personally love my maytag front loader that I have had for 10 years with absolutely zero problems that I couldn't deal with myself. Even if you need to change the seal you can do that since its just behind some sheet metal. The secret to keeping a front load washer is to always clean the sealing area, clean the drainage ports under the lip of the seal, clean your washer regularly with vinegar and baking soda (or bleach if you want), don't ever leave them closed for too long and always leave it cracked open when not in use, and finally do not ignore any size leak because it may just be some dirt on the seal but a leak will never get better it'll only get worse.
2:37 Home Depot deals start here.
I’m all for you getting those sponsor deals Bear but just want to get right to the sales 😅
😂😂😂😂😂 all respect bud. Get em

Just finished remodeling a room and painted it with Behr paint. They claimed one coat coverage but I found two coats is what was really needed. I don't think I would re-purchase it again.
I agree with you' Bear on Behr paint. I painted my whole house with Behr. In my opinion it goes on really well... creates a good finish.... and so far, over a decade later, is doing great. I used to use Sherwin-Williams.... which I liked, but Behr has won me over.
Me too. Too many issues with Sherwin, Behr has been great. Although I use Halman-Lindsay on my exterior as it is a local paint company and knows the environment very well.
NO = M18 Weed Eater for 159.00
YES = M18 Weed Eater for 199.00 with 8.0 & rapid charger
Love the drawer in the door! So easy to throw stuff in and does not get hidden like the crisper drawer.
It's a "beer drawer"! It's nice for holding cans of beer or pop/soda, without taking up a large portion of your fridge, if you keep beverage cans on hand. They are expensive, though.
Expensive? Yeah, but. . .dedicated beer storage. 🍺 👍😃
My whirlpool Duet front loaders have been running 3-4 loads a day for 20 years straight. These things never stop. Can't say enough about whirlpool. I do think the top loaders are generally way more reliable for most people.
Same for me... But I did just buy a new LG set. It also has been great.
This is my exact same experience they no longer sell the Duet but do sell a similar model with large capacity and smooth spin technology.
Just FYI ... I have the same line / string trimmer. If I use my 3 amp / hr battery it not only runs out of power quickly but destroys the battery quickly. Especially on the leaf blower. If I use any of my 6 thru 9 amp ones it lasts. I've gone 5-6 years on the bigger batteries so far and still going strong. .
3 amp is by far too small....I hear ya....
That PackOut set was $219 less than a year ago.
@@oldmanmerc High fives! 🖐️. I remember.
Amazon has the Metabo HPT drill and impact kit with two 2.0s and a charger for $107 right now. Pretty solid deal.
Hey Jeff, it was great meeting you and your wife last month. On that 2 drawer Whirlpool refrigerator, I passed on that 2 drawer model for 2 reasons. The single drawer model has an internal drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator which you can see into when the French door are open, and like you said, the single drawer is cheaper, why pay for that extra external drawer. The 2nd reason is the ice water & ice dispenser. My family uses a lot of ice, and the 2 drawer model has baby sized ice bin on the door whereas the single drawer had a large internal mounted ice bin which takes up some refrigerator space, but we prefer not to run out of ice. You need to compare the models closely, some of them have a single lever for ice and water which you need to make your selection with a separate button before dispensing, I like the 2 lever, no accidental dispensing the wrong thing, ever try dispensing ice into a glass with water already in it, splashes all over.
We have a 3rd drawer french door fridge. Drinks go in that drawer and ut can be set to it's own temp.
Worth it, though a little space is lost. We have a garage fridge so not a big deal for us
You mispoke at one point on the waukee deal you buy the tool and get the 5.0 bagtery for free not as good of a deal as buying the battery and then getting a free tool personally id pass they often have deals where u buy a battery and get free tools often worth more than the battery bad tool deals for labor day thats for sure
I just bought the Ryobi 18v 4.0 twin pack of batteries at Home Depot in the store $89.10 with military discount 10% $79.10 out the door. Score!!!
That middle drawer on the fridge is nice if you have little children thats where we put their snacks and drinks. Easy to reach for them
I admit the front load washers are a huge waste of $ I bought 1 of the first maytag admirals and I’ve put 2 sets of bearings in it, maytag doesn’t sell the bearings they want you to buy the entire tub! For at the time was 3/4 of what I paid for the washer plus I could have bought a new top load for just over 1/2 the price of the tub! Luckily I found info on changing the bearing and seal online and the parts only cost me about 80$ and my really good handyman friend helped me change them out for about 100$
The rigid tool box set was $109 on sale for the stack 3 years ago. They are indestructible but soo expensive now.
Inflation being "under control" means that it's going up less crazily, but still going up. Things are double or more now, yeah.
The second drawer on a French door fridge like that is really good to put drinks and that sort of thing in then that way you’re just opening that drawer for a quick second to grab something to drink instead of opening your entire fridge and taking up shelf space or at least that is the type of thing we use them for
Husky storage totes are very well built and can take decent weight being stacked on top of each other.
22:20 those flywheel type of log splitters worked very well. They usually don’t have as high capacity as hydraulic ones but they are faster… perfect for a homeowner with a little bit of land that cuts down a tree once in a wow for firewood to use at home. Just like any piece of equipment or farm implement with moving parts, you need to check the flywheel and belt/chain for wear periodically. I’m glad to see these coming down in price. if you’ve got a major firewood operation, even as a side hustle hydraulic splitter is going to be your best bet for regular heavy duty use. The one recommendation I have for this, RYOBI is that you build some sort of table or stand for it to get it off the ground…. Nobody wants to be kneeled on the ground or hunched over to use this thing constantly.
The whirlpool metal drawer is the beard drawer.
I have an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, and dryer and haven't had any issues with any of them.
I miss the bear. 🐻
The pull out drawer is surprisingly handy we use it a lot
Not to be that person, but my parents bought an LG front loading stacked washer dryer 3 years ago and haven't had to maintain it. It was about $1400 on sale. So not bad 3 years in.
I'm having a much different experience with my Milwaukee Quik-Lok gear. If you always keep the throttle on high, then yes, you'll chew through batteries. If you keep it on low speed, that's PLENTY of power to string trim or hedge trim... or even use the edger. I can do all the edging and string trimming on my 1.0 acre lot using 1 8.0aH battery. I can get through MOST of it with a 6.0 aH battery. I still love mine.
Love my Milwaukee quik lok, 3 years on 2 8.0 batteries. Have pole saw and hedge trimmer attachment as well as the string trimmer.
Also in Florida so basically using year round. Never going back to gas
I only have a m12 2.5ah and a m18 2.0 but well over 100 charges and no noticeable drop in battery life being used in a high speed ratchet, high torque, a cheapo glue gun, and a drill. But I think its worth pointing out I am using a regular charger(in a temp controlled area as well) not a rapid or supercharger and I typically don't let them get below 2/4 lights before I throw them on the charger. think thats the only reason they've held up so far for me.
Blink cameras are awesome works great with the Lex I got two houses covered with them
My wife and i want the pne with the extra drawer. For us the idea is that would be a drawer for kids stuff snacks drinks ect. Little ones try to open regular fridge drawer and we are worried itll get left open.
Habitat for humanity store has the brooms regular priced at $10 dollars
My neighbor has actual refrigerator and warming drawers and that makes sense but to me not so much in the actual fridge. They also have a separate Sub Zero fridge and freezer that sit side by side and that is awesome because you get a ton of room. I love my front load washers but in my heart I know you are probably right about them. LOL. Have a Bosch dishwasher and it's awesome.
Cool comment and elaborate description of your machine/utility/ correct word sorry..but nice explanation
Respect always
I have used premium exterior glidden and it is good but too runny. I have used the high end Behr and it is too thick. I am about to try the lower priced Behr (one notch above Glidden premium). I am hoping it is a happy medium for how it spreads and doesn't drip etc.
I had a Kitchenaid dishwasher for 15 years before it started leaking from underneath. I narrowed brands down to Bosch, Miele, and Kitchenaid. Miele was a the priciest (their low end is most brand's high end), and the Kitchenaid had the best rack setup for me, but I went with Bosch because of a counter clearance issue. So far so good. I don't like the rack tines/layout as much but it is supposed to be among the most reliable and that is most important.
We've been Bosch only (except for one house that only had a mini-sized slot) for decades. Very reliable and among the quietest. The local repair guy really slagged the Miele, said they've been much higher frequency in needing repairs.
Can someone fill me in on what he was eluding too in the comment about the Dewalt 780 miter saw? I have been waiting for that to go on sale for awhile and was about to buy it
I love my middle drawer.
I've been subscribed for a few years, love the channel! I was a little surprised when I saw you in Collector Car Feed's live stream! Those guys are hilarious!
I have a 2018 version of the whirlpool refrigerator with the extra drawer. It’s nice, but it was nice at $150ish more on a Black Friday sale. At the price in the video, pass on it. I use mine for lunch meat, cheeses, tortillas and the like. It’s a larger deli/veg drawer.
I have the string trimmer. You have to use the big batteries, but I like it so far
Ridgid for the win! I have about 12 various Ridgid boxes and love them for the price vs the red option. They have been increasing the lineup, but has nowhere near the options that Milwaukee has. Overall very happy with them
And I mostly have Milwaukee power tools! And, and, and they aren't blazing red yelling steal me, steal me, steal me:/
Ridgid is the right fit on the value vs build quality scale.
Greedflation not inflation
Blank check congress flation
Hey Bear, you mentioned the folding table cost, check out anything made of plastic. The Brute trash cans and plastic shed prices are through the roof.
Hey, you got your neon sign fixed. Awesome
The pull out refrigerator draw is great for fruits and vegetables! Quick easy access for when you only want a fruit for a snack or vegetables for cooking. This prevents your beer, milk and juices from losing it cold while you are fishing around for produce.
I have that Husky build out it’s awesome! I use it to store my Camping stuff it’s very durable and I prefer it then my Milwaukee pack out. I just wish they came out with drawers.
Got to have the drawers or no sale!
Skip the fancy looking Washing Machines and Dryers. We bought the Speed Queens with simple controls in 2021. 3 years on well water with just a softener inline and they are incredible. The dryers are so hot and finish in 1/4th the time as out Samsung. They are back looking and you can get the new digital ones but I’m telling you that the manual control versions are incredible. We paid $1800.00 for the set and had to literally shop 10 places to get them back then.
Wife swears by the speed queen as well
FYI, the Ryobi compact HP line is the exception to the rule of the HP line, at least for the drill and impact. The compact are not quite as powerful and will overheat if used more. Also, the impact could really benefit from a 4-mode version as it is difficult to use it with finesse on smaller jobs.
Ryobi has a 4 mode impact driver..only 1 tho...good tool...and impact wrenches hp are good quality
9:28 wow…at these prices the toughsystem 2.0 looks better than the packout. I do have some packout but ended up supplementing with the Link system. No, it’s not built as well and the dewalt or Milwaukee but it’s help up just fine. I do like the Ridgid stuff as well for their extended flexibility being able to use the dolly on different boxes
Wd40 cleans spray foam up if it’s still wet.
I did get my chair out of the trash!
what deals with LOWE's have ??
i shop at both but i need some stuff from them.
Just randomly came across this video. Hello fellow iowan!
no deals here and hd going down fast!
You can get a Herman Miller chair for a little more. Not Aeron but other chairs are as good.
bring back the bear for one video!!
Bear is dead, or at least the laptop that has the software that makes the bear.
There is a video on it but the tldr - Bear software is owned by another company. He had it licensed for a computer - he tried to relicense it for a new computer - They wanted den of tools to pay crazy subscription money to move it to new computer - he passed on it - that computer one day died… he decided it was expensive to pay for access to bear that we would still not own… so he had to let the bear go. 😢
I miss the bear too but getting to know Jeff has been good.
It ain't gonna happen. Jeff explained why.
AOSU rocks for solar cameras
15:19 also, I believe they are replacing these with Gen2 models of these soon.
My LG front loader is 17 years old and never had anything done to it
What brand of chair are you sitting on in this video?
This one: tinyurl.com/28y9c72t
@@denoftools Thank you.
This is actually a good sponsor video with that chair, not that goofy Chinese knockoff electronics and tools from Amazon. But I’m still more disappointed in the fact that we don’t get to see the bear anymore 😅
Den Of Tools seemed to have forgotten their base - we are here for T-O-O-L-S
On smarthome devices like cameras and doorbells, time to go full on against anything requiring a cloud connection or subscription. No more Ring anything for me.
Whirlpool refrigerator ice makers don't work. Ours and my inlaw's have stopped working.
Yes, those front load washers look great but performance is far below traditional top loaders.
I have a short wife and she can't reach the bottom of a top load washer we looked at them but she basically had to crawl into it to get the stuff off the bottom
People who repair dishwashers know what they repair alot, but they don't necessarily have an accurate sense of how common each appliance is out in the world at any given time. It could be regional or what company they work for.
They'll see repairs needed for both unreliable and very common washing machines. It is true that many front loading washers can be unreliable, but top loaders aren't as common as they used to be so it can skew perception that they are more reliable than they are. Top loader designs can also be unreliable. I'd look to reliable brands/models rather than front vs top loaders.
Starting around 14:10 talking about DeWalt's prices, "glad to see them coming back to earth. Just worried about why they're coming back to earth. I think you probably all understand that one."
Maybe all except me. What does that mean?
I just asked the same question above and am about to buy that exact saw
Front load washers are statistically more reliable washers then top loaders. You're giving bad information on washers. Just watch Yale appliances videos. I just got a new LG front loader and it been flawless and the Whirlpool that I replaced was over 21 years only. Never had an issue.
Just looked at the 6 pack 5' poseable skeletons - $199. It was $149 on yours. What gives?
Sales at Home Depot are more like regular price. I didn't see anything that I would consider on sale.
Beer drawer
Bring back the bear.
Not going to happen
Cost out of control, and value is way less for more money 😢😢
What happened to your alter ego? You know, the bear. He was a bit more balanced.
There is a video on it but the tldr - Bear software is owned by another company. I miss the bear too but getting to know Jeff has been good.
Not true. The bear was deported back to Russia.
@@leeb.7188 Listen man - One evening after the camera was off… the Bear started going on about how supposedly there was just one company making all brands of storage boxes and next morning he was gone. 🤷♂️
I'm ready, I'm ready
Frontloader washers are a terrible practical joke on the naive and gullible.
most of the home depot sales have been the same sale they have been having for weeks....
Do not buy any appliance that has GE on the front of it. We had a home built and the contractor put in all GE products and within three years they all had to be replaced pure junk.
These on screen links are annoying. Please stop!
It's not inflation it's company greed and record profits. Price gouging
