Ricardo Afonso é um incrível cantor!! 🇵🇹
Beyond impressive !!! Love it! Sounded so intense!!
Hello 👋 how are you doing
A lot of people judge covers by the lead vocalist, but has anyone else noticed how perfect the rest of the band ever is? This is seamless for every song of their’s that I have heard so far.
He has a very broadway musical type of voice. I personally like it alot, but I get that it isn't the same as the original.
Have to agree there. I played the Rainbow version first then this and it's hard to tell the difference.
this sounds like original song.
What is with official vocalist from Mexica?
Oh yeh!! I like this cover better than the original. Everything is just better, tighter, crisper, cleaner. whatever else I can't think of to describe the performance.
Now THIS is what a tribute band should sound like! I’m impressed with their ability to replicate the sound we are used to hearing from the original recording. Vocal harmonies were spot-on, instruments were as well. Nicely done!
@@JupiterThunder Try listening to it a minute earlier. It will be fine - Clothears!
Have you wondered Walt like me if they are songwriters as well, that would be the icing on the cake 😁🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🎸👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
A tribute band should take note of the original song and songwriters which in this case was not the band called Rainbow who only did a cover of the original.
Better than the original. Just add it Ritchie Blackmore and Roger Glover to perfect it
@@MrPlecemanvpd Cover of a cover...
This lead singer is fantastic! Incredible harmony, too!
Ricardo Afonso!! Incrível cantor! 🇵🇹
The background vocals are pretty solid as well.
Said this before. This is the best cover i have ever heard. The band back in 2016 were absolutely out of this world. Still brilliant now in 2023 also
Brian May and his band did a version of this. I thought his take was fantastic. The backup singers sold it for me.
I say “LOL”🎉
I prefer Rainbows cover.
Что это за группа ? Название please .
Что это за группа ? Name please .
These guys never miss. Always a flawless performance.
Damn!! HUGE Rainbow/Graham Bonnet fan, but this band HOLDS THEIR OWN! Bravo! 🙌🤘
Graham is not an easy voice to copy but he nailed it.
Hello 👋 how are you doing
I've got goose bumps and a adrenaline rush from hearing this song.i was in my late teens or very early twenties when this song came out from Richie Blackmore's"rainbow".I'll be turning 60 this coming September but I still love this song and you guys nailed it.from my ❤️"thank you"!
Russ Ballard - Since You've Been Gone (Supersonic, 1976)
it aint theirs...
@@DarkoP9.13 Who said it was theirs? The fact is Rainbow did a much better version than Ballard's original.
Yeah! I saw Rainbow in 1978 when they opened for REO Speedwagon. Still crank their tunes up. Really miss Dio, though.
Something Special Special, Brilliant Band and great memories ! Thank you Rainbow.
Every single person on that group could be a music star with no exceptions! Show business does not depends only of talent, but this is how real stars meet all together and run some MAGIC! Thanks to exist guys! Looking forward to see you guys in Brazil soon!
Your right
Showbusines is loads of shit but this is true stagecraft and proper music not some talentless made up young stars.
Song writing is the most important factor.
Brilliant , I think this the best Classic Rock Show Band!
This song never gets old!
Never will 👍
Just like dead babies
Found this in dec 2020. I’m old. Love this song, merry Christmas to me. God Bless.
Found it today... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never too old for same good music ;)
I absolutely Love seeing all the older, gray haired folks in the audience. As one of them, we know the greatest music in history is in our past, that came out when we were young. And we can still rock to it, even if it embarrasses our kids.
Don't you mean especially if it embarrasses our kids 😂
Too true !! I'm 62 now and I've been lucky to have worked in the music and TV industry for over 43 years and these covers bring back so many great memories of very long days and nights working on pre tour rehearsals, and live gig recordings. Wouldn't swap my experiences for anything. These guys and gals rock !!!!!
I've always found the crowds to be energyless even when the music is amazing
I'm 80 still love this 😀
So very, very true! lol
Best of the Best...
Amazing ensemble and I love how they keep such a tight format with many of the same excellent members. If you like Rock music, you gotta love these great folks.
I looked at this probably 100 times and it is fantastic
This is a brilliant version, they really do it justice
It's October 2021 and I just discovered this group. Shame on me!
They are absolutely amazing!!!
same here amazing
Never too late
Shame! Glad that rest of your life will be 2021 times better!
They are great! I saw them 3 years ago and they were fantastic.
Only discovered them myself 6 months ago. What a voice and what a band and this cover i can never stop hearing
NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL ENTERTAINEMT.
It just doesn't get any better than this. I must have watched this 50 times over the past 6 months. And look forward to the next 50 as well : )
I hope you can get to San Diego sometime.
YOUR THE BEST
Thank you so very much,
Skip Banks
Skip same as you and i am in Berlin. Just hope they get here sometime. Play this time and time again. What a singer though
...hats off to the vocals ...backing voc...guitars ... drums... everything and anything at all in this show....❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍
This dude's voice... just wow!
Unless you hear Graham Bonnet's on this song....
Who is singer
@@mattbishop1612 Ricardo Afonso He's back in the line-up 2023
this group is absolute magic deserves more SUBS!!!
I've watched this video so many times that I've lost count, best cover ever🤘🤘
Most cover bands should be banned from singing great songs. This one is if you cloned Rainbow. It would be a killer concert to see them open for Rainbow. Then play with them. That would be a concert that I wouldn't want to leave.
No Rainbow's version was the best cover ever...
I'm almost 60 and can say this is one of the best songs of my youth.
Keep rocking man, life is short
I'm half age of you and can say this is one of the best songs ever
Sammy i am a young 65 mate, and boy what a cover
@@davidwilliamgay4821 Agreed!
@@davidwilliamgay4821ex
The female backing singer is magnificent at harmony ,just listen to her.All band are outstanding!
Emily Gervers is the lady. She is brilliant and especially so when she was in the Rumours of Fleetwood Mac band, who have plenty of content on RUclips
THAT batch of vocalists...no, WAIT... that whole band:
Dang, y’all! 😍🤩
Rainbow inis my favorite band of all time, I cannot find any version as good as this one
Nostalgia! Thank you for paying tribute to this era! I was 13 when this song was released. Great job everybody
I was 17. Still working out how this wasn't a major hit in Australia, although The Bee Gees and Meatloaf would have been difficult to beat. 👍😁🤣🍺
I must confess that before the GoTG 3 trailer I didn't know the song, now it's one my favorites. And this cover is a terrific one.
This takes me back. My childhood guitar teacher was a huge Blackmore fan so I learned a lot of Rainbow & Deep Purple songs. I knew how to play this particular song before I'd ever heard it.
Your guitar teacher have good taste! 😊
It is not a Rainbow song, they did a cover of it.
These vocals are insanely spot on. Great cover.
Almost, almost as good as the original - it’s damn close!
Good Yes ~ but He ain't no Graham Bonnet and the Drums ain't no Cosy Powell
Everything is spot on.
@@pauljbutler7756 They're not supposed to be you utter tosspot. Its a freakin' cover band! It's Cozy* btw.
@@Zepplin559 better!
My wife and I were in the balcony at the 'Phil' for this concert. The whole band were outstanding. A great night.
Mike Loyley Great that you both enjoyed it. Wish i was there. Cheers.
Best Classic Rock Show lineup of all time...... in my opinion😊
One of my absolute favorite songs perfectly presented by the classic Rock show👌 I would love to see a live concert from you...but it's not that easy from Germany! You guys are totally awesome! Keep up the good work!
Up until now, I could never listen to anyone else but Graham Bonnet perform this song. Awesome. Thank you for paying this song the respect it deserves.
rainbow where's ritchy?
Golferfitness This is still weak compared to Bonnet and further ruined by the obligatory woman.
Tru Tru yr so right Graham was great and these guys do justice to legendary rainbow
No ! There's one who did a good job ; Check out Brian May 's 1993 live at the brixton rock academy .There's one good version of it ,with Cozy Powell on drums . At least in my opinion
Yeah Graham (CLASSIC) Bonnet.
This is how you do a classy live performance, no over dramatics, just effortless confidence.
I would emphasize confidence. This is how it should be done. The backing vocal girl is out of this world. Agree with you.
@@laurilinask386 yes, she's in Rumours of Fleetwood Mac too, singing the Christine McVie vocals and bloody good too !!
When you have talented musicians like the guys in this video, there's no need for over dramatics!!
pretty damned spectacular all around.
effing brilliant
this lineup was the best! miss them.
Awesome cover ! Hats off to the whole band.
Best cover ever of any old rainbow ..I should know Joe Lynn Turner is my uncle he loves these guys and gals.the best for sure
Paul Aiuto I don’t know bout that. I seen an interview with him and he was upset he didn’t get the call from Ritchie. He had a lot of rough things to say.
Very well said!
Hats off with you. The backing vocals girl is not of this world! Just cover your ears and listen to her alone, amazing.
Without doubt the best artist lineup the Classic Rock Show has had. Brilliant.
Great band ! Serious and tight. Thank you all for sharing your gifts.
Such a powerful and clean performance - You guys Rock! \m/
Wow, this is great, one of the best if not the best cover of this song, singers and band members. Thank you for uploading

Kudos to these guys.
One of my all time favorite songs. It reminds me of a boy with hormones running through his veins in the late 70’s. What an awesome songs. It brings back so many memories.

Then it's how you cover a cover song :D
@ Kevin Short... thanks for turning me on to this version... people don't realize just how many covers Ritchie has recorded with Deep Purple, Rainbow, and now Blackmore's Night.

Sorry but........
" "Since You Been Gone" is a song by Rainbow *written by former Argent guitarist Russ Ballard and first released on his 1976 album Winning.* It was produced by Roger Glover."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Since_You_Been_Gone
I suspect you are getting confused with "All night long" , which was co written by Glover and Blackmore.
Roger Glover did not write this song, he produced It. The song was written by singer and guitarist Rus Ballard formerly from the band Argent.
Many of Ballards songs have been covered. Songs like ''You Can Do Magic", recorded by America. "God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You" by Kiss and many more.
How can you take this song to such degree of perfection?
Jose, i play this time and again. What a cover this is, and apart from the brilliant musicians , what a voice. Dave in Berlin
There is a "perfection" button on american mixing consoles.
They did didnt they. Brilliant
They did but I think rainbow beat them to the post 🤪😜
@@davidwilliamgay4821 07903 912431 p000oo0o0ppo0op0
Simply and totally outstanding.
This is pretty damn good for a cover song. You can here it in their voices, they are getting lost in the moment and letting the music take over. That is what music is all about, what the song does for the individual emotionally. It’s cathartic and good for the soul.
Musically A Grade!!! And the lead singer is a fantastic one , and don't forget the backing vocals 👏 🙌
Wow! What a great cover! Wish I'd been in that crowd, it looks like a blast! We need more of this. Nobody and I mean NOBODY is writing music like this anymore.
Looked like the crowd had already passed.
One of the best covers i"ve ever heard.
This is the best line up of the CRS great voices, great musicians, and one hell of a band.
Ok, I am a die hard Rainbow fan and pretty hard on any cover of classic rock. These guys nailed it ! Amazing cover!
You know it was a cover for rainbow as well?
@@tavspop Thanks so much, I recently checked out the original from Russ Ballard. Absolutely love discovering good 70s/80s music that I haven't heard before - great stuff!
I can easily relate and dedicate this song by these excellent musicians to our loss of freedom in 2020.
"Since you've been gone"
How poetic
Skip, just hope we have the chance to see this brilliant band again
"Loss of freedom"? How pathetic.
I love it when a cover puts you in the position of deciding whether you like it, or, the original better. Awesome job, awesome.
This is a cover of the rainblow cover. The original was by russ ballard
@@MrMaynardWR , I never knew that. I went and listened to it, and its slso very good. All three groups did it justice, but only one wrote this awesome song. My hat is off to Russ Ballad. Thanks for straightening me out.

Really?
This just made me check out a Rainbow clip, I bought this when it first came out, and the Rainbow version knocks the socks off this admittedly good cover.

An EXCELLENT performance of one of the very best rock tunes from the late 1970s!!!!!

Apart from CCR, Rainbow are the best ever. Brings back good memories. The group is timeless. Thank you ever so much.
Absolutely amazing cheers guys...what a band!!!
Their energy is infectious on this cover.
Russ Ballad is the original of this song. His version is very good too. Sung more like the guy who wrote the song after the breakup, but still has that sound that makes the song a hit.
I am going to head east to see the classic rock show!
The Women who sings backup, Take a listen to her voice!
OMG it is amazing
Common Sense, that's the super-talented and lovely Emily Jollands! Listen to Emily sing a solo performance of Rhiannon on Utube backed by the band . Sensational.
@@mikebarnard7957
I really like this cover ....and I think it is even better than ori ....but ....sorry, the backing vocals are good and she looks alright but that version of "rhiannon" is, IMO, really horrible
that rendition is totally lacking in emotion and she sounds like she took a handle bar (or 2) 20 minutes prior to singing ....of course it is really a tough song to cover because of the danger of being compared to the incredible Ms Nicks
no offense intended
Just noticed..she reminds me of tessa niles.
That’s Emily from Rumours of Fleetwood Mac! Check out their band and you will be blown away.
think that shes on video of lion sleeps tonight cannot remember groups name tho
Standing on the shoulders of greatness. These guys nailed it.
AMAZINGGGG!! Incredible voice AND musicians!!
Love the vocals! I liked the whole song. Super job
The best cover I have heard ever and 10 points for the band Neil bonnet eat your heart out
Ahem… Lead vocals were by Graham Bonnet
You get more talent from a cover band than most of the big names in the "music industry" nowadays.
How true!
Sing It, Leonid and Friends, Classic Rock Show, Lexington Lab Band, and the list goes on. And notice none of these groups use autotune.
Without a doubt. This is non existent in “today’s” music industry.
Brilliant cover of an absolute Power hose classic song. The Rainbow line up that did the original were awsome talents This is by far the finest cover I have heard of it. Notoriously difficult song to cover but these guys ( and girl) have nailed it. Brilliant.

This is the best version of this beloved song. This is who should be in Rainbow now. His tone and inflection are wonderful, and yes she is wonderful. Nobody has ever loved Rainbow more than me, but I'm also objective.
Rainbow did a cover of the song, it is not theirs
I love your approach to teaching. It’s so relatable.
this singer does very well
So cool. I was a huge Rainbow fan during the 70's, since the first two albums came out. I'm amazed the chick in the audience is singing a Rainbow song. This song did better than I thought. I didn't think they became popular until Joe Lynn Turner and the Stone Cold stuff. Cool!
Since you been Gone was a massive hit in Europe, Rainbow in general but JLT an American appealed to Americans
Not a Rainbow song, they did a cover of the original in 1979
