Hey! nitpicky teen here. gotta say thir real quick, this actually isn't asgore's geno theme. bergentruckung is actually the neutral route. his geno theme is King of Nothing. and two, asgore to me is a very sad and torn old fool, having to believe that this is all for the benefit of monsters, but can't bring himself to take this last soul, because he's too scared about what he would do. he's worried that all this power would corrupt him, and so that's why he lets the player's soul break. it's up to you to break the barrier. he feels hopeless... even worthless.

Holding on to the world as he couldn't die. "Each day ending with no goodbye" Then the player enters a pacifist route "Suddenly presented with compassion" I could be completely wrong. Maybe it's all about Frisk killing everyone or sparing everyone. But either way. Edit: Yellow Flowers Crimson dyed could be the bed of yellow flowers in the ruins, covered in blood when Asriel fell down.
I absolutely loved this it shows the sympathetic elements in king asgore he doesn’t want to kill you he feels like he has to for those he rules over in fact during his fight he puts gaps in the circles of flames he makes even though he easily could close that gap surrounding the player with no hope to avoid his attack
Shy I have a suggestion. Since this is more of a sad song, what if you did a more upbeat and happy version using Bereavement? Whenever I hear Bereavement it makes me think of Frisk staying determined while fighting Asgore.

I'd say that Sans would be perseverence He perseveres through his fight and doesn't give up, even if he knows that he has no chance to win He knows that when he fought against Flowey, he could make him quit by fighting the exact same way, to make him endure a long fight, break his will by making him load, again and again, until he becomes bored and gives up So, he tries the same thing with you, except you never lose your determination

The saddest part about Asgore is that... He HAS to die, atleast once. No one else HAS to killed, and for a pasifist/true pasifist no one else CAN be killed. Except Asgore. Asgore MUST die. Even if you reset, its a fairly lingering theme that resets dont mean it never happened. He always dies, whether its by your hand or his own- to free you. It just adds to the tragedy that is his character IMO. Its not untill he's confronted by _Monsters_ that he sees its possible to lay down weapons. Personally i think he was just waiting and hoping for Monsters to challenge, or otherwise express interest in ending the war. Else he would march on believing its what they wanted.
Listening to this, I ended up imagining a fight with this as the theme.. and guess what? It’s just like what Asgore has to deal with. He’s forced himself to complete a goal he never wanted in the first place.
This is just lovely, I recently got into Lo-fi and just been enjoying how calm and relaxing/beautiful it all is. Great song Shy it really moved me. ^~^

i always like watching or listening to things involving Asgore there just not a lot of content for the poor guy though i understand after all u dont see him until the very end and then he is overshadowed pretty quickly by flowey
