You deserve a lot more hits Emer. A lovely song and a very good production. The audio is spot on. Did you record it in a studio? 🎹

Michael Crowe thanks. yes, the backing tracks was recorded in Danny Parks studio Nashville. and I recorded the vocals at home. The track was produced by Peter Ware. 😊

I sort of guessed that....but your vocal recording at home is brilliant...Do you use an XLR Microphone with an interface..I struggle with audio editing and can never get the sound I want. I just use a Rode USB microphone...(I'll put your video on the Country Music Group on Facebook)...

I use a Shure Beta 58A with the Focusrite interface. However I just record the vocal without any effect and send it to Pete and he is the one who produced the lovely sound that is on the finished recording.

Emer...this is all new to me...but XLR with an interface are better than the USB microphones....I didn't want anything complicated so I opted for USB Microphone and do all my own editing on a free program called Audacity....most of the time it's just hit and miss with me but I notice some of the young folks on here have it down to a fine art. I notice now when I upload a video YT reduces the volume by 3 to 4 db after 2 to 3 days. So just to summarise you get Pete to do the backing track..you sing to the backing track and send the "dry" vocal file to him to edit and master the final recording with the b/t...It sounds really good....I used to follow a lot of the country bands a few years ago but i got tired...A lot of them sound the same...I was around during the showband era...and there were so many really good musicians in those bands...
