I just love your videos Thom and also love listening to you, very interesting content and such a nice voice, please keep doing this kind of vidéo, it is à pleasure ! 🙂 also the work you do is very well done and I like that very much, thank you 👍🙌👏
You are a wise man that knows your own limits! Whatever you post is your choice. You are an interesting character, and I for one will watch what interests me whether it is yard work, wood working, construction projects, whatever! You make it all very interesting with the narration! Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. Prayers said for the family who lost their loved one also.
It was good to see a recap of the pampras grass episode, since you took on this project, you have brought the property back to life and looking like a million dollars, you've poured your heart and soul into this and it shows how much you care about what you do, I'm very sure that the home owner is proud of what you have done and hopefully soon he and his daughter can be outside to enjoy it with you, thanks for sharing this video segment Thom James, from Susquehanna Pennsylvania
Enjoying the recap like many here. Don't mind youy nattering away while we watch either. As for vids of the other projects, (like wood turning), ......heck yea put it out here! I know some people are yard junkies and this project you are doing for the vet has been a junkies dream...LOL. However, you can't possibly keep this kind of thing going all the time. I understand that. Fact is, I sometimes feel worn out just watching you tackle it. You got a dedicated viewer what ever you feel like showing. Heck maybe you can talk your wife into letting you film her fixing her specialty or signature recipe. Blessing to you and yours.
haha, sorry to wear you down Doc, that was funny. I'm really trying to get my wife to participate, she's very shy but I'm working on it. Thanks again Doc.
I like watching ur huminitarian work for people realy need help, ur such agood person Thom wt big heart keep doing wot uthink ur happy to do and make others happy too, more blessing 4those peole like u 💓💓💓💓
I hope that you will go on many years with this property and that one day there will be a nice grass and some flowers and that you can enjoy a cup of tea with the daughter and his father and admire the fabulous work you have accomplished. You are a vey nice man. Sincere condoleance to the familly. From Paris (France not Texas !!!)
Happy New Year to you and your family. When I was a kid ( many moons ago ), I remember a friends dad wanting to get rid of a huge pampas grass. He was told he should set it on fire - so he did !! Rather large flames and a visit from the fire brigade, and it regrew!!
I enjoy your videos. I'm a 56 year old widow in the Badlands of North Dakota and I'm recently disabled. I watch because I miss outdoor work and you're a hard worker. Ignore the nay sayers...you are not a flashy guy. Let RUclips pay you for drawing subscribers...we want to check out what equipment you use/review.
Totally love your giving back in this way. Thanks so much. Enjoying the recap!! I’m sure that I will love to see whatever you decide to put up. Love to watch woodworking.
People have become so cynical. Probably because there are so many that are doing this for the love of money. It is not difficult to discern those who do it with pure intentions from the heart. You sir, are a blessing to those who know you. God bless
I do agree that sometimes the love of money is a bad thing, however, if a person is putting up good videos and being honest, more power to them. Thanks Lisa.
This is the second video of this series I guess you call it. On the first one I watched I did comment and I forgot to say to send my condolences to the family. Loosing his wife I'm sure was traumatic enough but doing it over Christmas must have been horrible. In regards to the mailbox, I look forward to a woodworking video of doing that. Have a great day and Happy New Year!
Wow that looks great now the pampas grass has gone. I would enjoy watching you do wood working. I love to see how things turn from 1 thing to something else. Keep up the great work. Best wishes from Tasmania 👋
I am sure that the VA has some sort of list and it does the heart good to know that you, as a veteran yourself, are supporting your comrades. Happy New Year!
Omg….pampas grass is the devil. The house we currently live in had at least 12 pampas grass plants, that had been planted across the front of our property. My husband and I didn’t like them and decided cut them and pull out the roots. My goodness, what a job. It was the hardest yard work I had ever done. It was awful. I wouldn’t ever want to do that again.
Great recap and love seeing the progress. After seeing you struggle with that Pampas grass I will NEVER understand why anyone would plant that stuff! Great determination & awesome job!! Send my condolences and heartfelt sympathy and prayers for this family in their loss of wife & mother! So so sorry! Happy New Year, and God Bless you!
Pampas Grass is great when you keep it controlled. Or plant it where you want to have it blow up and block the view. But when it grows unattended, it grows alright!
@@ThomsSimpleLife I am still physically able to control the one by the road, but I am thinking about planting them along the fence line in the back of my small farm. With other natural 'walls'.
Happy New Year Thomas. Enjoyed the recap of the front Pampas removals. Looking forward to seeing you tackle the back yard again. By spring you will have that entire yard looking fantastic. Stay healthy, stay happy.

Get that composite wood as they won't rot.It looks like wood but isn't.The map shows Va getting most of that snow.We were 78 yesterday and 44 tomorrow!!!
You know Tom from the moment I started to watch your videos I knew you were genuine and not doing this for money or advertisement to benefit you in any kind of adventure but to genuinely be a giver and a helper. I watch you work and can just imagine what your heart feels like when you are doing this and it makes me feel good in the work that I do. I also am a giver and never request anything back, but the feeling of giving is much more than money can buy, but most of all I am so grateful that I am in a spot to be able to give and not working for that money. I love your voice as your comments about what you are doing for the disabled and how you use your time. You do not have to explain yourself to people who question your giving. I sure wish that there were more people who could give what they can when they can. Like Dionne Warwick's song sang....What the world needs now is love sweet love.
PG Tips enjoyed the vid I’m sure you will find another project . Nice to be slow and steady keeps u going look forward to u finishing the back . Take care 🙏🏻👏👏👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Are you going to continue Fred? Will you be able to get your 20 years in? AP/SF, good deal. I was a jet mechanic in the first half of my career, 1976 to 1988. Came back in '03 into the Reserves and was SF, went to Lackland to school for CATM and got right back on active duty orders until I reached my 60th birthday and 20 year mark.

Happy New Year. I don’t think there is anything wrong with people making money off of RUclips for any reason , I do understand your position on it everyone does their own thing.
I totally agree Kathy, if a person uses this platform as a business venture, I'll support them whole heartedly. I just don't happen to be one of the people who wants to do that. It might sound like I think it's bad to do but that's not the case, I think it's a great way to make a living, it's just that I'm already secure in my retirement and don't need any additional.
I don't know why people would care if it was a business. Either way the person is getting help. I get that isn't what you're doing at this stage in your life. However if it was then more power to you. It's a win win in my book. People are strange. How do they think businesses start? One thing I've learned is that you can't please everyone.
If RUclips can pay for the gas and maintenance for doing this for the vets, that's a great thing.Or even part of it. Keep doing good my friend!
