I think my favorite line was when Leon said "I can't wait to Resident Evil 4." The Japanese has a similar line that says "お尻で私をファックしてください" which roughly translates to "I'm Biohazarding RE: 4 in here." Truly a line that makes me cry every time.

I ran an independent, used music, movies, and games store when RE4 originally came out. We had the playable demo on display for about a month before the game dropped. People would stop in their tracks and watch/play this opening town section for HOURS. Crowds of strangers would gather to watch. People would scream and jump and cheer. Complete strangers became bonded over their shared marvel about the experience. I’d never seen anything like it.

I had trouble studying the zombie language because it all blends together with the disillusioned college student language.
I like that, while everyone else tries to insist that Ashley in the original game wasn't THAT annoying, dunkey plows through full speed ahead with "she's still annoying"
As far as escort missions go, I thought OG was fine unless they changed things for the steam port. You could hide her in some parts, they had her following really close, ducking when you aimed near her, she drives that truck that time. The one part that bothered me was when she runs straight into that one trap for plot convenience but everybody made it sound like she'd fully ruin the game. I think they just weren't using the right strategies
The zombie pulling out a second Molotov cocktail just to further set himself on fire broke me.
But there are no zombies D:

But Forspoken? Once it was out, mostly everyone said it was the worst kind of bad: Boring. The only lasting impression it made was that it killed the company that made it.

El Banyo is the greatest final boss of all time, it is truly a unique experience having to sneak by the final boss while he is chilling in the bathroom.

@@MichaelDoesLife An opinion is an opinion. But I can't even wrap my head around the idea that they threw this game out with no care. This game has a lot of attention to detail and quality of life changes. They took a lot of the designs and seem to have put a lot of detail into the enemies. Sure, I can agree they messed up a bit with adding more scare elements and with less action, leading to character personalities being tinkered with. This game is well put together and basically improves on all of the early game environment (I will say the later game falls a bit on the ok side). If removing one boss is what makes the reason this game is a soulless demake, then fine, but I seriously dont think it added much to the plot in the first place.
tldr, if you dont like this game, then thats fine. The original will always be there. But saying this is a soulless demake is just not right.
