OMG I LOVE THIS PLEASE DON'T EVER DELETE IT!!! I always make the "Eiiiisenhower" joke, and when people ask me "what does that mean" I show them this clip ^^
My brother gave me a choice of coins to keep but I can only choose 1 coin and I had a choice between a Kenedy coin or an Eisenhower coin, which lead me to think of this iconic episode and of course I picked Eisenhower. I even drilled a hole in my coin and wore it on my silver chain. ❤
@invalidacess I think it was The D'arcy files season eight, A; was testing Jefferson to see if he was a citizen etc in case you are still wondering lol
i'm guessing because Eisenhower was president when Al was a kid (1953~61), and thats the only one he knows ? & Eisenhower was considered a great president, because he was President after World War 2, & it was a good time for America.
Al thought Jefferson was a Russian spy and to prove that he wasn't Al tested him with naming the US Presidents to see if he was a real American. course Al only knew Eisenhower.
The 1950s are revered by middle class working white men as the last time period in which they had unbridled influence. It is the time period which Trump and Trump supporters refer to when they harken (and lament) to “make America great again!” (That being the time period which they refer to as when America was last great). Al makes reference to this point in another episode when he tells a gay man Al wishes it were still the 50s, when Ike (nickname for Eisenhower) was in the White House, women were in the kitchen and you [the gay man] were in the closet.

While this is true, these times could also be seen differently: when such a big percentage of American families could raise kids, own a house and comfortable enough life just from a single income, without even spending many years in college and universities.
Dwight !
D. !
Eisenhower !
I bet that Eisenhower was Al's favourite president.
So much so that when he cusses out Jerry Springer for asking him if he comes from 1952, he says Ike was prez even before he was elected
He just stopped watching politics during his term
He is the only president Al thinks there ever was. 😂
@@scottscage6409 Al is not up on current politics---he thinks the Mayor of Chicago is "McCheese", lol.
So much so he doesn't know any others.
This was one of the funniest episodes ever....especially the ending 😂😂😂
I was looking for that scene all over.
That's Bunny!
Yeah so funny when Dwight D. Eisenhower reveals how big "it" is in that final frame.

Jefferson passed Al's test by not knowing who was the vice president for... Eisenhower.
you are an American.
This may be my favorite joke in the entire series.
what seaosn and episode is this so i can see it all.
the best episode
Jefferson's originstory.
Its kinda contradictory though---for a guy who is supposedly an ex-CIA assassin, he sure gets knocked out cold by Marcy a lot.
Al was right all along! What true American knows most of his presidents? 😂
I know about half, the most famous ones. Most Americans do not know any president nor the national anthem.
@@edithdlp5262 Eisenhower.

A true patriot 😅

But why does Al only say Eisenhower?
Ахаха)) Мой любимый сериал.
I Like Ike
how did he not get Polk? HE WENT TO FUCKING POLK HIGH
Thats why they zoom back in at Polk. Just to rub it in :) Al is Al!
Or that he's talking to a guy named Jefferson
Kelly went to Polk High and thought it was spelled "Poke", lol.
What is the meaning of this scene? Why Al keep saying Eisenhower?
Probably just the only one he knows
He sucks at his own game.

My favorite president is by far FDR. Ed o' Neil will always be Al Bundy to me even now that he plays Sofia Vergara's husband in Modern Family.
George Washington John Adams Thomas Jefferson James k Polk
DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER !!!
Polk high school. Guess wasn't some of the student. I know all of mine croatian president. Including J. B. Tito.
I’m Canadian and I know more presidents then most Americans. I don’t think most Americans care about past presidents or the current president.
