About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

" So.....ever been a spy?"
Al Bundy is so smooth 🤣
Subtlety was always one of Al’s strong point. 🙄😄
"Interesting choice-ski, comrade!" Lmao, what a line!
Jefferson: You're a Bundy and if you put a D where the N is, you're a buddy. Al: And if you put an N where the D is, I'm a bunny.
Love it, live for ever AL and the crew !
“I don’t watch LA Law”. < crowd cheers>.. I love when they throw shade at other networks 😂
One of the best sitcoms ever on TV
Check out the sitcom the other actor in the first scene(Robert Mandan) was on. SOAP. One of the most hilarious sitcoms in history.
@@RightURKen7 yeah it was. I remember crushing on Diana Canova.
The bad photo shop is priceless!
My favorit Line in this episode is when Jefferson tells Marcy he has a secret to tell her and that he was a spy and Marcy goes “thank god, I thought you were going to say you dated Cher” and Jefferson says “well, I did but it it was just my turn”
Damn
It’s my turn can said for most women now adays

He is not wrong
@@22espec I just knew there was something about Joey Bishop lol.
Jefferson was such a great character. The show was at its peak right around this time.
Al got distracted by the content of his own question. 😂
Al: "Eiiiiisenhower..." 🤣
I saw Eisenhower written on something could only hear that name in Al's voice and came here to hear him say it lolol
“Interesting Choic-key comrade”😂
I love how Al got side-tracked at the end there!
AL is THE MAN!!!
Al saying Eisenhower is funny 🤣🤣🤣. Also the part where he says I'm a bunny is hilarious.
That's the only President he knew probably.
my dad for awhile after the show ended thought this show was from the 1950s. Thats just how they thought back then, I suppose
@@mpup54 Who was Ike's Vice President? I don't think anyone wanted to admit who that was even back then.

I like how it shows in the calendar behind him that it's April's fools day!
This is the episode were I remember Dwight D. Eisenhower. This show never gets old.
"I'll go close the blinds and you can try on anything you like" 🤣
This really is my favourite episode of the show. So many good lines. That was some writing..!
Damn this was a classic episode. It gets me depressed that we will never have this ever again. I’m gonna try to find the dvd collection asap
theyve got it on amazon
I already got all 11 seasons on the DVD boxes, and i'm not gonna lose them! 😺👍
Screw Amazon. They'll cancel it as soon as they possibly can. Get the DVDs and keep them in YOUR possession forever.
I love the way it ended too. It kind of left you wondering what if Jefferson really was a spy?

One of my favorite episodes! This twist with Jefferson D'arcy makes me laugh every time. 👍
It actually adds credibility to his character. Why would he appear out of nowhere and be with Marcy, putting up with the Bundys next door.
@@davidm4566 Yeah his character was lame at first and fans didn't accept him till around 3rd season. When this and the No'Ma'am stuff started the fans loved him
@@keldorthebluemack It did take a while for Jefferson to find his voice. I think they just didn’t know what to do with him other than being a trophy husband. What was his personality going to be? Was he going to be a Steve clone (personality wise)? I’m glad they figured out his angle. Turning him into a male version of Peg was a great idea.
@@cityhawk The difference between him and Peggy though he was really smart and clever Peggy was dumb. They all were dumb except for Bud really.Speaking on the Bundys

Greatest show of all time!
People here are saying that Jefferson obviously has a questionable past because of the end of the episode or it was just an April fools joke.
They forget that he got No Maam into a meeting with Congress to discuss the cancellation of psyco dad.
and he got to cuba to get replacement parts for the dodge, where he was standing near castro and let shot some innocent :)
And don’t forget that he was in prison for embezzling the stupid out of their money from the Lake Chicomochanaco (I think I spelled it wrong) land scam.
@@cityhawk i love that Al was actually one of the ones that had invested in that lake, so Jefferson scammed Al too, but i don't think he ever figured that out.
I love how Al has Jefferson over like he wants to talk sports or asks for advice but out of nowhere is like” so ever been a spy?”
81394 attempt of the CIA to assassinate Fidel Castro was through Jefferson D'Arcy! I knew it all along!
Which was stupid never ask a spy if he a spy they aready know u know al should shut his mouth and stay out let jeff deal with him we now know walter was the true crimeral while jeff was the true spy because he was not trading secets with fidel he was trying to kill him he was not charged with treason but fired for his failure to kill castro
My God this show was so brilliant!
I swear this episode makes me wanna watch it all over again.
Jefferson does have a questionable past prior to marrying Marcy. While not one of my favorite episodes, there's some funny parts in it- esp the closing credits scene!
I've watched this show on repeat so many times, but I never noticed the date in the background of the first scene was so prominent.
Soooo...........Ever been a spy???????? 😊
The subtlety! LOL
I am a huge fan of them. However, the directors and writers are (or were) awesome as well.Congrats to all.
You got to love Al Bundy's opinion on snitching. LoL
Straight G. I don’t talk to the law. I don’t listen to the law. He went in on someone he thought was a fed.
@@lennellwaltonboxer most important, we dont watch la law.
Al: "Big 'Uns magazine... Hooters of the month... November '88."
Jefferson: "Kimberly Nicholson, born 1969, turn ons: fast cars, walks on the beach, and young Rod Stewart. Turn offs: Men who smoke, war, and old Rod Stewart. Right?"
Al: "What's that? I'm sorry."
😹😸👍
Plot Twist: This was an April Fool’s Day joke on Al and the audience.
I wish they would have included the part where AL asks Jefferson:
Al: Who was the vice president for Dwight Eisenhower?
Jefferson: I don't know.
Al: You are an American *salutes*
Best part of this episode was when Jefferson asked if he was a spy he'd be able to have Walter killed with a phone call and later we hear a shot coming from tv as the game is going on
Yeah and later throughout the show there’s various times he’s shown to have connections to like the secret service/agent type shit
Government always tryin' infiltrate radical groups like NO MA'AM
Before Don Draper, there was Jefferson D'Arcy.
Al: "Who was vice president under president Eisenhower?"
Jefferson: "I have no idea."
Al: "Yeah, you're a true American."
Nixon!
That was probably one of the very few times I ever felt bad for Peg. Tooth aches are no joke.
One of her smallest aches of all time.
No reason to feel sorry for her. She made them all miserable all the time
@@ivanmaras6566 Yes. The only one less likable than Peggy is Marcy.
@@ZetaReticuli_ I dislike Peggy even more than Marcy
@@ivanmaras6566 I can see why. Peggy is a moocher. At least Marcy works. I understand your thoughts there. I only say I dislike Marcy more just because she is so spiteful, hateful and self-righteous.
Al was totally gonna help him crossdress.
He's a team player 👍
Only if he was J. Edgar Hoover
@@MistressGlowWorm I always heard rumors that J. Edgar Hoover was a crossdresser. Was that really true?
@@cityhawk From what I understand yes. But many dispute it.
@@MistressGlowWorm Was it because of his more conservative ways that people wanted to use that to find ways to “discredit” his reputation?

Lmao 😢 😭 🤣
Love the ending where Jefferson blows the noise maker. Yes apparently he was a spy or not…April fools…or not….
Than he went to Cuba and ask Castro for a fuel pump.
He was, he got no maam into congress without any trouble, and Fidel knew him personally.
So yes he was.
My favorite moment of the entire series. He's either a real spy or undisputed King of April Fools.
he was he made it seem like he wasn't head that guy get killed..but he told al that it was all a joke
He was definitely a spy in the CIA
'Interesting choiski, comrade' 😄

0:50 These photos are so hilariously fake, it breaks me every time lol
I wonder if MwC is making fun of "Forrest Gump", released in that same year and full of these special effects inserting Tom Hanks into historical events.
While the effects in Forrest Gump don't hold up well now, at the time they were very impressive.
I love Jefferson!!!! I think I love him more than Steve. Soooo funny!!!!
Jefferson is better than Steve
Great show. What a classic.
Calendar on wall said April 1st 🤣
Went to Polk High but is only familiar with Dwight D. Eisenhower.
"Damn your hide!!!!" I need to use that.
The only other time I’ve heard this phrase used properly is in the movie “The Bounty” when Anthony Hopkins relieves Daniel-Day Lewis of command. “DAMN YER HIDE!!”. (look up Clip : The Bounty “Second in Command”.)
Jefferson was a better character than Steve. McGinley is an underrated actor.
“Joey Bishop?” … haha
Peggy was always Hott 😍
My favorite part of the episode is when Jefferson reveals to the audience that YES he is or was a Spy.
This show would never make it to air today sadly.
Jefferson is so damn good looking.
This episode was something else. Loved it
a spy would probably be more knowledgeable of us trivia than the average american
Maybe played it stupid for “obvious reasons”.
Eisenhower....hahahah
I didnt realize then, but the calender says 1st april. So Jefferson is pranking Al 🤣
Jefferson was a much more exciting television husband than her first one, even though he didn't have a job.
Marcy made enough to provide for Jefferson. He was her eye candy househusband. I liked him a lot more than Steve.
@@leeannasloan2292Yes, she was a loan officer at a bank and made enough money for the both of them. Steve was rather boring, and didn't have the playful personality that Jefferson had.
I do remember in a different episode, Jefferson visited Castro in person to get a part for Al's car.
And the agents in DC called him Bullwinkle
The best line is " i don't talk to the law" "I don't listen to the law" "i don't watch L.A. Law."
I miss the dry acting, it works so well with certain type of comedies.
After this clip, I went to search when Jefferson went to Cuba ask Castro for a fuel pump.
Season 11: Requiem for a Chevyweight.
Eisenhower
Al Bundy is the quintessential male. Ed O'Neill deserves an Oscar.
Best show ever made
WAIT IN THE FREAKING CAR.
These clips need to be longer miss the funniest part of the the show
If the clips were longer, they would have to show the entire episode. That would discourage people from buying the DVD or watching MwC on TV/ streaming services.
Great show!!!
I wonder if somebody working on the show had the name Traugott because the car wash that lost Al's Dodge was also named Traugott's House of Scrubbin.
Love this show😂
Gots to love the Pegster, Alster and Jefferino.... :)
I recognized Robert Mandan pretty quickly. Although he lost weight since leaving Three's A Crowd he still has that James Bradford voice!
Guess he got tired of being Jack Tripper’s landlord in California (Three’s a Crowd) and moved to Chicago and advanced into law enforcement.
And don’t forget during the late 70s to the early 80s he went by the alias “Chester Tate”.
The calendar in the shoe store was a big hint
This show was incredible
This is my favorite episode
Joey bishop? He looked very dangerous. 😂
Minha serie favorita.
You realize there's a subliminal message in this episode.
???
There's an episode where Jefferson and Marcy are getting it on and Marcy says" oh God! Jefferson! Oh god!"
Jefferson replies "oh God! Jefferson! Oh god!😂
Al seeing the gun holster the shady Walter Troggett has here 1:19 and saying "I don't talk to the law, I don't listen to the law, I don't watch L.A. Law!" makes me laugh every time. That was a show that aired from 1986 to 1994 on NBC...... Fox channel's competitor.
It was on Fox Sunday night at 9pm no NBC
Classic episode
Have to give it to Al for being a friend. When the cop mentioned the 50 grand reward ... despite what it would have meant, Al didn't immediately spill the beans on Jefferson, though the cop obviously already knew that Al and he were neighbors.
Seems weird they were talking about "old rod stewart" way back then and he's still performing in 2022!
You can see its april 1st on the calendar in the store😂

My fav line in this episode is when Kelly wants the photography business to be named after her since it was her idea, and Bud says "There's already a place called In-N-Out"
"Paging Walter Trogget," "Paging Walter Trogget."
"Mr Al Bundy... paging Walter Trogget"
