To people who like to revise history and think that things were different 30 years ago...this show only survived because it was on fox, a new barely popular station, theres a reason why it wasn't on the big three networks, and still this show was almost canceled multiple times and that was without social media. People don't stop being people just because it was 30 year ago. That being said I grew up with this show and loved it but I'm also not gonna make believe this show wasn't offensive and nearly go canceled multiple times over being offensive.
With the joke on top that those who cry about cancel culture are canceling stuff they dont like for ages whenever they got a speck of influence anywhere.

This is one of the very few MWC episodes where the live studio audience is absent. Scenes with Marcy/Mandy would have taken too long to film (changing clothes, hair, etc.), so they just added laugh tracks.
They use laugh tracks all the time, for example, every time there is a reveal in editing that a studio audience would be seeing the entire time, you know, like the old, "he is standing right behind me, isn't he?" joke.

Well, South Park is still there and they offend on purpose. MWC would sure gather a lot of audience, that means money. So I still have hope that someone will come to his senses and make a reboot.

He called her a Penguin in real life because she was going to be the one to wear a tuxedo to her wedding. One of the reasons he wasn't invited to her gay wedding, also David Faustino wasn't invited either because she said, they would both just laugh during the ceremony.

The interview of her saying this is on youtube, they did not get along in real life and the insults they used in the show were actually real insults they through at each other, the writers just put them in the script. She tried to get Ed fired, but Ed was the star of the show and they threatened to fire her instead to relive tension, but Ed said no and held it above her head that he could have her fired anytime he wanted and she hated him for that!
