- Tag along with me as I follow the route of the old Sandergrove to Milang railway line. Sorry about the shaky framerates in the pans, I stuffed that bit up in editing.
The line opened in 1884 to connect the busy paddle steamer port of Milang to the Main Victor Harbor line at Sandergrove and finally closed in 1970.
Nothing remains of most of the line, although volunteers have brought the Milang waterfront back to life as a railway museum and the corridor is preserved as the Nurragi Conservation Reserve and walking trail.
Let’s go for a walk and check out what it looks in 2022.

Wow... My best friend, Nice video... Beautiful place Enjoy watching this video... Have a nice day.
Awesome mate. I’m seeing places I’ve never heard or driven past and not taken any notice of. Hell, I’m even learning a thing or two. Great vid again bro!
Thanks for watching! I'm learning too!
This is a line I could see reopening as a 2ft narrow gauge line from sand Grove to Milang
That would be gr8, if the powers that be, Milang Museum, Steamranger, even the N.R.M, who knows what may become for a future Tourist Train
Does 351 still run and why do people have to deface signs it makes no seance to me great vid.
351 no longer runs. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Still got that scar on big toes from a broken long neck beer bottle in lake alexandrina at Milang from the 70s
Ouch!
I always thought this line branched off at Finniss?
I ended up at Finniss on my first exploration even though I was looking for Sandergrove. Typical SAR, plonk a station in the middle of nowhere.
@@Outdoorstype Yes.......much like Gilberts and Bugle Ranges.
